  1. About 5 minutes into the test, I felt my left hand start to vibrate with the magnetic part of the machine. That’s when I realised I had completely forgotten to take my wedding rings off and hand them to my daughter. I hit the button. A voice came through the ear muffs asking me what’s wrong. I explain I forgot to remove my rings and the voice says “Oh, gold isn’t a problem. They’re alright. They’ll just vibrate from the machine.” They resumed imaging while I was left wondering what do they do with people who have titanium knees? What do they do with people who still have amalgam fillings?
  2. Right. So… I HAD to take out my medical grade titanium out of my nipples and navel BUT rings were ok? Hmmm Gold has far more impurities than titanium.
  3. In the end, my PDBs were fine. No vibrations, nothing. My wedding rings survived their ordeal and I think I did too. I’m not too keen on having one any time too soon.
  4. It took ages to put back in all my jewellery. My navel was a bit tricky with a shoulder not wanting to co-operate. Thankfully Kiddo wasn’t squeamish and was there to lend support and younger eyesight.
  5. My nipples are grumpy from having their BB removed and replaced. I’m sure me being stressed out at the time didn’t help them either. It's done. Closer to getting my shoulder repaired and I can get back up to mischief
