  1. Cain "No residents of this area are hostile." I think this is a bit presumptuous for the Foundation. 'evidently hostile' or 'have expressed hostility' seems like a safer exposition.
  2. 21:06 Devereaux That's terrible (though hopefully made a good piece)
  3. 21:09 Roget Cain: edited
  4. 21:09 Cain I finished it, and I'm pretty meh.
  5. 21:09 Cain I just didn't get anything out of it.
  6. 21:09 Nusquam Yeah, it's kind of cheesy.
  7. 21:09 Soulless Devereaux: Hopefully idk, she knocks me on my grammar hard in my other essays
  8. 21:10 Nusquam Do it without having to resort to a random interview log and I might be impressed.
  9. 21:10 Cain It was pretty straightforward from the start. I expected more, but it didn't develop past the obvious first impression.
  10. 21:10 Cain Maybe if instead of being some objectively benevolent if misguided dream people, the well-people were working towards a more concrete goal.
  11. 21:11 Roget Hm
  12. 21:11 Roget Okay
  13. 21:11 Roget I can work with that
  14. 21:12 Cain That they willingly vocalized. Maybe if they help motivate enough people, the balance of worldly momentum would change overall.
  15. 21:12 Cain And people would start inspiring others to be motivated.
  16. 21:12 Cain And then on top of that,
  17. 21:12 *** Zolgamax joined #rogetbox
  18. 21:13 Zolgamax For the record,
  19. 21:13 Cain the well-people could finally preach and sustain their pseudo-religious philosophy of perfect being to the rest of humanity, where they'd finally have enough resources to propagate they're growing population.
  20. 21:13 Zolgamax I have not eaten French toast and honey together
  21. 21:13 Zolgamax but it sounds delicious.
  22. 21:13 Cain That does sound good.
  23. 21:13 Roget Cain what if it's something that used to be Oneroi, but then it got taken over by peoples with an agenda
  24. 21:14 Roget and Oneroi visits foundation peeps in dreams and says 'this isn't us yo'
  25. 21:14 Roget or summat
  26. 21:14 Cain Roget: Now you've got a more dynamic piece with a dark side.
  27. 21:14 Cain I don't know what Oneroi is.
  28. 21:14 Cain .g Oneroi
  29. 21:14 Glacon Cain: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dream-Hunters -- Dream-Hunters - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "A very long time ago, one of the Oneroi played a trick on the Greek god Zeus. In anger, Zeus cursed all their kind to have no emotion whatsoever. Now the only ..."
  30. 21:14 Cain Oh, that may have had something to do with my take on the piece. Although I stand by what I said.
  31. 21:15 Cain Roget: I'd go farther than that, too, like,
  32. 21:15 Cain craft a synopsis of the Oneroi's history, and how they were divided into sects.
  33. 21:15 Cain Or whatever. Something elaborate.
  34. 21:15 Roget Cain I mean the GoI I'm working on
  35. 21:15 Cain .seen Randomini
  36. 21:15 Glacon Cain: randomini was last seen 2 weeks ago saying: it's called cross testing because it makes the other researchers cross and tests their patience
  37. 21:15 Roget the Oneroi collective
  38. 21:16 Cain I've not been in the SCP for like three weeks. I don't know about recent projects.
  39. 21:16 Cain But yeah, do your thing.
  40. 21:16 Roget Soulless: are you still intending to make some Oneroi scps
  41. 21:16 Cain I'm just spitballing.
  42. 21:16 Soulless Roget: Yes I'm waiting for nanowrimo
