  1. "You claim I do not understand, but every night, the darkness of the sky is purged and washed away by the light of the stars. Every fallen soul is embraced, every mage who feels the connection to the cosmos is shown the path." The woman spoke, or perhaps, it wasn't Chloe speaking. <gold>"We are eternal, and you are a simple thread in the tapsestry of time. Never long for this world."</gold>
  2.
  3. It was almost as if it was an entirely different warrior from the first bout to this one. She was far more effecient in what seemed to be no time at all. Every strike hit harder, her movements were swifter. Between the warrior of Phyros and the Acolyte of Belial, it was a battle of the sky. The depraved power of the moon and the purifying light of the stars.
  4.
  5. And no matter how much corrupt mana Cornelia could call upon, no matter how much her unholy bolts of lightning would slam against the Whitecloak, she would keep coming. It was relentless, and it was backed by the power of one with a powerful connection to the stars running through their veins.
  6.
  7. Even as her own energy drained, she grew more persistent, as if an ardent light had been lit within her body. Not a single beat was missed. Her mistakes were much fewer, and further in between, and even when it seemed like Cornelia might have found an advantage, Chloe crossed through the stars once more, instantaneously stepping before the witch and slamming her foot against her chest, a powerful kick that would knock most anyone off their feet.
  8.
  9. And then, a spirited lunge. Ascalon shot out, aimed for the heart of the witch. <gold>"Be purified!"</gold> Chloe's voice echoed from behind the helmet.
  10.
  11. And then, the blade stopped.
  12.
  13. Mere centimeters seperated the tip of the Arcanium blade and Cornelia's chest. It was as if something had turned Chloe into a statue midlunge.
  14.
  15. And then, the cosmic energy faded.
  16.
  17. "This is my victory. Accept defeat, and you will find mercy." Chloe said.
  18.
  19. It was a bluff, aimed to prevent further fighting, of course. She had come this far without killing, and she wasn't prepared to start just yet. She would capture the cultist. She just wanted to make it as easy as she possibly could.
  20. (Chloe Hastings)
