I'll meet my friends for lunch. (Maybe I just made this decision.)
I'll watch it tonight. (I just now decided. I didn't know about it before you told me.)

= They'll start before 7 and finish after 7.


They will eat dinner at 7:00 tonight.
= They'll start at 7.

- Future progressive can be more polite than simple future for asking when someone will do something.

When will you grade our tests?
 = When will you start and finish them?
 - It can sound a little impatient.

When will you be grading our tests?
 = When will you be in the middle of them?
 - I don't ask about the whole action (start to finish), so this is less impatient.
