WIP - Pyrrha vs Sterling

Skill vs Tactics

It is six in the evening in the Amity Colosseum after an entire day's worth of spectacular festivities and thrilling fights have passed. After a climactic battle between Sans Snowdin and an entire team, the matchup for the next exhibition match is revealed to be between Pyrrha Nikos and Sterling Opal.

The matchup excites the audience, for one thing they get to witness the untouchable champion in action once more. Another is her upcoming opponent, for all they know he is someone who lacks a transforming weapon, but instead relies on a combination of "tactical maneuvers" (dirty tricks) and specialized items to maintain an advantage.

The two fighters make their way towards the arena with Pyrrha walking alongside someone who looks like he belongs in Ironwood's personal SWAT team. They both wave at the cheering crowds for a moment before Sterling strikes up a conversation.

"Good evening Pyrrha," the young man greets, "Do you really think you're ready for anything?"

"Not really, but I can make the most of the situation."

"So do I, but tonight you're going to see something unexpected. I'll show you how a soldier fights."

"We'll see about that."

They arrive at the center of the arena, a platform which floats upwards on its own. The arena's biomes will be unused because this is a one-on-one match...and it is mostly torn up from the last fight anyways. They take a few steps away from each other and assumes their battle stances. Pyrrha has her shield and javelin raised while Sterling braces himself, setting his sights on the spartan.

The announcer starts the countdown.

"THREE!"

Sterling mentally crosses out a few options since her legwear covers most of her legs. So much for starting off the match with the "Xiao Long Kneecapper".

"TWO!"

Despite the short distance, she examines his modular assault rifle. Attached to it is a front grip, a bayonet, a reflex sight, and what seems to be a flashlight on the side rail.

"ONE!"

Both of them tighten their grips on their equipment, preparing to spring into action. Pyrrha leans forward while Sterling bends his knees slightly.

"BEGIN!"

The spartan sprints towards him, shielding her face in anticipation of aimed gunfire while extending her javelin like a jouster on full charge. Meanwhile the commando, cleverly anticipating her anticipation, opts to aim down and fire a burst of shots at her feet. The gunfire-
