Rainy on Your Parade...

01[21:31] <Botherer> It's been two days since the Dream World was first discovered. Lecia's got something on her mind, and she's got the drive to act on it! Regardless of whether it was her decidingto have Rainy tag along or being "plagued" by her company, the two of them set off on a magical excursion. Catching sight of a huge bird seemingly having rainbow materializing from its butt, they follow the rainbow, which leads them to the outside of a town with a rather medieval feel to it, the rickety old and unbefitting wooden sign sitting outside the town reading "Ye Olde Town" in a scribbled mishmash of paint and crayon.
01[21:39] <Botherer> As you stare at the sign, a Furret, armed with a litterbox full of paint puckets and brushes, approaches, looking at you expectantly. Behind it is an small entourage of other Pokemon, a Petilil, a Vulpix, and a Wooper, all looking excited.
[21:40] <Lecia> Clearly, following the rainbow will lead her to her dreams! Objective! Whichever! In the meanwhile, Lecia had certainly told Rainy all about a certain 'Madeline' and how she's in the hospital thanks to something that certainly doesn't seem normal! With a physical description given by Lecia that roughly sums up to 'blonde hair, frailer looking than she is, and MIGHT have a black eye or
[21:40] <Lecia> something though of course a lot can change here', she goes! And arrives! It's almost like finding ancient ruins! Of course, she's probably going to be distracted a large amount while she's here...but hey, it's in the name of fun, she's totally looking while she's at it!
[21:42] <Rainy> Rainy simply hophophops along after Lecia--as in, bunnyhops. She's not too concerned with their surroundings, at the moment. She's daydreaming something about bunearies.
01[21:43] <Botherer> As she dreams of the bunearies, a cloud pops up over her head. She sees the buneary hop hop hopping... Hey, why's it hopping out of her dream cloud?
[21:45] <Rainy> "Hey! Get back in my head please!" Rainy hophophopursues the dream-Buneary and tries to trap it in a bearainy hug!
01[21:46] <Botherer> The Buneary turns around and hops in place, seemingly taunting the little girl and waggling its arm at the little girl, beckoning to follow. The little feller hops into town.
[21:46] <Lecia> Yo dawg, we heard you like dreams. ...Lecia is fascinated by this, not to mention interested at the idea of a Furret that paints. Though not quite in a 'take it home' sense as it is a 'interested'. As for the current scene, Lecia cannot help but find it adorable. ...Still, she's got stuff she needs to do! Best not get distracted too much. ...Onward, with the rabbit!
01[21:47] <Botherer> Lecia can see the Furret and the other Pokemon gathering around the signpost as she pursues Rainy into the town. ( Rainy, DEX check when I summon DiceMaid inside. )

01[21:50] <Botherer> One hop this time! *Hop* One hop this time! *hop* The Buneary bobs and weaves through the town, the scenery of ragbound, gown-adorned, wheelchair-bound, and silly-hat sporting townsfolk, but Rainy is hot on the trail. She hops right over a Glameow and barrel rolls between a Timburr's legs as she pursues the Buneary before finally catching it in her embrace!

[21:52] <Rainy> Rainy triumphantly hugs the Buneary: "I'm going to keep you, and hug you, and paint you, and feed you french toast, and call you Bunbun!"

[21:55] <Lecia> Lecia...didn't pursue the bunny with that much vigor! She notes the wild variety here. Unless they're all wheelchair-bound gown-adorned, ragbound, and sporting silly hats all at the same time, in which case she'd note how they all look the same. It's weird either way! AND WORTH INVESTIGATION! Or at least just wandering around to get a good grip of the area. She'll do that first.
01[21:55] <Botherer> Bunbun waves his arms in the air happily~ Having a friend to run around with sounds like fun. Lecia's...
01[21:57] <Botherer> Lecia goes through a quick scan of the area, and the things that catch her eyes are a troubadour playing music for a Jigglypuff, an extremely out of place looking Bug Catcher with a Caterpie the size of his leg wriggling around in his net, and...
01[21:58] <Botherer> Hmm, let's add a young girl sitting down by the fountain in the center of the plaza, petting an Electrike through her cast-cloaked arm.
[22:01] <Rainy> Rainy carries her victim/friend/bunbun back to Lecia, clutching the pokemon to her chest with both arms as she continues to hop everywhere. After all, bunnies like hopping, but you can't hop while you're being carried, so carrying him while she hops is the best solution. "I think I'll paint a carrot cake with rabbit ears while I eat dinner tonight!"
01[22:02] <Botherer> ... Wait, did she say PAINT him? The Buneary doesn't like this idea all that much and looks a bit apprehensive as he's held on display. Nini puts a tail to her face and shakes her head.
[22:04] <Rainy> Paint abstract art that vaguely resembles him, of course!
[22:07] <Lecia> Cybuster would likely get far too into it and hurt someone. Granzon is just out of the question. For now, Rainy fun times. And she totally said paint the cake. That sounds cute and potentially edible! "Maybe you can paint it with the Furret outside~" And now...yeah, that looks like someone she can talk to! TIME TO INTERACT WITH STRANGERS. Lecia takes a seat next to the girl, and speaks
[22:07] <Lecia> while attempting to not be awkward about it! "Hi, what's your name~?"
01[22:10] <Botherer> Lecia didn't get much of a view of the girl before approaching. As she does before sitting down, she gets that much needed view; commoner's garbs,  a bit bland and colorless and seemingly hand-stitched, fade right in with the small little girl's long brown hair. "Oh, umm... Hello there..." She stares at the odd looking girl. "I'm... Lola. It's, uhh... Nice to meet you." She tries to put on a warm smile.
[22:10] <Rainy> Rainy hops in place right by where the pair sits while subjecting poor Bunbun to a description of all her amazing ideas for art. "...And then you could have this spinny whirly colorful vor... vort... Fort-Ex for eyes! ...No... Maybe that's kinda silly..."
01[22:11] <Botherer> Bunbun STAAARES. Looking over to Nini hoping she isn't always like this. Nini gives an ashamed nod.
01[22:12] <Botherer> Though, to be honest, he did like the idea where she painted a cape invisible, 'cept for glittery stars, so he could run around while it looked like stars were twinkling behind him. That one totally sounded cool.
[22:13] <Rainy> That does sound cool.
[22:13] <Rainy> Rainy attempts to paint such a thing right now with her magic paintbrush.

01[22:16] <Botherer> Rainy whacks her paintbrush at the air while Lecia prepares to wordsbomb the world. She might've succeeded at making the invisible cape, but she can't tell, 'cause if she did, it's invisible.

01[22:22] <Botherer> Lola slowly offers her not-broken arm, since that's her free hand. She can't help but staaare at the girl's mech arm a bit, both in awe and fear of such a thing. "Well, err... This town's... Kinda nice, I guess? Quiet... But nice." Her words come out almost like tiny little whisperblurbs.
01[22:22] <Botherer> Bunbun looks around and pats his back. He doesn't FEEL anything.
01[22:24] <Botherer> The bunny spins around in circles trying to find it. No such luck.

[22:31] <Rainy> "Hey! My Mommy wears glasses like those, except there are two of the... Lenseseses! And it goes on over her ears."
[22:32] <Lecia> If the appropriate arm to shake back with is the mech one, she'll still shake with it! "Quiet, but nice...that's certainly nice! I'm more used to a place that's a lot more busy, so this is a good change of pace~" ...A look around. Did someone fall over? ...And there were a good amount of wheelchairs, at least! ...and what was with the party hats? "...Though I don't get how a quiet place
[22:32] <Lecia> can have people in casts and wheelchairs...if you don't mind me asking, how did you get yours?"
01[22:33] <Botherer> The gentleman smiles. "That sounds delightfully absurd!" He lets out a little chuckle. "Wearing two monocles... It sounds like quite the spectacle! Ah, the follies of the new bourgoise~"
01[22:35] <Botherer> It doesn't really matter which arm it was that Lola borked, she still shakes. "It's... Not like that other town. Port Town... Full of bad people. Sailors... Pirates... Other bad people..." She shivers at the thought. "But... That's not where I got this from." The Electrike looks up wondering why he's no longer being pet to see she lifted up her busted arm to display.
01[22:36] <Botherer> "There's these... These two kids. At the well..." She continues on.
[22:36] <Rainy> In actuality, her mother wears normal glasses, but Rainy's loopy explanation is naturally misleading. "What's a burrjawa? And how come you fell?" Yes, he already explained. 11 year old attention span.
01[22:37] <Botherer> <Lola> "They're mean... Making people pay for water..."
01[22:39] <Botherer> The ignorant old gentleman is just going by Rainy's words. And her words are quite misleading. "The bourgoise! The rich... The elegant... The sophisticated... It's something you'll come to understand in your later years, child!"
[22:39] <Lecia> Lecia listens attentively! "...making people pay for water? That...isn't right." Concern!
01[22:40] <Botherer> He looks back down at his leg and shakes it since it's arbitrarily been decided that he's too fat to see anything below his weight. "Funny, it... Still feels as if there's something there. Would you be a dear and feel my leg for anything unusual down there?"
01[22:42] <Botherer> Lola nods in agreement. "They're real jerks... They know the river's too far... And they won't let anyone up to the well! People tried to sneak up, but..." She looks to her arm. "It hurts a lot if I move it too much!" ;~;
[22:42] <Rainy> "Mommy says not to touch strangers' legs. Hey Nini~" She gestures for the dratini to take a peek.
01[22:43] <Botherer> Nini wriggles over to the fat gentleman's left leg and pokes at it with her tail. Then his right. Back to the left. ( Roll 1d20, adding Nini's Intelligence capability. )

01[22:52] <Botherer> After spending a long, long time poking, she wraps her tail into a lasso and puts it against the man's right leg. She tugs and a "whooshing" sound is heard. Dust clouds fill the air, and you can see some of it just... Floating into the air. "Niii~" she shouts out.
[22:53] <Rainy> "Niii! Hey Mister, why's your leg made of dust?"
01[22:54] <Botherer> Lola now perks up, a legit smile on her face. "... Really? You... You really mean it? You'll make those mean guys pay for breaking me and my dad's arms?"
01[22:56] <Botherer> The old man gasps in horror at this 'accusation.' "My clothes? Coated in dust? Why, the nerve of you, you horrid little wretch! I've yet to hear such a ludicrous declaration in all of my years! I'll have you know, my servant Alfred is..." Bla bla bla boring old man blathering about and stroking his ego while talking about how rich he is that he can afford nice things while simultaneously reprimanding Rainy for no good reason.
[22:56] <Rainy> "Haha, you talk funny."
01[22:57] <Botherer> "Do you find my manner of dialogue AMUSING?" His face is red like a ripe tomato.
[22:58] <Lecia> And her dad's? Yeesh! If that's why the other people are wheelchair bound, this certainly won't fly! ...Lecia hears bits and pieces of the conversation, and...yeah, that's most rich people alright! Rainy is likely to give him grief for it. She's OK with this. In any case, SHE HAS ANOTHER OBJECTIVE! One person might be suffering, but here there's an entire town in trouble! ...Of course, she
[22:58] <Lecia> could potentially get a lot more people to find out where Madeline is since she's also in trouble IRL, but that's certainly not the only reason!

01[23:00] <Botherer> Lola practically leaps off the ground to hug Lecia. TACKLEHUG! She soon regrets it, regardless of whether or not it sends both her and Lecia tumbling all of one sitting girl's height to the ground. "... Owww owww owww owwwie!"
01[23:02] <Botherer> "You have SOME nerve, little girl!" The old man turns away, nose pointed skywards. "Mark my words, this won't be the last you hear of Beauregard von Schrumpaeter!" He storms off, fuming to the point that, because this is the Dream World, you actually CAN see smoke clouds blowing out of his ears.
[23:02] <Rainy> Rainy hophophops after him, chanting "Boring Guard van Scrumpler~"
01[23:03] <Botherer> Nini looks at the man. Weeeeirdo! But sees Rainy trying to go after him and wriggles over, poking her with his coiled up tail. It doesn't quite feel like Nini's tail usually does.
[23:05] <Lecia> OH RAINY. "D-don't hurt yourself!" The hug is returned anyway, even though someone was in fact tackled to the ground (Lecia doesn't mind being thanked, it just took her off guard!).

[23:06] <Rainy> Rainy wraps Nini around her head like a turban and hops back over to Lessy and co.
01[23:07] <Botherer> "... Whoops... Sorry, Lecia..." She holds lightly onto her still-in-pain arm and rocks back and forth a bit, letting out a hissing noise and an "Aaagh..." a couple times before recomposing herself.
01[23:08] <Botherer> With Nini wrapped around her head, Rainy sees dust floating in front of her. It bounces as she hops.
[23:09] <Rainy> "Heeeeey, Miss Robo, why's everything dusty?"
[23:10] <Lecia> Lecia is suddenly thirsty. It's definitely her imagination, but it doesn't change that she could use a drink now! "N-no problem! As long as you're OK, that's what matters. ...And everyone else, too!" And then Rainy. ...Dusty Rainy. ...Hhheeeeyyyy. "Maybe it was because Nini was touching that guy's legs?" Hum.
01[23:11] <Botherer> Nini wags her coiled tail. The dust floating before Rainy's eyes waggles about as well.

[23:15] <Lecia> Step on a crack and UNTOLD SUFFERING. Will you break your mother's back? Will you fall through? IT IS A MYSTERY, BUT IT'S ONE THAT DOESN'T WANT SOLVING. Lecia...is confused, but attempts to grab at wherever the dust is coming from.
01[23:16] <Botherer> Lecia grabs at the dust, and... Hey, it feels like there's cloth in her hands... But... there's nothing there. WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?!?
01[23:16] <Botherer> Well, nothing save the dust.
01[23:16] <Botherer> Nini lets out an excited "Tiiii~", glad Lecia picked up on it.
[23:18] <Lecia> ...Huh. Dusty rags, only somehow without the rags. ...An interesting thing! Of course, the studying will have to wait. She places the Dust-Cloth in her inventory, and prepares herself for ADVENTURE. "Alright, Rainy. We're going to get water at the--um, where is the well from here, Lola?"

01[23:38] <Botherer> "Oh, yeah!" Lola calls Lecia back before she can go off too far. "That girl... Maddie, was it? Idunno if it was her, but... I saw some kids go into the old withering forest 'cross the bridge... There was a bunch of 'em... Like, three of 'em, I think... With some Pokemon, too."
[23:41] <Lecia> She was gonna ask about that again when she finished up and returned, but this works! HALT, AND RESPOND. "...Ah, I see. Did one of the girls of the group look...slightly frailer and smaller than me, with blonde hair?"

01[23:44] <Botherer> A moment of thinking later, and the lightbulb pops up over her head. ... Okay, for some reason it's the tail end of a Girafarig that pops up, but that's close enough.
[23:46] <Lecia> The tail end is poked, if possible. That's a thing!
[23:46] <Rainy> Rainy doodles what seems to be a girafarig with a chainchomp for a tail. On the ground, rather than in the air to summon it, in theory.
01[23:47] <Botherer> "Uh huh. She was pretty small." She tries to show how big, hurting her arm some more in the process. "Had a red tail right at her butt, too. And I... Think the Pokemon she had with her was... It walked on four legs, and had a blue tail that swished around lots, just like hers!"
01[23:47] <Botherer> Lecia pokes at the Girafarig tail. It recoils. ( Roll Will, Lecia! )

01[23:51] <Botherer> A thought crosses Lecia's mind to tug on the neck of the tail. But the impulse passes as quickly as it came. She can choose on her own train of logic whether or not this is a good thing.
01[23:54] <Botherer> Rainy doodles such a thing onto the ground. It looks like it can be picked up.
01[23:55] <Botherer> It's a "black and white" template.

[00:06] <Lecia> IS YOUR GIRAFARIG RUNNING? BETTER GO CATCH IT! Or just get out of the way if it shows signs of life (MAGIC) because WHAT ARE YOU DOING RAINY. Otherwise, definitely grabbing it. She definitely recognizes a Girafarig when she sees one either way. Tugging is a bad idea!

01[00:08] <Botherer> Lecia catches it no problem. The tail end of this one seems to be staring at you.. the floating head also staaares equally intently.
01[00:11] <Botherer> Nini looks at the floating head and the Chainchomprafarig sketch, too. She's got a baaad feeling about this, and slithers off from atop Rainy to tug her away from it.
01[00:11] <Botherer> Not that it'd do anything without Rainy actually WANTING to go. 'cause it's a snake. Since when are snakes STRONG?
[00:13] <Rainy> Rainy trusts Nini, so the little girl lets the dragonsnakething tug her a few more feet away.
[00:13] <Lecia> ...What? WHAT? WHY ARE THESE THINGS STARING AT HER? And why is it coming out of Lola? If it is coming out of Lola and Lecia isn't just imagining that, "...Why is that coming out of your head?"

01[00:24] <Botherer> Aaand they're off... To adventure! They pass by the entrance again on their way out, and can see the ... Err... Wonderful work they did painting the sign. The Vulpix, Wooper and Petilil, all covered in paint from head to toe, stand proudly alongside the Furret as they showcase their ... Err, creation.
01[00:25] <Botherer> The handwriting's definitely much more legible than previously, but surrounding it is the Furret looking all smiley with its hands in V-Shaped pose and super moe uguu anime eyes while a Patrat cries in the corner.
