>Luna entered the dungeons with a sigh.
>Having to keep up all these pretenses at social awkwardness and ignorance was grating on her nerves.
>But, thankfully she had an escape now.
>She took a deep breath in.
>Then she released it, relaxing some of her semi-permanent spells.
>Her limbs lengthened and her fur turned black, reverting to her natural form.
"Ah, that feels nice."
>She stretched her limbs for a moment before striding forward.
>Soon she wouldn't have to take on that pitiful form any longer.
>But until then she'd enjoy her time here.
>Nightmare moved through the long unused dungeon chambers, a wicked grin stretching across her face.
>She would certainly enjoy her time here.
>Eventually she reached an iron banded door with a faintly glowing lamp in front of it.
>She would, naturally, have preferred darkness.
>But then, so would her prisoner.
>And her prisoner's discomfort took precedence
>She allowed a stoic mask to fall upon her face as she opened the door with her field.
>The lantern to her side gave light to half of her body, leaving the other half in shadow.
>She had heard that it cut an intimidating figure.
>It seemed wasted on her guest however, as she was curled up in a corner.
>But she wasn't asleep, no.
>The trembling was evidence enough of that.
>Nightmare crossed the room, slowly, savoring how the act increased the shaking of her guest.
"A hundred more drones died today."
>This brought a flinch.
>NIghtmare placed a hoof on the chitinous back and slowly ran it up.
"Your hive destroys itself as it tries to save you."
"Do their anguished cries as they fry against my barriers echo in your mind?"
>The trembling was growing fainter beneath her hoof.
>A sick smell permeated the air.
>So that was why she was so scared.
>Nightmare's horn glowed, encasing the former queen in her dark glow.
>Flesh knit back together and blood was replenished.
>The trembling came back full force.
>A sniffle could be heard.
"They can't have another queen as long as you live."
"But you know you will be punished for that."
>Her hoof ran along the back of the pitiful thing's head, stroking it.
"But you knew that didn't you?"
>Nightmare's face split into a grin, revealing her sharp teeth.
"You thought you knew."
