  4. Me:
  5. >Dear Emily,
  6.
  7. It is a very pleasant surprise to hear from you! First of all I'd like to say that I'm a fan of your store, and have already recommended it numerous times. I would be very interested in having such a partnership with your store! The deal you propose sounds great, but of course I understand that I would have to offer something in return. As such I'd be interested in what you'd expect me to do for you.
  8.
  9. Anyway, I'm very excited for this opportunity, and look forward to working with your team!

  22. Gearbest:
  23. >Dear friend.
  24. I hope you are having a gread day. Thanks so much for sending us your email address. We have some new arrivals at Gearbest.com, and we are looking for someone to test them and do some reviews. Our team aims at promoting on reddit. We have promoted quadcopters on reddit for one month. Nowadays, more and more people are interested in Chinaphone. Also, we find that you are interested in electronic products, so we think there may be some mutual benefit between us. We want to invite you to be our cooperator and we hope we can benefit your community. We will not violate any sub rules, and we hope you can give us some suggestions on how to promote our products on reddit. We have built relationships with the mods on /r/gadgets, /r/fpv, /r/E-cigar, /r/googlecardboard. We really hope you can join us. I look forward to your reply.
  25. Best regards.

  28. Me:
  29. >Dear Emily,
  30.
  31. Thank you for contacting me about your proposal. If you are looking for someone to do tests and reviews of devices, I would be very glad to help you. On Reddit and Youtube, I have already done numerous reviews on chinese devices, such as the Umi Zero, Teclast x98 Air 3G and many others. You are right that more and more people are interested in Chinaphones, our subreddit has almost reached 1000 subscribers and that number rises every day.
  32.
  33. As you may have noticed, our subreddit (/r/chinaphones) is not a news subreddit. It is for discussion about phones, reviews, questions and advice. To maintain quality content, we do not allow "blatant" promotion, i.e. direct links to store pages, posts like "ELEPHONE VOWNEY IN STOCK NOW, BUY AT OUR WEBSITE", etc.. However, we do encourage stores interacting with interested buyers. If your store has reviews of certain phones, you are free to post them. If someone has a question about a certain phone, like for example "Does the Zopo Speed 7 have a gyroscope?", we allow answers like "Yes of course, you can check in our store at [link]". As long as valuable information is added, you are free to promote your products.
  34.
  35. If we have some kind of agreement, we (the moderators) might also recommend your store. We can put it in the sidebar as a "trusted store", we can recommend your store when people ask where to buy a certain phone, etc.. Since many people distrust chinese resellers, having us label your store as "trusted" might help a lot. But to be trusted, we would have to be sure that when we refer customers to your site, we are certain you will treat them right.
  36.
  37. I hope my explanation is clear. If you have any suggestions/remarks, I would be glad to hear them!
  38.
  39. Best regards,
  40. killani64

  42. Gearbest:
  43. >Hey, killani64.
  44.
  45. Thanks for your reply. I'm totally agree with your proposals and opinions, your explanation is what we plan to do, we will not post the direct links on your sub, we believe that set the links in the comments to do some natural recommendations is better than leading the direct promotional links to reddit. We hope our links can appear in the discussion posts or comments, which will achieve more trust than the direct promotional posts. Also, we expect that the reviews related to our products can give redditors in this community more advice and judgement. Thanks so much. I totally trust you can help our promotion on reddit without violating any rules, thanks so much for your advice! You are so nice! Besides, you can give some advice on how to improve our sub /r/gearbest, we hope more and more people can follow us and discuss something on it. Can you tell me which product you want to review at the first time? I look forward to your reply.
  46.
  47. Best regards

  50. Me:
  51. >Hi Emily,
  52.
  53. I'm really glad we could come to an understanding so easily.
  54.
  55. As for your subreddit, I'm not sure as to what I can say. I looked at it for some time, browsed the submissions, and everything looks really good. You're doing regular giveaways, post interesting news articles, encourage discussion about the products, interaction with readers, etc., all very good stuff. Maybe you could encourage users to write about their experience with your store on the subreddit, impressions about the products they bought, in exchange for a few GB points? I think it comes down to the fact that it's just a slow process, there's only a few ways to get more subscribers faster, and it seems you are already doing most of them. There's also paid advertising on reddit, in the form of "sponsored posts". These are from Reddit themselves, so AdBlock doesn't block these ads.
  56.
  57. I've thought a bit about the product I'd like to review. A few people on the subreddit have already asked about the Doogee F3 Pro, since it has an attractive price with nice specs, so I think I'd like to review that device, to benefit the sub, if I had the choice. But to be really honest, I would be happy to review anything you would like me to, whether it's phones, tablets, Mini-PC, all kinds of technology interest me greatly.
  58.
  59. Best regards,

  62. Gearbest:
  63. >Hey. killani64.
  64. I'm so glad to receive your email, you are so nice. Thanks so much for your advice on our /r/gearbest, we hope we can make it better to benefit our fans on reddit. I plan to post some videos and pics related to some cool gadgets, and invite our cooperators to post texts on it, which can arouse discussions.
  65. Best regards

  68. Me:
  69. >Hi Emily,
  70.
  71. I will do what I can. Tomorrow I will send a message to my co-moderator on /r/chinaphones, /u/beerdude26, to see if he agrees with a partnership with your store. If he agrees, we might do a sort of "announcement" post, that we have a partnership with your store.
  72.
  73. Best wishes,
  74. killani64
