[19:52] <Champion> The invisible attack on Manhattan continues.  No damage has been incurred by the city, save that caused by it’s own panicked citizens in disarray. In their evangelions, the Children sit and wait for orders. Repairs have been completed, but once activated the pilots can still feel a phantom pain from the evangelions’ previous wounds.
[19:53] <Champion> On the command deck, Holley has yet to arrive. Thankfully though, twenty minutes after his departure to retrieve Doctor Faust, Mr. Harper has returned with his quarry in tow. Leon knows it probably should have taken half as long to retrieve the suspected criminal against god, but judging by the blood splashes on Harper’s black suit, it would be a wiser decision just not to mention it.
[19:53] <Champion> Thorp gives another report on the status, informing the Operations Director the suspected Angel has yet to reveal itself. Scanners have found nothing, with the major blackout still ongoing. Thankfully, enough energy has been gathered to support the evangelions and critical functions of the base, though not much else can be spared.
[19:54] <Champion> "So, tell me the good news~" Faust starts, his voice strangely melodic as he spins onto the command deck.
[19:55] * Leon_Raczkowski sips a fresh cup of coffee, looking terribly out of place in camo shorts, band tee, and combat boots with a lizard on his shoulder while everyone else is all military. "The good news is we've got enough energy now to actually fight, and the pilots are here. There's not much else."
[19:56] <Leon_Raczkowski> "On the ground, Tania spotted a light in the sky and beyond pointing scanners and sensors towards where we saw it...we're in the dark.'
[19:58] <Champion> "Hm," Faust replies. The tall blonde man begins to tap the side of his face as he considers it, a mercurial glint in his eyes.
[19:59] <Champion> Faust's eyes light up, and he snaps his fingers as he exlaims, "Eureka!"
[20:01] <Champion> A smile appears on his face, an evil, all too toothy thing. "Ja, but I need un volunteer."
[20:02] <Leon_Raczkowski> "...Oh god."
[20:02] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Pilot or otherwise."
[20:04] <Champion> "I need someone in a big giant robot. Seeing as my babies are the only ones we have..." Faust responds with a dramtic flip of his shaggy mop of hair.
[20:05] * Leon_Raczkowski sighs and taps Thorp: "Open a line to the pilots, time to send one of them into the fire."
[20:07] <Champion> Thorp sighs in unison and complies. A small communications window opens in front of each pilot in their plugs. A grinning Faust, and slightly upset Leon are displayed, promising good things to come. "Hello, mien pilots," Faust greets you all.
[20:08] * Tania_Clarke opens her eyes and coldly regards the image of the doctor.
[20:08] <Jack_Murdock> "What the hell do you want, kraut." He asks, sounding as angry as usual when dealing with Faust
[20:08] * Anto_Belac starts at the sight and tries to avoid Faust's gaze.
[20:08] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Faust needs a volunteer. I have no idea what this entails but since we've got no idea what is out there, we might as well go with whatever he's suggesting."
[20:09] <Champion> Faust grins a little wider, saying, "Oh, so many piggies! Who gets to go to market?"
[20:09] <Tania_Clarke> "...I'll do it."
[20:10] * Anto_Belac starts to speak, but stops once Tania speaks.
[20:10] <Champion> "No no no! I want to choose!" Faust complains, threatening to have a small tantrum. His face morphs into that of a pouting child, and Caesar gives him a look of amusement.
[20:11] * Leon_Raczkowski shakes his head.
[20:11] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Tania: give him a chance to pick who goes. He might have something in mind."
[20:11] <Tania_Clarke> "Hm."
[20:11] * Tania_Clarke sighs.
[20:13] <Champion> "Yay!" the overgrown child known as Faust replies. Clapping his hands, Faust smiles wickedly, before clasping his hands. Theatrically, the doctor places a gloved hand over his eyes, and begins to point at each of the pilots screen, and begins to say, "Eenie meenia minie mo..."
[20:14] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Or maybe he doesn't."
[20:15] <Champion> "...that one is you!" he finishes excitedly. Slowly, the Faust begins to remove his hand over his eyes, revealing that he settled on Anto.
[20:16] <Champion> "Well, looks like your the winner, ja? How would you like to Light up the Night?" Fausts asks, his maniac glee apparent for all to see.
[20:16] * Anto_Belac starts again and yelps, face plastered with terror.
[20:17] * Jack_Murdock lets out a growl when Faust says 'Ja'
[20:18] * Tania_Clarke sighs again and leans back on the plug's seat, tilting her head up to gaze at nothing in particular.
[20:19] * Leon_Raczkowski leans to Faust and asks: "So what is this plan exactly?"
[20:34] <Champion> The plan is simple, or as simple as anything is. One hundred and two stories up the Empire State building, Anto is to plant a Focused Uniform Central Killinger Angel frequency receiver, named for it’s inventor Henry Killinger. Designed to locate, and identify angels, receiver is a prototype of the next generation of Angel detection hardware.
[20:34] <Champion> Once mounted on the peak of the building, the city will be "illuminated' allowing for close range communication with the evangelions and NERV HQ when in operation, as well as allowing targeting software to locate the Angel.
[20:35] <Champion> Deployed outside, Anto waits, plugged into a umbilical port in the Empire State building. The receiver looks like a large satellite dish, scaled for an evangelion. Small enough to be carried, it has been strapped on to Unit 00’s back while Anto climbs. On top of two buildings directly to the south of the Empire State Building, Unit 01 and 02 wait to protect Anto, should anything try to
[20:35] <Champion> attack him. Thankfully, the streets are empty, allowing the evangelions to operate in secret.
[20:38] * Anto_Belac trembles in his seat. "Uhhhhhmmmmmm couldn't they have gotten helicopters to do this?"
[20:38] <Leon_Raczkowski> "VTOLs aren't exactly the most sturdy thing against killer space aliens. Besides, now you get to be the hero."
[20:41] <Anto_Belac> "Okay." He inhales. "This is my job. This will save people. Jack and Tania are watching out for me. This will save people. Save people."
[20:42] * Leon_Raczkowski says to no one in particular on the bridge: "Or he'll have a breakdown."
[20:42] <Tania_Clarke> "Climb carefully," Tania says over the comms, "I don't want you crushing my home."
[20:43] <Champion> "Oh, I hope so. It would be so much fun putting him back together," Faust responds hopefully. The command center does a collective shutter, With caesar hissing at the man.
[20:44] * Anto_Belac wiggles in his seat as he mentally fortifies himself for the task at hand.
[20:45] <Anto_Belac> "We gotta ssssave people." He exhales, "I'm ready. Tell me when."
[20:46] * Tania_Clarke readies the newly issued rifle and scans the the night for signs of the enemy.
[20:46] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Tania, Jack, keep your eyes to the sky and make sure that angel doesn't get the drop on us. Anto, start whenever you're ready, and when you're done just try to meet up with the rest of them. Let's try to keep that thing in one piece too so we can keep comms open."
[20:48] <Jack_Murdock> "Yes, sir."
[20:48] <Tania_Clarke> "Affirmative."
[20:48] <Anto_Belac> "Okay." As soon as he speaks, 00 is off, almost leaping onto the building before scurrying upwards. It slinks and scuttles along the edges as it tries to get the best holds possible on its trek to the top.
[20:54] * Jack_Murdock scans the skies, rifle at the ready for anything that might come their way
[20:54] <Champion> Tania, Leon and Jack scan the heaveens, but nothing is readily apparent.
[20:56] <Tania_Clarke> "Do you see anything?" Tania mutters.
[20:56] <Jack_Murdock> "Hey, Captain, I see something." Jack says idly
[20:57] * Tania_Clarke turns towards Jack.
[20:57] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Oh really."
[20:58] <Leon_Raczkowski> "What have we got Jack?"
[20:58] <Jack_Murdock> "About a quarter mile or so down, a pink light." he says pointing in it's direction
[20:59] * Leon_Raczkowski begins issuing orders around the bridge: "Every damn camera we can spare, point it where Unit 02 saw that light. It's the best thing we've got to go on so far."
[20:59] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Jack, keep an eye on it. Tania too, but be careful. There might be more than one for all we know."
[21:01] <Tania_Clarke> "01, acknowledged."
[21:01] <Jack_Murdock> "Yes, sir. Spreading AT Field." As he says that a slight gust of energy bursts out from 02's body, it doesn't seem to have as much umph to it as usual though...
[21:02] * Tania_Clarke briefly trains her sights at the target before scanning the general vicinity.
[21:03] <Champion> Thorp relays the orders, focusing each camera towards the area Jack indicating. The main hologram isn't working yet, and instead the command staff has to make do with a two dimensional display of the night sky. It's as Jack said, a glowing pink light is floating above Manhattan.
[21:03] <Champion> "Ooooohhhh~!" Faust says with wonder, obviously exciteded.
[21:04] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Any ideas doctor?"
[21:05] <Champion> Caesar seems captivated, the iguana's eyes never leaving the light. Rubbing his chin, the doctor considers it with his characteristic over dramatic flair. "Perhaps.... it is likely an angel, though it seems in no hurry to get to us. Perhaps it might not be an angel at all, but a distraction?"
[21:07] <Tania_Clarke> "...what about you?" Tania whispers. "...do you feel anything?"
[21:07] <Tania_Clarke> Unit 01 lowers its rifle...
[21:07] <Tania_Clarke> "AT Field, full spread."
[21:07] <Tania_Clarke> ..and bathes the area with a ripple of invisible power.
[21:07] <Leon_Raczkowski> "...that's what I'm afraid of."
[21:08] <Jack_Murdock> "Captain, should I fire a shot at it to see how it responds?"
[21:09] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Not yet."
[21:10] * Anto_Belac urges 00 onward as it grapples its way up the tower, both their spines arched like skittering beasts.
[21:10] <Jack_Murdock> "Alright." he continues to stare in the object's general area
[21:11] <Champion> As Tania's A.T. field spreads and is focused outwards to scans for an angel, a response is provoked. A flash of pink light, and a sudden burst as a projective rapidly shoots towards Unit 01.
[21:15] <Tania_Clarke> "Angel!" she exclaims.
[21:17] <Champion> A glowing, pink crystal strikes Unit it the torso. Hexagonal in structure, it gives off a faint glow that slowly diminishes.
[21:18] <Leon_Raczkowski> "...Tania whatever you did got it's attention. Jack: Is it moving?"
[21:18] <Champion> The crytal has struck Unit 01 in the leg, and has lodged itself there.
[21:20] <Jack_Murdock> "Doesn't appear to be."
[21:32] * Champion has changed the topic to: Initiative order: Leon, Tania, Angel, Jack, Angel, Anto
[21:32] * Tania_Clarke grits her teeth and Unit 01 grabs at its wounded leg.
[21:36] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Tania, don't do that again. If it hasn't moved after that, then it could very well be reactive. Let's wait and see...and yes Jack, that means I don't want you to shoot it just yet. Just keep your weapons trained on it. Anto, keep going to put that reciever on a building. We'll keep monitoring it here."
[21:36] <Jack_Murdock> "Yes, sir."
[21:37] <Champion> The light slowly recedes, until the light is dark again, and you are all alone. Something is out there, attacking from where you can't see, and now there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.
[21:38] <Jack_Murdock> "Captain, the light is out."
[21:41] <Tania_Clarke> "Y-yes."
[21:41] * Anto_Belac has completely stopped. 00 barely clings to the surface of the building.
[21:41] <Leon_Raczkowski> "...then maybe it isn't reactive. Eyes peeled."
[21:42] <Champion> "How interesting~. There's blood in the water, and the shark is playing with you now," Faust explains. His expression shifts, as if he was fondly remembeirng old times.
[21:42] * Tania_Clarke lets out a trembling breath, grits her teeth, and 01 pulls the shard out of the leg with its right hand.
[21:43] <Tania_Clarke> Unit 01 looks up and takes aim at the enemy, the barrel trembling slightly.
[21:48] <Tania_Clarke> "...where did you go?" she says with a fake smile.
[21:51] <Champion> There is a pause, and a the silence of the night envelopes you all.
[21:51] <Jack_Murdock> "It's dark as hell out here, can I fire a warning shot and see if it replies?"
[21:52] <Jack_Murdock> "Straight up in the air, I promise not to hit any buildings."
[21:54] <Leon_Raczkowski> "No."
[21:54] <Leon_Raczkowski> "I don't want that thing to suddenly make a beeline for you from behind and donkeypunch you or something. Just...keep looking for it. We'll bring the fight to it."
[21:55] <Jack_Murdock> "I'd rather it come for me so that at least the girl can get it, than just stand around with my thumb up my ass."
[21:56] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Soldiers get paid to follow orders. Sometimes those orders are to just wait. Now shut it."
[21:56] * Jack_Murdock stays in a readied stance as he waits for the angel to make it's move
[21:57] <Jack_Murdock> "Yes, sir."
[22:00] <Champion> The night sky shines little light tonight, the moon absent. With no honking horns, yelling people, or any other the other sounds of New New York, the silence is deafening, and the lack of light only compunds the eerie feeling of lonliness.
[22:07] * Anto_Belac is still frozen.
[22:08] <Leon_Raczkowski> "...Anto?"
[22:10] * Anto_Belac shivers and wraps his arms around himself. "I--I don't kn-know what's wwronngg with me. M-My body won't m-move." He shudders and glances about the plug as if looking for something.
[22:16] * Leon_Raczkowski has his eyes darting from screen to screen and finally catches a glimpse of something on one of the monitors.
[22:17] <Leon_Raczkowski> "There. Right there. Someone get the area where that thing is at and the targeting vectors over to Jack. He wanted to shoot something, so now's his chance."
[22:18] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Tania! Continue protecting Anto...hopefully he'll be moving soon if he knows whats good for him. Jack: You've got yourself an angel. Prepare for a counterattack immediately after you fire though."
[22:19] <Jack_Murdock> "Yes, this is more like it."
[22:20] * Jack_Murdock pulls up his rifle and fires a shot at the angel, with the help of Leon's info
[22:20] <Champion> "Sir! The targeting computer's can't lock onto the image!" Thorp explains, a grim look on his face.
[22:22] <Leon_Raczkowski> "...then we'll have to count on his eyes. At least we know where it is. If this hits it..."
[22:22] * Leon_Raczkowski takes a dramatic sip of his coffee.
[22:23] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Then we can get it's attention. And bring the fight to it."
[22:27] * Tania_Clarke takes aim at the angel as well.
[22:29] <Champion> Jack fires true, a tracer round illuminating the night sky as it find's it's way to the angel. A flash of pink light, and an AT field flashes into existance, blosking the shock. The angel counter attacks in kind, bringing down a flurry of pink crytals down onto Jack.
[22:30] * Leon_Raczkowski sips his coffee, but sips poorly and has some dribble on his chin.
[22:30] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Hrm. So it is reactive."
[22:38] <Champion> Jack's own AT field flickers reactively, the orange screen blocking all the crystals that shatter into millions of pieces upon contact. Faust seems delighted to see this happen. Reaching over, he begins to tug of Leon's sleeve, and asks like an excited child, "Oh, can you go get those after the battle?" Caesar does not enjoy it.
[22:40] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Caesar doesn't wha--"
[22:40] * Leon_Raczkowski turns to look at Caesar?
[22:42] <Champion> Caesar doesn't spare a look at Leon, instead focusing on glaring at the man child who's tugging on his perch.
[22:44] <Tania_Clarke> "Defend 00, huh? Well, if this thing is reactive, then..."
[22:44] * Tania_Clarke 01 lets out a hail of fire with the battle rifle.
[22:44] <Tania_Clarke> "...the best defense is another providing good offense."
[22:45] <Champion> The wave of fire pittles out against the Angel's AT field. Luckily for her, the Angel does seem to want to reply in kind.
[22:46] <Champion> Not immeadiately, anyway, instead, it focus's it's field, and begins to tear away at Jack's AT field.
[22:50] <Jack_Murdock> Gun still fixed on the angel, Jack pulls down on the trigger and lets out a number of shots at the angel
[22:51] <Champion> The battle rifle's rounds go wild, and the Angel's AT field doesn't even have to interfer to protect it.
[22:52] * Jack_Murdock pulls up his hand and forcefully rubs the upper side of his face, 'Crap...'
[22:53] <Champion> The creatures responds in turn, and with a nother pink flash a large crystal imbeds itself in the side of the building. Windows beak, and the sound of screeching metal wails in the air. The building buckles slightly, as it starts to lean to the side.
[22:57] * Jack_Murdock quickly kicks out on eof his legs to keep his balance as the building starts to lean
[22:58] <Jack_Murdock> *one of
[22:58] * Tania_Clarke looks down at the crystal by 01's feet, feeling... something.
[22:58] <Tania_Clarke> "Sir, the crystals are reacting to the Angel's AT field."
[23:00] <Leon_Raczkowski> "How so? Are they shaking? Moving towards it?"
[23:03] <Tania_Clarke> "It's a- a pulse?"
[23:03] * Tania_Clarke answers, uncertain.
[23:04] <Leon_Raczkowski> "...we'll keep that in mind. Next chance we get to attack it, tell me if they react in any way. Otherwise, let's keep moving. That means you Anto."
[23:11] <Champion> As Anto finally manages to conquer his fear and keep moving, fate has other things in plan for him. Almost halfway to the top, Anto loses his grip and begins to fall. Thankfully, he manages to catch his grip at the last second, and holds on for dear life with only his left hand.
[23:12] <Anto_Belac> "---aaaAAAAAAH DAMMIT." He scrunches his face frustratedly. "Uhhhhhhhh..."
[23:12] <Leon_Raczkowski> "...Well, technically you moved."
[23:13] <Anto_Belac> "Aaaaaaaaaaah..."
[23:13] <Tania_Clarke> "00 be careful!"
[23:18] <Champion> Faust rubs the side of his cheeck, while another hand supports an elbow. "Hm, at this rate I'll never get to show off my new toy. Oh well," He laments, before asking Leon if he wants another cup of coffee.
[23:19] <Leon_Raczkowski> "...I'm good doctor."
[23:23] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Alright. If we can't hit it because it's still got an AT field up, then we'll take it away. Jack, Tania: Move up and prepare to neutralize it. Especially you Tania, you seem to be most receptive to it's AT field. Get moving: If we're lucky you can have it down in time for Anto to get some shots in."
[23:24] <Tania_Clarke> "Y-yes, sir."
[23:24] <Jack_Murdock> "I don't think I can. It feels like it's already sapping my field."
[23:25] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Then you'll be there for moral support. Meaning gunfire."
[23:25] <Jack_Murdock> "Yes, sir."
[23:41] <Tania_Clarke> "Closer..."
[23:41] * Tania_Clarke licks her lips and jumps to a nearby building, inching closer to the enemy.
[23:41] <Tania_Clarke> Upon landing, Unit 01 flares it's AT field, pinging the enemy's.
[23:45] <Champion> Tania land's on a building a little bit more south, but about 3 dm higher. The ping's result is instantaneous, and so is the Angel's reaction. Despite the fact that the Angel should be beyond the range of the strike, she can still fell it's presence, and now knows why. Before she can put this news to use though, the Angel unleashes a devastating counter attack.
[23:47] <Tania_Clarke> Seeing the incoming attack, Tania reflexively raises her arm against it.
[23:50] <Champion> The crystals splatter against Tania's AT field, the city getting litter with broken glass as it the winds carry the tiny shards about.
[23:50] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Tania, I know you're probably shitting yourself after having blocked that, but any reaction from those shards?"
[23:51] <Tania_Clarke> "They're connected. We got him now." She replies coldly.
[23:53] <Champion> The Angel begins to glow brightly for a moment, building up more and more. "What is it do-" Faust begins to asks, before the Angel cuts him off. A beam of focused, radiant light is unleashed on Tania.
[23:54] <Champion> Is misses though, and instead strikes the building. It immeadiatly goes up in the flames, metal melting instantly under the intense heat. And explosion of glass from nearby buildings from the ambiant heat litter the city streets. Her foundation crumbling, Tania's going to have to act fast or end up plummeting.
[23:57] * Tania_Clarke deftly leaps away from the falling edifice, landing on a nearby one with perfect posture. An awed expression fills her face.
[23:59] <Leon_Raczkowski> "So Tania, your gymnastics are impressive but Faust and I are very interested in knowing how to kill this thing. What've we got here?"
[00:01] * Jack_Murdock lets out another flurry of shots towards the angel again, hopefully hitting something this time
[00:01] <Tania_Clarke> "The crystal's, they're part of it. I think they remotely react to its own AT Field."
[00:05] <Leon_Raczkowski> "...Faust what is the possibility of us neutralizing the individual crystals and it somehow affecting the main body?"
[00:05] * Leon_Raczkowski turns to Faust, sipping the last of his coffee.

[00:06] <Champion> Faust grins widely, showing off a wicked set of canines. Evilly, he responds, "Lets find out. Tania, lets do some SCIENCE!"
[00:07] <Tania_Clarke> "...acknowledged."
[00:08] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Tania if this works I will buy you a cake of indeterminate orgin on grounds of you being a genius."
[00:15] <Champion> Jack's shots strike home, but pittle uselessly off of the Angel's At field.
[00:21] <Champion> The angel keeps up it's assault, now focusing on Jack, unleashing a torrent of falling crystals.
[00:26] * Jack_Murdock stares down the barrage of enemy shots before jumping off to the side at the last second
[00:26] <Champion> Jack, ever practical and skilled, simply sides steps through the shower. Dipping and weaving effortlessly, he comes out of the attack unscathed, thoughhis building's taken an even bigger hit and has begun to fall over.
[00:33] <Champion> The building begins to collapse, falling into another building. At the last moment, Jack leaps away from certain doom, and manages to just barely land on another, smaller building.
[00:38] * Anto_Belac scrabbles at the controls for some kind of grip, and 00 imitates its action. The titan slides down the side, scraping constantly with massive fingers at any possible hold -- *THUD.*
[00:38] * Anto_Belac has hit the ground butt-first.
[00:39] <Anto_Belac> "NO!" He grinds his teeth together, straining through tears as he continues to grab at the building. "I HAVE TO DO MY JOB."
[00:41] * Leon_Raczkowski looks to Faust: "Maybe I do need that coffee."
[00:41] <Champion> "Well, I suppose since we can see tha thing anyway now," Faust sneers disdainfully. "Anto be a dear and get Tania her present, it'll be in a supply port to the right of the Empire State Building."
[00:42] * Anto_Belac turns to the screen, eyes covered by his arm as he stifles the tears. "I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry -- Okay. *sniff* C-Can you send mine up too?"
[00:42] <Anto_Belac> *my rifle
[00:47] <Champion> "Of fine, whatever," Faust replies with a dramatic flick of the wrist. Leaning over Throp's shoulder, the doctor ignores than mans rather obvious squirms of fear and asks, "It'll be there soon, right Mr. Thorp?"
[00:48] <Champion> "Y-y-y-yes, Dr. Faust," Thorp stammers out, desperate get Faust out of arms reach.
[00:49] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Hrm. Thanks for the assistance doctor. Make sure those two get their "gifts". How's MAGI coming along?"
[00:51] <Champion> "Oh, right," Faust replies, having forgotten Leon was there. Leaving the terrified Thorp alone, he moves to one of the massive supercomputer's moniters. Scarring some poor technician for life, the doctor sits down on top of the tech's lap and begins to read the latest information. "Hm... apparently a couple things. Formost, it can sap energy, thus the blackout."
[00:53] * Leon_Raczkowski turns to Caesar: "You're in the clear for this one."
[00:54] <Champion> Caesar stares back into Leon's eyes. Just...staring.
[01:00] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Tania: Prepare to do some science. Jack: Prepare to do some pain. Anto: Prepare to get moving. We need that reciever up."
[01:00] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Thorp, send our gunman some targeting data if we have any yet."
[01:02] <Leon_Raczkowski> >redact previous statement on Anto, instead not mention him at all because the main character has used enough of my fate points.
[01:02] <Champion> "Yes sir!" Thorp replies, as he begins to relay orders.
[01:05] <Tania_Clarke> "Alright... science," she whispers. "Neutralizing enemy AT Field." Focusing on the nearby crystal, Unit 01 pits its invisble strength against its foe's.

[01:11] <Champion> The Angel is going to take the attack lightly, and begins it's own assault on the girl, a showing beam of radiant light falling down upon her.
[01:12] <Champion> It misses, closely, and tears up the street around her as it asphalt metls, and cars on the street explode from their gas.
[01:13] * Jack_Murdock fires off another volley at the angel
[01:15] <Champion> Once more, Jack can only feel frustration, as his attack uselessly beats against the Angel's AT field. He is met in turn with a barrage of pink crystals.
[01:24] <Champion> Some of the boy's shot manage to get through, and another banshee like wail rips through the night sky, defeaning all who hear it for a coupel seconds.
[01:26] <Champion> Jack's AT field returns, only for it to be sorely tested, as a beam of light descends upon the boy.
[01:27] <Champion> Instead, it goes wide, and rips into the Empire state building, causing catastrophic damage.

[01:27] * Tania_Clarke looks in horror as the building is damaged.
[01:28] <Champion> The building goes up in flames, as parts fall down onto nearby buildings, crushing the street. Underneath, in the Nerv HQ, the command cneter can feel the shuttering of the bulding.
[01:29] <Champion> Caesar grips his claws into Leon shoulders to keep from falling over, but manages not to cut the shirt or draw blood.
