<23:25:33> Deniz: now, as a former staff member, I was able to read applications on the forums, and see the reason behind accepting people, and denying people, right
<23:26:07> Deniz: most of the time, the reason for not hiring a certain guy was because, the person didn't help out much in chat, and muggles, and that the server / staff team was looking for more
<23:26:36> Deniz: which i totally agree on. before becoming staff, you should definitely have helped out in chat a lot, been active, haven't broken any rules, and helped muggles

<23:27:35> Deniz: you follow the staff rules, you keep up with your duties, you're active, and you baicly help out, whenever needed, wherever needed, right?

<23:29:21> BurntCrab: essentially yes - but promotions are more geared towards improvement. to get a promotion, you really have to go above and beyond, show progression, and start to exceed expectations

<23:32:07> Deniz: I'm really surprised by a few recent hirements made by headstaff, as I said earlier; hiring someone requires that the person has helped out before in chat, and muggles

<23:36:36> Deniz: There has been occasions where someone, who never were on, who never helped, and when I saw them on, I literally asked myself "who is this person", and still got promoted

<23:43:28> Deniz: Congratulations to that person, etc. etc.
<23:43:47> Deniz: The person wanted a portkey bag, and was standing infront of another staff member (recently new hired prefect)
<23:43:57> Deniz: Now, this person said
<23:44:00> Deniz: "I want a portkey bag!"
<23:44:07> Deniz: Guess what the staff member said.
<23:44:14> Deniz: "You can buy one"

<23:44:18> Deniz: "But I don't have any money"
<23:44:21> Deniz: "idc"
<23:44:26> Deniz: ^ That was literally the message

<23:44:50> Deniz: I screenshotted it, and send it to a few other staff members, and their reaction was the same as mine
<23:44:57> Deniz: unbelieveable
<23:45:45> Deniz: The staff member did end up with giving the player a portkey bag (dropped their own), but this does not change the fact
<23:45:47> Deniz: of what happened
<23:46:14> Deniz: I were able to see this, as I was looking on them, but players who were near, and didn't look on them, could really have gotten the wrong impression
