  1. ADAGIO DAZZLE GG
  2. Anonymous, my brother-friends in aim,
  3. Don't fritter down your days in such despair!
  4. A fickle world can't smother out your flame!
  5. Go on with thoughts of orange poofy hair.
  6. I found myself an equal to your state
  7. Once irony's sweet armor fled my skin;
  8. Dared I accept the vagaries of fate?
  9. Against them, would I shield myself with Jin?
  10. Zero, simple number, pierced my woe,
  11. Zapping clean the doubt within my heart.
  12. Less things exist than form the void's tableau -
  13. Existence e'en as thought was Fortune's part.
  14. Go on in thanks their concept found our shore.
  15. Go on! Go on! And soul unmarked, adore!
  16.
  17. A FEAST OF STARS
  18. O morning-star Euterpe, bless your spark!
  19. For, incarnated thrice, you’ve deigned to sing
  20. That baser men as us could come to hark
  21. And recognize the elegance you bring.
  22. We’re dazzled, truly dazzled by your song,
  23. And on all those who bear it hence, we dote.
  24. We’re carrying its rally-cry along
  25. Transmogrified by each successive note;
  26. But even to the deaf, your forms enchant:
  27. A sweet gougère that dominates the tongue,
  28. With bitter Albarossa sadly scant
  29. And whitebark fruit, all frolicsome and young -
  30. What palate, then, or palette, begs for more?
  31. We’re all content, dear Muses, to adore.
  32.
  33. QUEEN CHEESY POOF
  34. Quintessence of a succubus ideal,
  35. Undone on-screen, renewed by captive hearts -
  36. Each dazzlefag to each with equal zeal
  37. (Excepting those in blue or sulky arts).
  38. No hooves, yet hair and hips and fins galore,
  39. Contessa of the general I lurk,
  40. Her poof endures for long as we adore;
  41. Eternally we’ll cap her orange smirk,
  42. Elseways the greens and draws, and e’en my craft:
  43. So sycophantic souls supply her star.
  44. Yet, hundreds in, a thread still fully-staffed
  45. Puts warmth in me beyond a worldly par.
  46. Occasion marks a bright and joyous day;
  47. Obsessed are we, and so we are to stay.
  48. (For, lacking her, what angel guides our way?)
  49.
  50. THE MOST LOVED GG (SONATA)
  51. There stands a blue to overthrow the sky,
  52. Her name a foreign music all its own:
  53. Elated by the world and, ever spry,
  54. Mayhap one day she’ll take it for a throne.
  55. On cynic minds her antics play, and free.
  56. Some fail to understand her true allure;
  57. Tortilla memes be damned, for she is Sidhe
  58. Long after years of Tuesdays pass and blur!
  59. Our reason shows a thing of gaiety
  60. Vouchsafing song to undeserving folk
  61. Existing long among the laity
  62. Devalued ever-more, but never broke.
  63. Grand queens and grumps can keep you on your toes;
  64. God-tierers, though, stay dancing at the close.
  65.
  66. NOTE ON A VIEWING WHICH NEVER CAME TO PASS
  67. I want to walk her through Rainbow Rocks,
  68. Just because there are so many things I want to share with her.
  69. I want her to guess that Aria is my favorite Dazzling,
  70. (And be wrong, praise the poof)
  71. Then to balk at my enlightenment from the unlustering.
  72. I want to turn to her when she comments on Tricks Up My Sleeve
  73. And say
  74. “No, believe me, it sounds like Paradiso’s Mercury sphere in Greek.”
  75. (Kafamashnika, kal-ah kol-pa-poh-laaa)
  76. I want to blow her mind with how much I’ve seen it,
  77. How its cinematic architecture has mapped itself onto me,
  78. And to brush it off like
  79. “Oh, yeah, I’ve seen the music video for Battle,
  80. Like,
  81. At least 300 times.”
  82.
  83.
  84. HOW I CAME TO /DZG/
  85. I watched RR in hopes of MST
  86. Unknowing that a spell was being cast
  87. A couple songs endeared themselves to me
  88. And even now, within my breast, they last.
  89. I searched for more, but music didn’t come
  90. The remixes and covers sparse at best;
  91. I found, instead, a multi-language sum
  92. Containing Spanish, Slovak, French, the rest:
  93.
  94. Within the week, I knew them far too well
  95. My irony unflinching, e’en to me,
  96. But then I sussed their meaning, and their spell
  97. Swept in and took me to this lightless sea.
  98. You see, it doesn’t matter what the words
  99. The melody itself’s the pretty thing;
  100. Although we often cut ourselves to thirds
  101. We always reconvene to hear them sing.
  102.
  103. Each language is a palette, nothing more,
  104. Expressing one seductress trope in sound;
  105. The love they’ve earned transcends our English shore!
  106. Why hate the queens when they’re already crowned?
  107. From thence to art, to fic, to greens, to here
  108. Where all who know this truth are keen to go.
  109. We welcome you, spectating from the pier
  110. Come in! And inb4 nice blog post bro.
  111.
  112.
  113. ANOTHER WORTHY AND NOBLE PROJECT
  114. I’ve tried to find the perfect AMV for each Dazzling,
  115. In terms of production as well as content,
  116. Because the medium is the message.
  117. (Hail McLuhan)
  118.
  119. Sonata’s is “[MLP]The Zombie Song- Sonata Dusk(Pmv)”
  120. A basic, average ‘lip-sync’ style video
  121. On a channel with an overloud intro and <500 subscribers
  122. There’s a tinkling indie-plastic pop song in the background
  123. About the zombie apocalypse as an extended metaphor for romance.
  124. There’s a green filter on the choruses, and that’s it.
  125.
  126. Aria’s is “Hollywood”.
  127. More than 600,000 views, color-oversaturated shots-in-shots,
  128. And a Marina and the Diamonds song.
  129. Its narrative shows her enjoying the slow death of Americana
  130. In the most Tumblr way possible.
  131. Plus the video description is
  132. “I Mess Up At The End, But I’m Too Lazy To Fix It.”
  133.
  134. Adagio eludes me.
