-Choa Bird: A species derived from a de-extinction project involving large flightless birds. In spite of its endemic belligerence and lack of intelligence, it is still domesticated on some planets lacking in more appropriate livestock. Fortunately, the choa bird's true value does not lie in its ability as a beast of burden: the luxurious down it sheds is almost as prized as chinchilla fur on the galactic market.
-Diablotaur: A red, bovine creature genetically engineered as an alternative source of devilstrand. Its milk is a liquid distillation of devilstrand mushrooms-- which, as it turns out, is a potent hallucinogenic in humans.
[]-Scrim: highly productive egg-laying, scrim jelly, very vulnerable to cold.

-Scraprat: A large, rodentine animal genetically engineered from beavers. It constantly chews on rocks to keep its fast-growing teeth in check, swallowing chunks of them in the process. Its gullet extracts trace elements from the stones, which collect in hard bumps on its tail. These dermal deposits can be cut out painlessly and processed like scrap metal.
-Illuminant Myconid: Half-fungus and half-cnidarian, this being's mushroom-like head and body is curtained with hundreds of glowing nemacytes. Though genetically-engineered as a novelty pet, it somehow found its way into various caveworlds, where it became popular as a portable, low-maintenance source of light. In some cultures, it is considered sacred.

-K9 Automated Defense Unit: A model of robotic attack drone, from a pattern copied so many times that the original no longer exists. Its design is based on actual dogs once used by ancient Terran law enforcement.
