#OpAlbuquerque Tweetstorm 4/2 at 5pm MST

Since 2010, the Albuquerque Police Department has shot and killed 24 civilians. After the recent shooting of James Boyd, the citizens of Albuquerque have decided to call upon both the city of Albuquerque and the state of New Mexico to address the APD's excessive and, in many cases, unnecessary use of force. The people of Albuquerque have composed a list of 14 demands that they expect to be followed through on, with the goal of addressing all of the problems that have led to each of these incidents. Our goal is to support the citizens of Albuquerque in any way that we can in both their online and offline actions. We firmly believe that the demands outlined by the citizens are reasonable steps to take to ensure the safety of police officers and the citizens they protect, and that these demands should apply not just to the APD but to every police department in the country. We ask everyone interested in working towards these goals to participate in our tweetstorm on 4/2 at 5pm MST.
