Q: What are you playing on, it is emulator?
A: No, I play on a Gamecube through a Gameboy Player using a Gameboy SP as a controller.

Q: Why do you choose Totodile?
A: Because the Totodile evolution family is the best for the speedrun, without it, my time would not be nearly as fast.

Q: Do you really need to use Totodile specifically, couldn't you use some other Pokemon?
A: Yes. Yes I do. Otherwise I will not challenge my World Record.

Q: Why did you keep reseting after getting Totodile?
A: If it looks like there is no reason, it's generally because my stats were bad. I need to have great DVs in attack and special stats otherwise I can not complete the run fast enough

Q: What stats are good and what stats are bad?
A: I check my stats as soon as I can, because it takes to long to wait until I level up. At level 5 I will reset unless my attack is 12  or 13 and my special defense is 11 and my speed is 10 (might run with 9 speed if 12 Defense and/or 13 attack)

Q: You didn't even get to his stats, why did you reset?
A: Totodile was a female, so it's attack DV was 0 or 1, aka the worst.

Q: About what are the chances of getting a Totodile with stats you will keep?
A: I will keep about 1 in 12 Totodiles.

Q: Why do you set the time around 5:30pm?
A: It keeps the game at day for Route 32, which gives a higher chance of Bellsprout, but then turns to night before Ilex forest so I can catch a Oddish/Paras there in case I still don't have a Cut slave.

Q: What is Poliwag/Sentret/Bellsprout/Sandshrew/Oddish/Paras for?
A: They are HM slaves, Poliwag gets Waterfall and Whirlpool, The other one gets Cut.

Q: What is the current World Record?

Q: How much time do you need to save to get a 3:23?
A: I think it's like two seconds, but I didn't calculate it specifically. If it was Crystal it would be ~2 seconds based on the seconds of my real time, but Gold could be different by a little bit for reasons I don't know

Q: Why do you use ingame time and not real time?

Q: Is there a new route? What is different?
A: The route got a pretty decent change recently. The main changes come from getting an Abra and Teleporting to skip trainers before Sudowoodo and skips Rock Tunnel a second time (Gold exclusive strat), getting Return, and not getting Earthquake, and doing a different route through Kanto. This effects a lot of other small things in the run as well, such as PP/item management.

Q: How much time does it save? And where on the splits should you make up time, or lose time because of it?
A: The entire rerouting saves somewhere between 3-4 minutes (very hard to calculate perfectly mathematically when compound RNG is involves). There are small time saves all over, I'm honestly not sure where the time gain will show up because trainer fights are substituted where they are fought as well (eg I skip trainers between Whitney and Morty, but I fight 2 trainers in there that I usually fight between Jasmine and Clair). Pryce and Jasmine are now also done in a different order - this is so you can enter Blackthorn early and get Poliwag at a lower level + and elixer (skips a centre)

Q: Why do you use Frame 4?
A: Because it's sexy :3

Q: Why do you name yourself and Totodile 'I'?
A: Because it's faster to name them one character for text purposes, and the letter 'I' gives a nice spin as if the game was self-narrating

Q: I just heard you orgasming like crazy and I couldn't see why...are you crazy?
A: There are several trainers in this game that spin like crazy. It's either because one caught me, or one didn't >_>

Q: Isn't this a luck based run?
A: Yes, there is luck involved. Yes, I am still running it. I love pokemon and will run it regardless :)
