Q: waaaa you're not following the lore properly
A: trust me. I followed this line since the beginning of G1, even if I skipped out on G2. I can recite every set I own from memory. BIONICLE is/was one of the formative influences of my taste in fiction, along with animorphs and asoue. I followed the web serials as they came out - tuyet's dark toa empire blew my adolescent mind. also this isn't actually a question.

Q: genderswapping? really?
A: yeah. canon gender ratios and gender/element assignment are stupid and lame. my imouto wanted a female ta-matoran and jala (this is after naming day, the LEGO group's canon explanation for renaming matoran post-Maori lawsuit (see also: tohunga -> matoran)) did the trick. if it rustles your jimmies that badly just assume they're trans, since bonkles are biomechanical robots and therefore have no reason for gender (aside from the decisions of the Great Beings, who were fuckups anyway (see Orde from the serials or their response to the Element Lords in the Core War)). I mean we already have Tamaru right? (this is a joke u dullard).

Q: Favorite year of Bionicle?
A: Mata Nui's atmosphere was amazing. Metru Nui (Visorak hordes aside) is also amazing. Mahri Nui is underrated, Karda Nui wasn't implemented as well as it could have been, and Bara Magna... perhaps you'll see my take on it eventually, if we ever get that far.

Q: Favorite character?
A: Hahli is high up there, for sentimental reasons, as is Krakua. I remember reading about Krakha and Mavrah, certainly, and I have like three Pahrak for some reason but I think the award has to go to my very first set: Gali Mata. I remember exactly where I was when my mom brought the canister out of the closet in a house that burned down years ago. :,]

Q: why isn't this on /qst/?
A: BIONICLE is teegee, anon. also, while being able to identify anons would be nice, I personally dislike /qst/'s board culture (lack thereof). I can't draw anyway. HAHA OH WAIT it is now on /qst/
