  1. Within the contents of The Path, there are few things she takes note of. How to better her connection to the Arcane within certain locations. How her element can provide a natural tie to the world around her, and how being within a location full of nature can amplify ones connection.
  2.
  3. With Agava in tow, she wanders into the grove. As the sun sets, the canopy's assist with making the dimly lit location even darker. In the distance, she can hear the rushing of the rivers, the chirping of the crickets, the hooting of owls! A feeling of serenity washes over her before daring to begin.
  4.
  5. Wandering to a circle of trees, she approaches the center, softly sitting upon a pile of thick grass. Eyes closed, she inhales deep. "As much as I enjoy the small talk, standing around chatting won't let me help anyone." Thus, she sighs, crossing her legs, and folding her hands within her lap.
  6.
  7. "Anyways, thanks again for checking up on me, it means a lot." The heavy breathing begins, silently counting to ten, inhaling on the odd numbers, exhaling on the even.
  8.
  9.
  10. (Thera Minerals)
  11.
  12. The dryad walked next to her friend towards the grove, her hair rustling calmly with each step, which in turn remained silent as they marched through the dirt and grass till they finally reached her serenity filled home.
  13.
  14. The dryad gave Thera a warm smile as she slowly sat down close to her, only to start rooting herself into the ground as her head turned to look towards Thera as her lips parted and the chorus of gentle whispers replied.
  15.
  16. 'Could not leave a friend... sad that self lacks abilities to help... can only imagine pain from spores and tar...' the dryad said calmly with her face twisting in embarrassment
  17. (Agava)
  18.
  19. "You're a good friend, you know that?" When she speaks, her voice is clear, ringing through the woodlands. Raising a single hand, it falls upon Agava's shoulder. Tight, her digits curl into the teen, providing a rather stern grip.
  20.
  21. "..and it's fine. Don't be sad about that. We all have our strengths, and weaknesses." A phrase stolen directly from her mentor, finding it applying to this situation as easily as it did her own. "I just hope I'm strong enough to help that monster become a man again, should I see him again."
  22.
  23. With that, she kicks off her sandals, curling her toes into the soils. Her hand upon Agava falls, she leans back, and both hands press into the dirt. With another heavy breath, her eyes come to a close, and she focuses.
  24.
  25. Feeling for the life around her. The soil between her fingers and toes. To the grass that surrounds her. There is a thrumming sensation, as she feels Agava's presence, rather than taking it in with her sight. From Agava, she can feel the tries, and the life contained within them.
  26.
  27. Much like the book said, connection to the world is easier when nature is in abundance.
  28.
  29. "...so...peaceful."
  30. (Thera Minerals)
  31.
  32. Agava blinked while watching her friend, observing her actions as she felt Thera's hand rest on her only to fall onto the soil within which remained her own roots. The dryad blinks as she soon after closes her eyes and her consciousness tried to pull Thera's own one deeper into her bond with the Grove she grown over the years.
  33.
  34. In moments notice both of them ended up hovering in a bright, vast network of connections that allowed both of them view everything that was happening around Agava's small realm without a single being hiding in it.
  35.
  36. They could notice each of the bugs moving against barks of the trees, bushes and grass, with each making it feel as if they were moving on ones skin, with each chirp of the cricket, hoot of the owl and song of the bird coming from as if directly next to them.
  37.
  38. In moments notice they soon ended up as if next to Nia, observing her from all directions, making it somewhat confusing for someone like Thera at first as perspective kept switching every second, showing the fae from different angles and distances at split seconds notice.
  39.
  40. 'Peaceful, revealing and opening mind. This is how plants see, feel and hear, its how I truthfully exist whenever I am not locked to my self, where I feel complete and not restricted.' the dryad spoke, her voice sounding clearly, far beyond what was usually heard whenever she spoke through plants.
  41. (Agava)
  42.
  43. As she felt her consciousness slip away, she began to receive dozens of visions. All life within the forest, even the glimpse of a fae! It felt as if she were looking at this creatures outside of her own body- a feat she wouldn't be capable of achieving alone. Breath taking, and stunning, a cherubic smile spread across her features.
  44.
  45. "This is amazing! I've read about how Arcane magi can pull something like this off, but to actually see it- experience it- it's eye opening! Thank-" She shakes her hand, raises her hands, and wipes her dirtied fingers on her ivory dress.
  46.
  47. "Thanks for showing me that, Agava." Clinging her cracked leather tome close to her chest, the girl gives a firm, affirmative nod. "...that made my decision a little easier."
  48.
  49. Hand extended, she offers a much lightergrip to Agava's shoulder. "I'm going to be going on a trip, soon, and when I get back, I want to hang out again, here, with you."
  50.
  51. Mind cleared, resolve restored, she aims to make he way to her home. Ready to embark on her next journey.
  52. (Thera Minerals)
  53.
  54. Agava opened her eyes shortly after she helped Thera's consciousness return to her body, only to reply with a warm smile to her friends remark just as her roots began to retract back into her body, disappearing between her bark like skin and the stem green skin.
  55.
  56. Her eyes moved between the tome the girl appeared to have been holding, hand that was rested on her shoulder and then Thera's eyes. After a moments hesitation Agava nodded faintly as she soon replied with the chorus speaking softly.
  57.
  58. 'Be safe on your journey... Grove is your home... seek it when you need and want to... will be waiting.' the dryad said before deciding to slowly pull out an acorn from her hair, she soon handed it to her friend as if to wish her luck and let her keep it as a momento.
  59. (Agava)
  60. She takes the acorn with a smile, nestling it away within her ivory locks. "I'll be safe, and when I get back? I'll be a lot more capable than I am now, and-" Biting her lower lip, she averts her gaze, a flush of red dares to blemish her features.
  61.
  62. "Be safe while I'm gone. Don't enter the caves up north, and...you better be here when I get back!" Reaching into her satchel, she hastily hands Agava a foil-covered pie, before making a beeline to the treeline, waving as she departs.
