  1. Rewatch first couple minutes of ep 1
  2. - we are immediately introduced to the utopian city of psycho pass. A helicopter is weaving throw the tall buildings, while cars flood the streets and robots fill the empty lanes. There are lights beaming from the buildings. Colors. Smoke emanating
  3. -we already get a sense of makishima and kougamis personalities
  4. -the camera is looking down on akane, symbolizing ginoza's initial perception of her and akane's inexperience in her new field.
  5. -akane asks the inspectors to take care of her, showing her density towards their roles
  6. -akane is overwhelmed by the heavy burden of the dominator as she picks it up. Its complexity far exceeds what she handled in her training.
  7. -the detail on the dominators hud
  8. -kougami and ginoza sr.'s opposite approaches to akane's timidness
  9. -akane is already in fear only minutes into the operation. She points her dominator at an unconscious body

  13. Episode 2
  14. -these advanced mornings seem typical to the average pp citizen. The system tells you your psycho pass when you wake up, your intake of calories the day prior, and how much you should consume for breakfast. The system makes you breakfast to fulfill that. It then proceeds to inform you about the forecast.
  15. -akane bids farewell to the avatar as she leaves her apartment
  16. -overhead shot of building with detailed surrounding landscape - moving cars, highways, contained grassy sections
  17. -shion is already introduced as a sloppy mess. Shes adjusting her sock tights, her hairs a mess, shes smoking, and her cleavage is showing. The tone of her voice shows disinterest and boredom towards her initial encounter with akane until she learns her name. Instead of professionally greeting her, she immediatly brings up the kougami incident, teasing akane about it. Lesbian chick leaves her room also

  19. -akanes choice of being an inspector was to find her own worth. Every available job for her had at least one other person just as good as her, except for the one she would eventually select.

  21. Episode 3
  22. -the amalgam on kougamis wall dedicated to makishima, whom he doesn't know anything about yet
  23. -akane is driven to get along with the enforcers, despite being aware of their roles.
  24. -their is a legitimate fear of dominators, possibly more so than regular guns.
  25. -a major flaw is revealed about the dominators, however. If its outside the sybl systems range, then it doesn't work.
  26. -deaths dont merely happen by accident, revealed by kagari and ginoza srs reaction to the case.
  27. -while akane was trying to figure out of it was a murder or not, everyone else was one step ahead and thinking about what the motive was.
  28. -akane was the only one to react to tachibana being bullied. The manager says that they need someone in his position.
  29. -kougami defends akane and helps tachibana.

  31. -fucking adredenline running action scene, crafted by pure strategy.
  32. -are they really the detectives they claim to be?

  34. Episode 4
  35. -online lobby where people can unload, and talk about personal issues with an avatar
  36. -the choir type music adds to the eeriness of the online chat lobby, especially the mysterious avatar.
  37. -akanes timidness is given more attention by her reflection off the avatar.
  38. -avatars name is tailsman. He has a huge following
  39. -akane easily accepts any advice shes given, despite the source. She easily trusts people
  40. -akane and kougami are strangely connected, in a completely hypothetical sense
  41. -akane still can't understand kougami.
  42. -akane looks up to ginoza sr, and hes a good source of advise
  43. (Theres no wasted dialogue)
  44. -despite how convenient the sibly system makes peoples lives, they can still end up unemployed, much to akanes surprise
  45. -kougami is easily the best detective, shown by how he initially handles the second case of the series.
  46. - kougami has a lot of respect towards masaoka (ginoza sr)
  47. -another overhead shot of a skyscraper. So high you can even see the clouds, which are moving
  48. -the online realm is distinctly different than rl, with its neon flashing colors and space like atmosphere
  49. -the sounds online echo, also adding to its eery atmosphere

  52. Episode 5
  53. -kougamis talent as a detective shows again. He can easily think in the perspective of the target
  54. -character art is inconsistent in this ep
  55. -super detailed recording video layout on kougamis computer
  56. -akanes take on death is different from kougamis professional one
  57. -culprits last checkup was the annual one 4 years ago. He was able to avoid the street scanners by select routes since then.

  60. Episode 6
  61. -Shakespeare - lovely, yet cruel tales
  62. -kagari explains that people are afraid of drinking, so they stick with therapeutic tripping or going virtual.
  63. -akane and kagari are almost like best friends
  64. -akanes friends are a good indication of what life is like in the city compared to akanes
  65. -despite the ss picking perfect jobs for people, people can still fall into debt
  66. -this episode is a clear indicator that the people of pp love to worship idols
  67. -kougami is obsessed with makishima, almost to the point of paranoia
  68.  
  69. Episode 7
  70. -kogami believes that the user has to be tougher than the weapon - dominator
  71. -no flashback is needed to describe sasayama and his case. It was pure kogami dialogue with cool camera angles, one particularly of his clenching fist
  72. -makishima essentially believes that this systematic lifestyle makes everyone living corpses
  73. -technology is advancing, but the humans are regressing.
  74. -makishima states that the stat that people are dying younger will probably never be revealed
  75. -using ouyo's (fuck her name) father as an example, people cant express themselves because of the pp system
  76.  
  77. Episode 8
  78. -old buildings still exist. The school is around 100 years old
  79. -the more intelligent you are, the better job youre given
  80. -makishima takes an immediate interest in kogami
  81.  
  82. Episode 9
  83. -kogami feels good about getting a little closer to makishima. Makishimas essentially the same
  84. -artificial backdrops can be spawned for filming movies
  85. -it plays the news
  86. -akane is always looking up at people
  87. -humans are so dependent on technology
  88. -saiga (clinical psychiatrist) can tell fucking everything about akane by just looking at her, similar to the ss, but traditional
  89. -charisma has three elements
  90. The nature of a hero or prophet
  91. An ability to simply make you feel good when youre around them
  92. And the intelligence to eloquently talk about all sorts of things
  93. Kogami says that makishima is all of them

  100. -enforcers need permission from inspectors to carry arms
  101. -makishima loves to observe things and be the third party
  102. -kougami puts akane at a loss
  103. -akanes friend tells kogami that even in school, every problem akane gets herself involved in is immediately resolved.
  104. -makishima has a habit of looking down on people, as revealed by the cyborg
  105. -an oppsite aspect is reveladed about kogami to makishima. Makishima tests whether kogami will leave akanes friend, which he doesnt. In a rl situation, makishima would.

  107. Episode 11
  108. -with the unknown underground system, its shown that makishima has access to a lot of sketchy shit.
  109. -makishima disposes of his pawns like trash or with respect, depending on who it is

  111. -makishima believes that people only have value when they act based on their own will.
  112. -makishima wants to see the splendor in peoples souls
  113. -the way makishima holds the shotgun
  114. -who judges whether or not someone is a criminal?
  115. -intense fucking torture on akanes friend before alane
  116. -the weight of someones life when you're using a real guns as opposed to a dominator cause youre making the judgement

  121. Episode 12
  122. -criminals can become enforcers, depending on if theyre capable of not. However, becoming an enforcer essentially means they cant go back to normal.
  123. -prison is a gas chamber
  124. -prisoners can order things to their cell
  125. -antisocial communities can still be formed under the ss's nose
  126. -even orthodox artists, like the singer, are prone to having high crime coefficients. It happens when people become deeply involved in their art. Art is a medicine and a poison
  127. -artists can get approved, but that doesn't save their pp
  128. -people look down on unauthorized bands because theres a potential that itll cloud your pp if you listen to them or associate yourself with them
  129. -not much emphasis is put on sasayama, despite him being an important character in kogamis past. Things like diolougue from other characters, his soundless actions and expressions, and even his profile pic tell his story.
  130. -masaoka believes that if you stay somewhere long enough, it'll become a part of your daily life. In his case, its being an enforcer

  134. -when people make decisions, they ask for sibyls judgement on them
  135. - if the sibyl system is absolutely perfect, i could be exclusively run by machines. However, we have enforcers, inspectors, government.
  136. -a system can be perfect is everyone believes it is
  137. -criminally asymptomatic person - 1 out of every two million people, rare cases where the result of the person's cymatic scan doesn't match with their criminal psychology

  162. Kogami seems anxious about finally meeting makishima. He even kicks the offline elevator in frustration
  163. -more emphasis is given to kagari, whos going to die later on in the ep
  164. -makishima and kogami exchange quotes
  165. -their distinct fighting styles
  166. -makishima shows fatigue after beating up kogami, symbolizing how he doesn't really do the heavy lifting.
  167. -akanes hesitation to kill makishima, especially after what hes done.
  168. -kagari knew death was near and embraced it like only he would, even after taking everything in all at once

  171. -two enforcers are missing: kagari who died, and some random chick who escaped

  180. -Kogami notices the chiefs body being pushed out. This is an example of kogamis critical thinking, as opposed to his colleagues vaguely looking at the picture right in front of them
  181. -ginoza hesitates to kill kogami, going against his strict dense of justice.
  182. -the makishima case is something kogami has come to live for. He doesnt want to regret dropping it
  183. -makishima changed kogamis initial goal as a detective
  184. -kogami says its an undeniable fact that akanes way of living is correct in the letter

  186. Episode 19
  187. -ginozas pp is in critical condition
  188. -ginoza prioritizes the case over his pp. he is given hope by akane
  189. -akane sees makishimas tendencies through kogamis, explaining that hes the type of guy who would never give up
  190. -makishima is close to an anarchist, but hes a little different from the original meaning of the word.
  191. -kogami can simulate how makishima would join in a conversation
  192. -the moment makishima realized he was idiosyncratic, thats when he changed
  193. -makishima felt alienated, and unrecognized as a human.
  194. -the differing brains of the chief can easily be seen through her reactions and subtle tendencies.
  195. -character heights are inconsistent
  196. -ginoza doesn't want to be left behind. Hes prideful
  197. -high intellectuals don't like the sibyl system
  198. -people don't eat the actual food, but food processed similarity from hyper oats, which makes up 99% of the food consumed in japan

  200. -if hyper oats got contaminated, japan would have to outsource for food, changing their attitude of refusing communications with other countries.
  201. -moreover, with a food shortage, the entire Japanese populations crime coefficient would rise.
  202. -with the border control becoming more relaxed, refugees would start inflowing, and measuring crime coefficients would become meaningless
  203. -kogami and makishima both have an intellectual partner whom they highly respect, kougamis being saiga and makishimas being that other guy

  205. Episode 20

  207. -the sibyl system is a collection of criminally jwjdbdjsnejs brains who collectively run the world.
  208. -the sibyl system values akane because she places its importance on its necessity rather than its justifiability.
  209. -ginoza is drained

  211. -akane believed that her friend could find happiness even though her scores bestowed her with bad jobs
  212. -by analyzing the corpse and stolen goods, kogami was able to conclude where makishima would hit

  214. Episode 21
  215. -akanes personality is so fucking different... In a badass way
  216. (Akane develops, while everyone else is being slowly unraveled.)
  217. -masaoka sees the fine line between enforcer and inspector, which is why ginoza questions if he doesnt believe in him.
  218. -when push came to shove, masaoka prioritized his sons life over catching makishima. Kogami made the opposite analysis when he saw ginoza grieving over masaoka almost near death

  220. Episode 22
  221. -akane wants to essentially be on even ground with makishima and kogami
  222. -akane trusts kogami to capture makishima
  223. -kogami is surprised at akanes development
  224. -the law doesnt protect people, people protect the law
  225. -makishima realizes that akane is criminally andknsid and doesnt kill her when hes given the chance
  226. -kougami chooses to kill makishima
  227. -the thought of someone lilling makishima ofher than kougami never crossed his mind
  228. -makishima cries
  229. -makishima asks if kougami can find a replacement for him... Kogamj hopes not
  230. -akane cries because kogami finally became a killer
  231. -even though akane failed, the ss still values her
  232. -creating a society where everyone knows what the ss is and accepts it would achieve stability and prosperity of the future human society. They believe akane can help people to do that
  233. -ginoza didn't like how his face looked, so he hid it with glasses and long hair
  234. -mika is put in a similar camera angle and situation as akane in the beginning
  235. -Everything regarding the dominators, inspectors, and even akane is fucking intimidating to mika
