Dark Souls Any% - Pyromagus - Updated!

Dark Souls Sorcery and Pyromancy Any% 'Speedyrun'

This is an Any% route using Sorcery and Pyromancy. It's not as fast as the pure Sorcery runs that I do, but it is still relatively fast. It starts with Sorcery, and switches to Pyromancy after Quelaag, but still uses a bit of Sorcery in the middle, and does kill Gwyn partly with Sorcery as well. Sorceries used: Great Soul Arrow, Homing Soulmass. Pyromancies used: Great Chaos Fireball, Great Fireball, Great Combustion.

Updated on 11/8/2017 to use more Pyromancy and less Sorcery because I found out that Pyromancy works better than I thought it would!

Start Sorcerer, Master Key

Pick up everything in Asylum, Demon with Dagger Plunging and 7 Soul Arrows, don't quitout at the door, you want the Humanity
Bombs and Bones from Firelink, use a Bone on pickup.
Valley start, pick up all souls (including the New Londo Ruins soul), RTSR, Grass Crest Shield (GCS)
Pop the Humanity from the Asylum Demon
Kill up to 3 Demon Trees using 2 Firebombs each looking for Purple/Blooming Purple Moss, but keep going if it doesn't drop

Rest at Parish Bonfire and level Str to 10 for GCS and equip it
Sen's Gate Skip and pick up the lobby soul, rescue Logan and get the soul in the cage, Homeward Bone

Take the Elevator to Firelink Shrine, pop souls on elevator
Buy Great Soul Arrow from Logan, then rest at the Firelink Bonfire, attune Great Soul Arrow, and level Int as much as possible
Set up RTSR on the way to Quelaag using falls/poison, stop poison if Purple Moss dropped, otherwise enter the fight before RTSR
Kill Quelaag with Great Soul Arrow
Ring the Bell, heal and drop down the hole in the floor

Run to Demon Ruins and get infected by the egg parasite
Open the secret wall back in Quelaag's Domain and talk to Eingyi - Do not rest at the Bonfire!!
Dupe Quelaag's Soul until you get the Egghead (not joking!), you should end up with well over 300k, probably more like 400k
Talk to Eingyi and get the Pyromancy Flame
Upgrade the Pyromancy Flame to +15
Join the Covenant for Great Chaos Fireball
Use the Egg Vermifuge to cure the egghead
Run back to Blighttown and talk to Quelana
Buy Great Fireball, Great Combustion
Modify Flame to Ascended and fully upgrade
Homeward Bone
Attune Great Combustion

Go to Undead Burg, talk to the Undead Merchant and buy the Residence key
LUB Skip (balcony method) and rescue Griggs, Homeward Bone
If you have at least 40000 souls, buy Homing Soulmass from Logan
Buy the Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring (BDR) from Griggs then take the Elevator to the Parish
Dupe Soul of Quelaag 4 or 5 times on the Elevator
Equip the Bellowing Dragoncrest ring so you can 2 shot the first Gargoyle and 1 shot the second one
Equip the Pyro Flame
Kill Gargoyles with Great Combustion
Ring Bell and Homeward Bone

Take the Elevator again
Dupe Quelaag's Soul some more on the elevator and head for Sen's Fortress

Boulder Skip Quitout in Sen's
Set up RTSR with the crossbowman on the roof - 1 running hit, 1 normal
Kill Iron Golem using Great Combustion
Use up Soul of Quelaag and equip Core of an Iron Golem

Rest at Anor Londo Bonfire
Level Vit to 12, Attunement to 16, Int as much as possible with remaining souls (but not over 50) Endurance if any left over
Attune Great Chaos Fireball (2 slots), Great Fireball, Great Combustion (for possible use on the Silver Knight Archer)
Head to O&S bonfire and rest at it, re-attune Great Soul Arrow over Great Combustion
Set up RTSR using the Silver Knight at the bottom of the stairs
Jump the railing and kill O&S - 2 Great Chaos/Great Fireball for Ornstein, use Great Soul Arrow for Smough

Shoot Illusion of Gwynevere with Great Soul Arrow, run close to the couch, Homeward Bone
Warp to Firelink Shrine
If you didn't buy Homing Soulmass from Logan, do so now.
Jump down the hole and place the Lordvessel
Warp to Undead Parish

Buy Crest of Artorias from Andre or kill him with Great Chaos Fireball if you're short on souls
Open the Forest Door and rest at the bonfire
Setup RTSR and kill the Hydra with Great Chaos Fireball (should be 3 shots!)
Quitout and kill the Golden Golem (1 Shot with Great Chaos/Great Fireball)
Talk to Dusk, spam through her dialogue
Kill the lower 2 Crystal Golems and Summon Dusk
Dupe Core of an Iron Golem while waiting for Dusk to be summoned
Buy Hidden Body from Dusk and Homeward Bone


Level Int as high as possible (but not over 50), Attunement to 19
Attune Hidden Body to make your attuned spells: Great Chaos Fireball, Great Fireball, Great Combustion, Hidden Body
Warp to Anor Londo
Kill the Hollow on the steps and the archer hollow and the Pendant Golem with Great Chaos Fireball and Homeward Bone

Head for the DLC
Pick up Dusk's Equipment and then enter the DLC portal
(Optional) Take the Bonfire before Guardian
Equip Dusk Crown
Kill Sanctuary Guardian
Rest at the bonfire in Oolacile Sanctuary to refresh spells
Head for Artorias
Unlock the Shortcut Elevator
Setup RTSR using Dusk Crown Ring and the elevator
Kill Artorias
Enter Battle of Stoicism for the Purple Coward's Crystal and exit it.
Rest at the Oolacile Township bonfire and warp to Firelink Shrine
Jump down the hole and rest at the Lordvessel
Unattune Great Combustion and Hidden Body, Attune Homing Soulmass
Warp back to Oolacile Township
Purple Crystal Warp into the Kiln of the First Flame

Set up RTSR using the first Black Knight, one normal stab attack
Kill Gwyn using Homing Soulmass and Great Chaos Fireball - Cast Homing Soulmass once after entering the Fog Gate, Parry and cast it again, then switch to Great Chaos Fireball and the Pyro Flame and shoot him once more. He should die unless the first Homing Soulmass misses, in which case you might die or have to improvise!
