>This thought plays over and over again in his mind

>He picks up his pace as his gallops through the forest
>The moonlight plays tricks with his mind
>Throwing long shadows off of each tree
>Any one of the shadows could be it
>’Can’t stop, I know it’s there…’
>His hooves dig into the soft earth beneath him
>The dark shadows hide many dangers in the forest
>One of them being the roots of trees
>The Pegasus trips over a root and crashes to the ground
>He curses his luck as he tries to pick himself up off of the ground
>How much easier it would be if he could fly
>The thought of his broken wing sends shivers down his spine
>This thing was smart
>He looks at the surrounding area
>There is nothing there
>’Maybe it gave up…’
>’No I know too much, it’s just playing games…’
>’Now’s my chance, maybe I can get a message out…’
>”Call Writer’s Block.”
“Connecting…”
>The ear piece in his ear rings
>’Come on… pick up…’
“Hello?”
>”Writer! It’s me Specs!”
“Oh, hey whats up?
>”Quit the small talk, I found something big!”
“Really? What is it this time? Let me guess, Big Hooves?”
>”No, just listen…”
>The line fills with static
>’No, not now’
“Specs you there? I can barely hear you?”
>”I have no time! Go to my house, all of my notes are there!”
“What was that? What about your house?”
>”Go there everything is there!”
“Specs call me back when you get a better signal.”
>Click, the line goes silent
>It’s close
>All he can do is run
>He turns to flee
>He screams echo through the forest before abruptly cutting off
>The shadows melt away back into the forest
>Their secrets are safe
