  1. [16:40:45] <[Multi]_Theo> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  2. [16:46:56] <[Multi]_Theo> [[A few days have gone by since Zirren ohad her adventure with the wargs. The days have been growing steadily cooler, and the leaves on most of the trees have started to turn. The days grow shorter, the nights grow longer; Adeline is increasingly mobile, being able to get from her room to the commons without much assistance, though she's still not able to attempt any serious physical exhertion. Today, as it nears noon, River is
  3. [16:46:56] <[Multi]_Theo> seated in the commons, along with Achel and Aeline, when Isabella walks in the door. Seeing the Islander princess, Isabella makes a formal bow to her and speaks:]]
  4. [16:47:52] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Your highness, before I begin my days work here in the commons, would it happen that there be anything I can help you with in your own chambers? I don't beleive that the courtesy has yet been extended to you.
  5. [16:48:23] <[Co]_River> I need a rope.
  6. [16:49:07] <[Co]_River> But otherwise, my room is in reasonable order.
  7. [16:49:42] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I'm sure that the accomodation can be made. Are you sure? My services are at your disposal.
  8. [16:50:53] <[Co]_River> You may go and see what you can do, if you're so curious.
  9. [16:52:51] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I apologize, I didn't mean to make an imposition. But professionally, I would be curious to see if I could make your stay here more comfortable, with your permission.
  10. [16:52:53] * [Co]_River turns to Adeline
  11. [16:53:04] * [Co]_River waves Isabella off
  12. [16:53:19] <[Co]_River> Now, Adeline, is there anywhere you want to go?
  13. [16:54:18] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Not really, no
  14. [16:54:40] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella makes another bow, walks to River's door, and opens it, leaving it barely unlatched behind her. ]]
  15. [16:55:31] <[Multi]_Theo> !roll 4#d6
  16. [16:55:32] <Koakuma[g]> [Multi]_Theo rolled 4#d6 : 3, 5, 4, 2, [0] 04Total: 14
  17. [16:56:03] <[Co]_River> Indeed? Then what is your decision on Hauterres?
  18. [16:56:12] <[Naz]_Zirren> *The door to the rest of the palace opens, and Zirren enters the commons, her lunch supported with both hands. The guard closes the door behind her as she walks forward."
  19. [16:57:22] * [Naz]_Zirren sits at the end of the table furthest from Adeline and River and begins eating.
  20. [16:57:42] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella looks River's room over throroughly, checking behind and under the furniture, as well as looking around the books in the bookshelf. She's impressed; the room is fairly well kept.]]
  21. [16:58:10] <[Multi]_Theo> !roll 4#d6
  22. [16:58:12] <Koakuma[g]> [Multi]_Theo rolled 4#d6 : 3, 6, 3, 4, [0] 04Total: 16
  23. [16:58:27] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I don't know, I haven't decided yet
  24. [16:58:43] * [grant]_Achel takes a sip from her usual cup listening in on the conversation.
  25. [16:59:02] <[Co]_River> What do you think, Achel? What should Adeline do about Hauterres, and is there anywhere you'd like to go as well?
  26. [16:59:49] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella takes out a dustrag and shines up what dust there is. When she's through, the room isn't noticably less cluttered, but it does have more of a spakling clean feeling.]]
  27. [17:01:54] <[grant]_Achel> Adeline can do what she wants, if she wants to take control of that country again then I wouldn't have any issues helping if she asked. If she wants live a uncomplicated life then thats fine too.
  28. [17:03:44] <[grant]_Achel> As for me, it's less to do with location.
  29. [17:04:20] <[Co]_River> Hmm, convenient convenient.
  30. [17:07:27] <[Co]_River> Now, Adeline. Some advice to you, regardless of how you decide on your future, you should at least see the land you would rule over.
  31. [17:08:39] <[Co]_River> Although, if what Eld says is true, there isn't much to "rule".
  32. [17:09:06] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Isn't that what Theo sent scouts out for?
  33. [17:09:50] <[Co]_River> Maybe the land will react to your presence. I've heard of magics that do that.
  34. [17:11:05] <[Co]_River> So what do you say? Do you want to go?
  35. [17:11:33] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Did you want to go see it or something?
  36. [17:12:22] <[Co]_River> Well of course, the alternative is staring at these walls.
  37. [17:12:43] <[Co]_River> Remember that time we went on a trip in the countryside? We should do that again.
  38. [17:13:47] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella emerges from River's room into the commons again. As Zirren is here this time, Isabella makes a bow and speaks to her:]]
  39. [17:14:43] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Your highness, pardon the tardy offer, but I would volunteer my services if you would so desire them in your chambers. If there's any way I can help make you more comfortable, then I would gladly do so.
  40. [17:15:53] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Do you really think Theo would let us take such a long trip?
  41. [17:16:04] <[Co]_River> Sure, why not?
  42. [17:16:22] <[Mirr]_Adeline> It's not like this place is next door, and who knows what's out there
  43. [17:16:40] <[Mirr]_Adeline> That...that /thing/ was convinced it wasn't a safe place
  44. [17:16:42] * [Naz]_Zirren faces Isabella and swallows the food in her mouth before putting on a smile. "I appreciate the offer, but I tend to keep my room orderly enough on my own."
  45. [17:17:48] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I apologize, I meant to make no implication. Professionally, it behooves me to extend the courtesy. Please, if you ever desire my services, they are at your disposal.
  46. [17:18:03] <[Co]_River> But that's just it, who knows what's there? And who better to discover what's there than the heiress herself. I'm sure it'll be safe enough, we'll have Achel.
  47. [17:20:19] <[Mirr]_Adeline> And what if it's more than we can handle?
  48. [17:20:19] <[Naz]_Zirren> No need to apologize. I appreciate the offer though, really. If I need something, I'll be sure to ask you.
  49. [17:21:05] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella bows again, and begins to wipe down an unoccupied table, occasionally casting a wayward glace at Achel or Zirren.]]
  50. [17:23:15] <[Co]_River> We'll bring some help then.
  51. [17:23:17] * [grant]_Achel glances over at Isabella, she doesn't really show any hints to if she is thinking anything.
  52. [17:23:23] * [Naz]_Zirren eyes Isabella as discreetly as she can as she moves around the commons.
  53. [17:23:55] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Shouldn't we just wait until the scouts return?
  54. [17:28:04] <[Co]_River> I know a thing or two about being an administrator, Adeline, because I am one, and a piece of advice I have for you is to be there with your people so that they can see you are involved.
  55. [17:28:59] <[Co]_River> Of course, the scouts may not be /your/ people, but if you choose to take up the mantle of administration and be part of this coalition, they will basically be your people.
  56. [17:29:45] <[Co]_River> It would be unbecoming for the fresh princess of Hauterres to be utterly unknown to everyone, therefore, you should go.
  57. [17:32:48] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I'd rather not just run off into the unknown, especially if you're coming with me
  58. [17:35:14] <[Naz]_Zirren> Any good ruler is willing to make sacrifices for the sake of her kingdom. Besides, if you aren't willing to take risks, you'll never get ahead in life, ruler or otherwise.
  59. [17:38:58] <[Co]_River> Indeed, and what do you mean if /I'm/ going with you. Are you suggesting I'll be a hinderance?
  60. [17:38:58] <[Mirr]_Adeline> The last time I took a risk I was almost killed by you and the guards
  61. [17:39:34] <[Mirr]_Adeline> No, I'm suggesting that it could be dangerous
  62. [17:40:03] <[Naz]_Zirren> That was Eld. Incidentally I'd advise you against letting her out again. I really don't think she can operate in our world very well.
  63. [17:43:49] * [Mirr]_Adeline falls silent with an audible huff
  64. [17:44:43] <[Co]_River> Then it is settled, we will petition Theo for an expedition.
  65. [17:47:16] <[Naz]_Zirren> Try to get Shizuka to go with you. It'd be good for her to get out of bed. I don't think I've seen her up and about for weeks, in fact.
  66. [17:51:15] * [Co]_River stands and heads for Theo's office
  67. [17:52:07] * [Naz]_Zirren finishes her lunch, wiping her mouth with a napkin, and calls Isabella over.
  68. [17:52:15] <[grant]_Achel> I suppose it will be nice to get out of the castle if things work out her way.
  69. [17:52:54] <[Naz]_Zirren> *Zirren's face twitches in a small, sour smile, though she keeps her thoughts to herself.*
  70. [17:53:11] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella tucks her rag away and reports dutifully to Zirren's side, bowing: "Yes? Is there something I can do?"]]
  71. [17:53:46] <[Naz]_Zirren> "If you would like to do something for me, please return these dishes to the kitchen for me."
  72. [17:54:21] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I will see that it is done.
  73. [17:54:54] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella bows, takes Zirren's dishes away, and leaves the commons.]]
  74. [17:56:51] <[Naz]_Zirren> Thank you, Isabella.
  75. [17:59:59] * [Mirr]_Adeline remains seated with her arms folded over her chest and a most unpleasant look on her face
  76. [18:00:19] * [Co]_River knocks on Theo's door
  77. [18:01:13] <[Multi]_Theo> Yes?
  78. [18:01:28] * [Naz]_Zirren looks toward Adeline, turning her sour grin into a playful one. "Come on, girl, this is your big opportunity to reclaim what's yours. Whatever you find there, it's sure to help you in your quests."
  79. [18:01:37] <[Co]_River> It's me, and I have an exceptional proposition.
  80. [18:02:36] <[grant]_Achel> If you do get to be the princess of a country you won't have to listen to those two anymore.
  81. [18:02:48] <[Multi]_Theo> Exceptional? Let's hear it. Please, come in.
  82. [18:03:29] * [Co]_River enters Theo's office
  83. [18:04:15] <[Naz]_Zirren> I'm sure Theo would like to have a powerful new ally, as well. He might even be willing to transplant some of his charges into your country to get it started.
  84. [18:07:57] <[Mirr]_Adeline> And then what? I'm just going to rule a country? This is crazy! How can none of you be worried by what that thing was saying?! I don't kno- agh...nevermind *puts a hand over her stomach and settles back into her seat, clearly in pain*
  85. [18:09:11] <[grant]_Achel> Are you alright?
  86. [18:09:33] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I'm fine
  87. [18:10:17] <[Co]_River> What do you think of Eld's ideas of resurrecting Hauterres under Adeline?
  88. [18:11:01] <[grant]_Achel> If you say it that quickly then you're just dimissing the problem.
  89. [18:11:26] <[Naz]_Zirren> As much as I'm glad that you're starting to view the demon inside of you as what it is, its plan of resurrecting your country is a sound one.
  90. [18:11:53] <[Multi]_Theo> Oh. It's a complicated matter, and there's still much to consider before I'll feel like we can arrive at any reasonable conclusion.
  91. [18:13:28] * [Mirr]_Adeline ignores both comments directed at her and resumes her silent fuming
  92. [18:15:23] <[Co]_River> Adeline currently is treating the matter like it is another lifetime away. I would like to impress upon her the potential urgency that these matters usually entail. To that end, I'd like to go with her and Achel and whatever expeditionary group deemed appropriate to visit the lands in question. It may also help to speed up her decision on whether or not to adopt the role of administrator for Hauterres.
  93. [18:16:08] * [grant]_Achel goes to grab Adeline's hand to see if she can tell anything from just that.
  94. [18:17:05] <[Multi]_Theo> HAve you spoken to her about this?
  95. [18:17:18] <[Co]_River> Yes.
  96. [18:17:55] <[Naz]_Zirren> The decision is yours, but I would urge you to consider it seriously. Being a ruler may also help you to understand and control what's inside of you as well, after all.
  97. [18:18:19] <[Mirr]_Adeline> What are you doing? Let go *pulls her hand away from Achel*
  98. [18:18:29] <[Multi]_Theo> And what has she said?
  99. [18:18:33] * [Naz]_Zirren looks on in amusement.
  100. [18:19:24] * [Mirr]_Adeline gives Achel a sour look
  101. [18:20:00] <[grant]_Achel> Sorry, I was just making sure. If you say you're fine then I'll believe you.
  102. [18:20:31] <[Co]_River> That she wants to close her eyes and hope the world moves on without her having to commit to a decision, paraphrased, of course.
  103. [18:20:57] <[Mirr]_Adeline> And why are you so sure this is a good thing? I thought for sure you'd never do anything a "demon" wanted
  104. [18:21:33] * [Multi]_Theo nods.
  105. [18:21:38] <[Multi]_Theo> Yes, that sounds like her.
  106. [18:23:09] <[Multi]_Theo> I agree, she can have a hard time seeing past what's right in front of her. I can tell she's not thrilled with the idea of ruling a country, and I doubt that ultimately she would accept the position, but I want to speak with her myself and see what she has to say.
  107. [18:23:13] <[Naz]_Zirren> If a kingdom was waiting for me to claim it, I would do everything in my power to do so. It would only be incidental if a demon agrees. I'd just be careful to control the demon inside of me.
  108. [18:23:34] <[Multi]_Theo> And there's the matter of her sisters, as well. They could either complicate or simplify things, depending on just how things work out.
  109. [18:24:51] <[Mirr]_Adeline> And what if it's all a trick? What if this is exactly what it wants?
  110. [18:24:52] <[Multi]_Theo> We've been making good progress on penetrating the mountain ring, proceeding cautiously, so at the mmoment there's not much to see, but I think that your suggestion might be a good one in the near future.
  111. [18:25:48] <[Co]_River> Excellent. If you're available now, I can help her over.
  112. [18:26:33] <[Naz]_Zirren> Then I'd do everything in my power to make sure it doesn't have its way. The stakes are too high to just ignore it, though.
  113. [18:26:58] <[Multi]_Theo> I was hoping to visit her in her quarters, actually. Is she there? I suppose now's as good a time as any.
  114. [18:27:47] <[Co]_River> She's in the commons right now, with Achel. Zirren may still be present.
  115. [18:29:06] <[Multi]_Theo> Then I'll be along once Adeline retires to her room.
  116. [18:30:39] <[Co]_River> I'll send word when she returns, though I don't think she'll take much coaxing due to the company present.
  117. [18:31:29] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Of course you'd say that, you're already bent on taking back some patch of sand from some poor people who probably don't even know who you are!
  118. [18:31:31] * [Co]_River turns and heads back to the commons
  119. [18:34:29] * [Naz]_Zirren 's smile falters slightly, but she retains her composure. "Adeline, you don't know the whole story. I understand that you don't trust in what I and my country do, but our situations are totally different. You'd be taking a country, yes, but you have no one to harm in doing so. The only person who loses out is you."
  120. [18:34:50] <[Naz]_Zirren> And that's only if you do not act.
  121. [18:35:16] <[Mirr]_Adeline> How are you so sure about that?
  122. [18:37:06] <[Co]_River> Adeline, Theo wants to see you in your room.
  123. [18:37:20] <[Naz]_Zirren> Truthfully? I'm not. I only heard about your country as a magically smoking crater populated with naught but horrors, but you do seem to fit into Eld's story, and--
  124. [18:37:31] * [Co]_River circles over to Adeline to help her up
  125. [18:37:50] <[Naz]_Zirren> Right, well think on what we've said. I suppose you should not keep the Master of Nations waiting.
  126. [18:39:43] * [Mirr]_Adeline slowly pushes herself out of her seat, glaring at Zirren as she leaves
  127. [18:40:06] * [Naz]_Zirren returns the glare with a sympathetic smile.
  128. [18:40:16] <[Co]_River> Achel, go inform Theo that Adeline is ready to speak.
  129. [18:48:55] * [grant]_Achel stands up and leaves her cup behind on the table, she proceeds to the office.
  130. [18:50:24] * [grant]_Achel knocks on the door to Theo's office.
  131. [18:51:19] <[Multi]_Theo> Yes?
  132. [18:52:12] <[grant]_Achel> I'm just here to deliver a message. It seems that Adeline is waiting for you in her room.
  133. [18:52:40] <[Multi]_Theo> Is she? Very well; the message is received. I'll be with her shortly. Thank you.
  134. [18:53:49] <[grant]_Achel> Do you have anything for me? If not then I will be off.
  135. [18:54:19] <[Multi]_Theo> Nothing offhand. Are you looking for something to do?
  136. [18:55:59] <[grant]_Achel> No. If there isn't anything imporant then I can manage on my own.
  137. [18:56:12] <[Multi]_Theo> Then you are dismissed.
  138. [18:56:48] * [grant]_Achel returns back to the commons
  139. [19:00:36] * [Multi]_Theo walks through the commons focused on getting to Adeline's door, which he opens and enters. After he closes the door behind him but before he takes a seat, he asks Adeline, "Adleine, I've been meaning to talk to you. Is now a good time?"
  140. [19:04:37] * [Mirr]_Adeline responds without even looking up from the edge of her bed "It's fine"
  141. [19:06:20] * [Multi]_Theo takes pulls a chair over to face the side of Adeline's bed; he sits in it. He clasps his hands together and puts his elbows on his knees, resting his head on his clasped hands.
  142. [19:06:29] <[Multi]_Theo> Adeline...
  143. [19:06:32] <[Multi]_Theo> I'm sorry.
  144. [19:06:40] <[Mirr]_Adeline> For what?
  145. [19:07:08] <[Multi]_Theo> I gave your body away to someone else for three days without your permission.
  146. [19:08:03] <[Multi]_Theo> I didn't know what she would or could do if I refused her, and I didn't want to miss whatever opportunity there might have been to learn about her and see what she thought she should accomplish.
  147. [19:08:45] <[Multi]_Theo> When you got your body back, I could see that you were hurt by more than just your physical wounds, and I'm sorry that I had a part in it.
  148. [19:10:43] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Why did you do it?
  149. [19:11:28] <[Multi]_Theo> I didn't know what other options I had.
  150. [19:11:57] <[Multi]_Theo> I didn't know what powers she had, I didn't know what her motivations were, I didn't know anything about her, and I was afraid that, if I refused her, she would do something irreversible.
  151. [19:12:49] <[Multi]_Theo> She seemed convinced she could change the Princess's minds, and I wanted to see what sort of tick she would have so much confidence in.
  152. [19:13:32] <[Multi]_Theo> Naturally, it turned out to be a spectators overconfidence, that they could do better than what they've seen, never having tried it before...
  153. [19:15:36] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Do you think she did anything at all? Do you think you can trust he-...it?
  154. [19:18:25] <[Multi]_Theo> That she did things is undeniable, or you wouldn't be in the state you are now. Now that I have met her, I feel that Eld is predictable, so I can trust her reactions to things. I wouldn't entrust her with any state secrets or the like, of course.
  155. [19:22:11] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella slips back into the commons to continue her cleaning.]]
  156. [19:23:29] * [Mirr]_Adeline seems at a loss for words for a moment
  157. [19:26:49] <[Mirr]_Adeline> It just seemed like you agreed so quickly
  158. [19:26:58] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Like it didn't matter what I thought about it
  159. [19:27:42] <[Multi]_Theo> I don't know that taking time to make a dicision would have had any effect. And I must repeat, I was afraid of what powers she might have.
  160. [19:28:36] <[Multi]_Theo> She had asked for some time, and I was worried enough about the possible results should I refuse that I let her have it.
  161. [19:28:44] <[Multi]_Theo> I didn't know how much it would hurt you.
  162. [19:31:26] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I thought I was going to die because of that thing
  163. [19:32:19] <[Multi]_Theo> In the fight with Zirren?
  164. [19:33:09] <[Mirr]_Adeline> She wouldn't back down
  165. [19:33:17] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Either of them
  166. [19:34:37] <[Mirr]_Adeline> And then the guard showed up and I thought I was going to die because some stupid thing was too stubborn to get away...or just didn't care
  167. [19:35:32] <[Multi]_Theo> I got the impression that she was simply unprepared to have to interact with humans.
  168. [19:35:41] <[Multi]_Theo> You think she was stubborn?
  169. [19:39:14] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Would /you/ have stood in front of that madwoman that long?
  170. [19:39:35] <[Multi]_Theo> I can't rightly say.
  171. [19:39:58] <[Multi]_Theo> I ask because there's a difference between being stubborn, being fearless, and being too stupid to realize when you ought to be afraid.
  172. [19:40:22] <[Multi]_Theo> And I would have guessed that Eld falls into one of categories two or three.
  173. [19:42:58] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I don't know if I want to deal with her ever again
  174. [19:43:53] <[Multi]_Theo> Well, that much is your decision, and yours alone. And I will respect whatever decision you make on the matter.
  175. [19:44:55] <[Multi]_Theo> ...But it's not the only decision that's fallen on your plate. You doubtless know that River is pushing for you to make a decision about what you want to do with Hauterres.
  176. [19:47:23] <[Mirr]_Adeline> What am I even supposed to do with that place? How am I supposed to-...it's a whole country, I'm hardly even in control of my own body!
  177. [19:48:14] <[Multi]_Theo> You still have some time before we make it through the mountains and begin to uncover the remains of the country proper.
  178. [19:48:36] <[Multi]_Theo> In the meantime, thogh, there is one thing I want to ask you about: what do you want to do about your sisters?
  179. [19:49:36] * [Mirr]_Adeline looks a bit pale at the mention of her sisters
  180. [19:52:56] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I'm...they deserve to know if they don't already
  181. [19:53:21] <[Multi]_Theo> Know about Hauterres and their relation to it?
  182. [19:59:04] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Yes, but shouldn't they already know? Weren't they born there?
  183. [20:00:59] <[Multi]_Theo> I would guess they'd have a firmer memory of it than you; you're the youngest of your brood, aren't you?
  184. [20:02:40] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Yes, as far as I know
  185. [20:03:21] <[Multi]_Theo> Would you like to talk to them yourself?
  186. [20:05:35] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I don't know if that would end well...
  187. [20:06:30] <[Multi]_Theo> The alternative is having Coalition agents talk to them. Would you prefer that you not be involved in the process?
  188. [20:12:12] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I'm a little afraid of seeing them again
  189. [20:12:39] <[Multi]_Theo> Why? Did you part on bad terms?
  190. [20:17:13] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I didn't exactly tell them much when I left. Oyashima has some strict policies when it comes to their laws on demons, and with all those frequent visits they made after my parents deaths I'm sure they suspected something of me
  191. [20:18:31] * [Multi]_Theo puts hist hands in his lap and stares at them for a second before proceeding.
  192. [20:18:37] <[Multi]_Theo> Well, here is the situation.
  193. [20:19:23] <[Multi]_Theo> We have located your sisters in Oyashima, but have not approached them yet. I would like to take them into Coalition custody, and the question is whether or not you want to be the one to explain the situation to them.
  194. [20:21:22] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I probably should be the one to talk to them if you're going to drag them all the way out here
  195. [20:21:44] * [Multi]_Theo nods.
  196. [20:22:29] <[Multi]_Theo> Then I shall make the preparations. Would you like to meet them in Oyashima and accompany them on the trip back, or would you like for them to wait until they get here to explain things to them?
  197. [20:23:59] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I don't think I'm in the best shape for a long trip
  198. [20:24:31] <[Multi]_Theo> Very true.
  199. [20:25:23] <[Multi]_Theo> I think that was the one business item I had for you.
  200. [20:26:11] <[Multi]_Theo> And, I know it's perhaps somewhat hypocritical of me, seeing as your present injuries could well be attributed to my thoughtless decision, but...
  201. [20:26:23] <[Multi]_Theo> I'm glad you're alright, and I hope you get better soon.
  202. [20:29:24] <[Mirr]_Adeline> So that's it? No more questions?
  203. [20:29:50] <[Multi]_Theo> Nothing of dire consequence.
  204. [20:29:51] <[Multi]_Theo> I've issued instructed instructions that you're to have a person detail while you convalesce; has it been adequate?
  205. [20:35:31] <[Mirr]_Adeline> It has been...strange to say the least
  206. [20:35:50] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Is all your hired help this unusual?
  207. [20:36:29] <[Multi]_Theo> Unusual? What do you mean?
  208. [20:40:18] <[Mirr]_Adeline> That maid Isabella, she wasn't at all alarmed when she learned what I was
  209. [20:40:52] <[Multi]_Theo> Really? You told her what you were?
  210. [20:42:31] <[Multi]_Theo> [[The maid being duscussed finishes what she was working on and sits next to Achel, conscious of Zirren's and River's presence.]]
  211. [20:43:06] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella whispers:]]
  212. [20:43:09] * [Mirr]_Adeline seems slightly bitter when she speaks "No, Achel did"
  213. [20:43:34] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Should we go somewhere else? I'm sorry, are you busy?
  214. [20:44:44] * [Multi]_Theo seems perplexed at this.
  215. [20:44:46] <[Multi]_Theo> Why do you think Achel would tell the person in your needs that you're possessed by a demon?
  216. [20:47:24] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I'm not sure, but when Isabella came in here she wanted to "help me recover"
  217. [20:48:07] * [Multi]_Theo attempts to stifle a smirk without much success.
  218. [20:48:42] <[Multi]_Theo> Well, I would hope she does, if she's looking after you while you recover, but to go that far is above and beyond the call of duty.
  219. [20:51:20] <[Mirr]_Adeline> What? Why are you smiling? It's not funny!
  220. [20:52:18] <[Multi]_Theo> I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you're right, that is "unusual." I can make sure that somebody else is assigned to you if you're uncomfortable with who you have now.
  221. [20:54:59] <[Mirr]_Adeline> No, it's fine, it's just a little different than what I expected from her, she seems so normal
  222. [20:55:22] <[Multi]_Theo> It may well be that she's "normal," and simply open-minded and wants to help.
  223. [20:55:54] <[Multi]_Theo> Even among those of us that can claim to be unfettered humans, there's a wide range of personalities.
  224. [21:03:03] <[Mirr]_Adeline> This place really has crushed every expectation I've had of it
  225. [21:03:32] <[Multi]_Theo> I'm not sure if I should be proud of that or not.
  226. [21:03:46] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I think you should
  227. [21:04:52] <[Multi]_Theo> I hope it's been an overall positive experience.
  228. [21:07:38] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Aside from a few minor bumps and being...impaled...nevermind, I should get back to work
  229. [21:09:15] <[Multi]_Theo> Don't push yourself. It'll be easier than ever to hurt yourself again in this condition.
  230. [21:09:49] <[Multi]_Theo> Before I go, is there anything else that you'd like to mention? Any need of yours that is as of yet unmet?
  231. [21:10:26] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Nothing really comes to mind. I guess not really needing to eat is a plus
  232. [21:11:18] <[Multi]_Theo> Oh, you don't? I didn't know that. I suppose I'll forgo my dinner invitation, then.
  233. [21:12:52] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Theo, have you ever actually seen me eat anything?
  234. [21:13:23] <[Multi]_Theo> I just assumed you ate when I wasn't looking.
  235. [21:17:29] * [Mirr]_Adeline shakes her head and leans back, she looks substantially more relaxed than when Theo entered the room
  236. [21:17:44] <[Multi]_Theo> That's unfortunate; I really was hoping I'd get to share a treat with you. I suppose I'll just have them all to myself now.
  237. [21:19:05] <[Multi]_Theo> Thank you for talking with me. As always, make it known if you need something.
  238. [21:19:38] * [Multi]_Theo leaves Adeline's room, closing the door behind him with an audible click. He turns, exits the commons, and enters his office once again.
  239. [21:23:38] * [Mirr]_Adeline sighs and walks back into the commons to take a seat
  240. [21:25:50] <[Naz]_Zirren> What did you decide?
  241. [21:27:54] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Nothing at all
  242. [21:28:56] <[Naz]_Zirren> Nothing? What were you talking about?
  243. [21:29:20] * [grant]_Achel whispers back to Isabella.
  244. [21:30:19] <[Mirr]_Adeline> It's personal
  245. [21:30:43] <[grant]_Achel> Was there something important that you needed from me?
  246. [21:30:56] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: No, not really, I just wanted to visit.
  247. [21:35:10] <[Naz]_Zirren> I... see.
  248. [21:37:09] <[Mirr]_Adeline> But I think we've decided to wait until the scouts produce a report to go charging into an unknown land
  249. [21:37:47] <[Naz]_Zirren> "You know, if you need..." Zirren trails off, second-guessing herself. "Well if that's your decision... I still agree with River, though."
  250. [21:39:18] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: But it looks like you're on guty right now. I guess I shouldn't steal you away from your work.
  251. [21:42:28] <[Mirr]_Adeline> If I need what? For you to nearly get me killed again?
  252. [21:44:16] <[grant]_Achel> It probalby wouldn't hurt, Adeline doesn't want my help. * She stands up and mentions. * I'll be finishing up my stone work soon. * She leaves the commons to go outside. *
  253. [21:44:46] * [Naz]_Zirren frowns. "I'm not going to ask you to forgive me for that. I will admit that I made a mistake. At first I thought you were possessed, this demon simply wearing your skin, and so I treated you accordingly. Now I realize that you're actually just an unfortunate girl with an unwelcome guest."
  254. [21:45:30] <[Naz]_Zirren> I was going to offer you my guidance - offer to help you - but I didn't think that would be appropriate after what I did.
  255. [21:46:17] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella casts a second glance and Zirren and Adeline before she leaves the room.]]
  256. [21:47:08] <[grant]_Achel> !roll 4#d6
  257. [21:47:09] <Koakuma[g]> [grant]_Achel rolled 4#d6 : 4, 6, 2, 6, [0] 04Total: 18
  258. [21:49:53] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Achel is in form today. The stone seems forgiving, and her mind's vision is transferred easily to the rock.]]
  259. [21:53:32] * [Mirr]_Adeline folds her arms over her chest and stares at Zirren, it's not a very intimidating display for her size
  260. [21:55:09] * [grant]_Achel has been working on and off during her freetime mostly. It seems to be almost done since the last time Isabella had seen it, the fine details in the wings and clothing are now visible. It is a statue of a melencoly looking woman with snakes for hair and is being embraced by roots on the lower half of her body.
  261. [21:55:17] * [Naz]_Zirren resists the urge to smile at Adeline's... performance, instead meeting her gaze with a steely expression. After a moment, she says, "Do you believe the demon is not malicious?"
  262. [22:00:39] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I don't know if it is or isn't, but right now I don't trust you or it. It's because of both of you that I'm like this right now
  263. [22:02:08] <[Naz]_Zirren> I understand. I don't expect you to trust me anymore than I expect you to forgive me.
  264. [22:04:07] <[Naz]_Zirren> Just remember that if you become the ruler of Hauterres, you'll never have to deal with me or your demon trying to kill you again. You
  265. [22:04:19] <[Naz]_Zirren> You'll have the resources to protect yourself.
  266. [22:08:04] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Why are you pushing for this so hard? Why do you care?
  267. [22:12:23] * [Naz]_Zirren looks around the room to confirm that there are no prying ears, then, getting closer to Adeline, says in a whisper, "Because if you can control Hauterres, you'll be the only one who can reign in Theo. I understand what it must look like, me trying to throw Sarahaa's entrance into the coalition in his face, and of course we are not happy about it, but if this continues on, if he gets his way...
  268. [22:12:26] * [Naz]_Zirren ...and unites the continent, he will have unparalleled power, and we will all be subject to his whims. He will destroy us all, whether he intends to or not. No one can handle that much power!"
  269. [22:18:31] * [Mirr]_Adeline looks shocked for a long moment before she finally responds "What? He wouldn't do that! There's no way he would let something like that happen!"
  270. [22:21:11] * [Mirr]_Adeline looks perplexed in spite of her affirmations
  271. [22:22:52] <[Naz]_Zirren> He can't control it! Once you have no one to answer to, no one to keep you in check, no one to rival you - once you're at the top of the world, it starts being hard to consider the common people "people" anymore. Morals suddenly cease to matter because no one is going to punish you for your actions. Haven't you heard the expression, "Absolute power corrupts absolutely
  272. [22:22:54] <[Naz]_Zirren> "?
  273. [22:24:21] <[Naz]_Zirren> Theo might not be evil... Under different circumstances, Sarahaa might have even cooperated with him, but who he was before he became supreme ruler does not matter, and you are the only one in a position to stop him.
  274. [22:24:53] <[Naz]_Zirren> [[who he is before he becomes*]]
  275. [22:25:41] <[Mirr]_Adeline> No, he's not that kind of man! Why would you say something like that?
  276. [22:26:42] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I've never seen Theo do anything cruel to anyone
  277. [22:31:12] * [Naz]_Zirren 's expression softens, seeming suddenly compassionate. She puts a comforting arm on Adeline's shoulder with a touch that is surprisingly soft as she says, "I know, honey, it's hard to believe, but that's the cold, hard truth of absolute power. He seems so cordial all the time, and maybe he is right now, but power will change him. It won't be instant, but once he has that power, it will...
  278. [22:31:14] * [Naz]_Zirren ...slowly corrupt him into a form that barely resembles who he is now."
  279. [22:37:03] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I...I don't believe you, he's a good person. If he wasn't then he wouldn't have helped me
  280. [22:42:37] <[Naz]_Zirren> If you want him to stay a good person, then you have to take up the mantle of ruler of Hauterres. If you do, then you will be able to rival him. Even if you choose peace with his coalition, you will have power to rival his, and this will serve as a means of keeping him honest.
  281. [22:48:44] * [Mirr]_Adeline knits her brows as she stares down at the floor
  282. [22:48:52] <[Mirr]_Adeline> ...Maybe you're right, it's not like you're asking me to go to war or anything. Just to keep things from getting out of hand, right?
  283. [22:51:49] * [Naz]_Zirren smiles, finally having gotten through to Adeline. "Yes, exactly. That's all. It's doubtful you will have to go to war with him at all if you can pull this off. I'm not asking you to go now, but you must visit Hauterres and find anything that can help you. Eld... The demon said you were the only one who could reclaim it, right?"
  284. [22:54:37] <[Mirr]_Adeline> My sisters...
  285. [22:56:25] <[Naz]_Zirren> I do not know your sisters, but I also do not think they have powers as extraordinary as yours.
  286. [22:58:53] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Do you think that it's just me, then? You really think I'm the only one who can do this?
  287. [23:00:26] <[Naz]_Zirren> Your circumstances are extraordinarily unique, and I'm not convinced that what happened to you is easily repeatable, even for whatever powers once commanded your nation.
  288. [23:07:38] * [Mirr]_Adeline speaks more to herself than the woman standing over her "I can do this. I have to do this." after a short pause she looks up at Zirren "I'll do it" her tone has a strength of finality to it but her expression is still fraught with concern
  289. [23:09:01] * [Naz]_Zirren 's smile brightens further and she pats Adeline on the back. "I'll be here to help you, and once you're in command, I'll see to it that Sarahaa supports you."
  290. [23:15:15] <[Mirr]_Adeline> How am I going to tell my sisters? What am I even going to say to them?
  291. [23:15:46] <[Naz]_Zirren> How well do you know them?
  292. [23:18:18] * [Co]_River emerges from her room with a blank scroll and an inkpot
  293. [23:19:01] <[Mirr]_Adeline> It's complicated
  294. [23:19:03] <[Multi]_Theo> [[After Achel has been working on her sculpture for maybe ten or fifteen minutes, she hears Isabella push aside some branches as she steps off the path and into Achel's workspace.]]
  295. [23:19:48] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I'm sorry it took me so long to catch up. Something came up on my way out, and I needed to take care of it before I came to meet you.
  296. [23:20:49] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I guess I'll figure it out when they get here
  297. [23:21:16] * [Naz]_Zirren stands back up to her full height as River enters the room. "I see. If you can, you should talk to them."
  298. [23:21:24] <[Naz]_Zirren> They're... coming here?
  299. [23:22:26] <[Mirr]_Adeline> It wouldn't really be easy for me to go see them like this
  300. [23:22:44] <[grant]_Achel> It's fine, I was finishing up anyway. * She taps away a few more times before coming to a stop. *
  301. [23:22:57] * [Co]_River unrolls the scroll on another table and splashes some ink onto it before poking her finger into the ink to write
  302. [23:24:04] <[grant]_Achel> So you were busy on the way, work related?
  303. [23:24:28] <[Co]_River> !roll 4#d6
  304. [23:24:29] <Koakuma[g]> [Co]_River rolled 4#d6 : 4, 3, 6, 6, [0] 04Total: 19
  305. [23:24:34] * [Naz]_Zirren looks stunned, her eyes wide with confusion. "I... When will they arrive?"
  306. [23:25:13] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Yes, I was dragged into cleaning up after someone who had spilled some drink all over his carpet. It wasn't too hard, but it did hold me up for a bit.
  307. [23:25:32] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I'm not sure, probably in a few days. Theo said he was already prepared to make contact with them
  308. [23:28:49] <[Naz]_Zirren> "I... see. He does indeed work fast. Well whatever help you need, you know where to find me. I believe I still owe you a favor from back when you beat me at archery." She winks at Adeline.
  309. [23:28:54] <[grant]_Achel> Well, we didn't really get to talk since I kind of interrupted you and Adeline. What do you think? * She poses a vague question *
  310. [23:29:10] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella walks closer to Achel, taking a look at the sculpture.]]
  311. [23:29:25] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Wow, it's really come along! I imagine she must almost be done.
  312. [23:29:37] * [Co]_River covers the inside of the scroll with a mazework of lines and lets it air dry
  313. [23:33:17] <[grant]_Achel> It is pretty close, I'm not sure what I'll do when I finish it. Although, I was asking more along the lines of Adeline.
  314. [23:33:55] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Oh, that. Don't worry, by the way, you didn't interrupt us, we were more or less finished by the time you knocked.
  315. [23:34:27] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: It was...tiring. I was really tired out at the end.
  316. [23:35:10] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: It was an intersting feeling. I felt really tired, and I was breathing heavily, but I didn't feel like I had bee exterting my muscels.
  317. [23:35:13] <[Mirr]_Adeline> Right, thanks. *gives Zirren a very noncommittal smile and stares down at the floor again*
  318. [23:36:49] <[grant]_Achel> Were you afraid like you thought you would be?
  319. [23:36:57] <[Naz]_Zirren> I know it's a daunting task, rebuilding a nation, but you'll have Sarahaa's - and my - support.
  320. [23:37:10] <[Naz]_Zirren> Get some rest, Adeline.
  321. [23:38:01] * [Mirr]_Adeline gives a few small nods but maintains her contemplative stare
  322. [23:38:11] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: No, it ended up not being very scary. She didn't even bite me! She just sat on my lap.
  323. [23:39:04] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I was a little embarassed taking offmy clothes, but in the end, we didn't even take our underwear off.
  324. [23:39:07] <[grant]_Achel> Hehe, that does sound like something that she would do.
  325. [23:40:44] <[Co]_River> Adeline, do you want anything as a souvenir?
  326. [23:45:05] <[grant]_Achel> It's good that you two get along though.
  327. [23:45:31] * [Mirr]_Adeline breaks from her concentrated stare
  328. [23:45:41] <[Mirr]_Adeline> A souvenir from where?
  329. [23:46:25] <[Co]_River> From me.
  330. [23:47:02] <[Mirr]_Adeline> What do you mean? You're always here, why would I need a souvenir from you?
  331. [23:47:36] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Well, she didn't get mad at me or anything, but I still haven't really interacted with her very much, not really. I look in on her sometimes, but doing...helping her like you suggested was the most personal thing we've done together.
  332. [23:47:52] <[Co]_River> Well you'll receive it from me, but it will come from far away.
  333. [23:48:02] <[Co]_River> I'm fairly certain we can fill any request.
  334. [23:48:27] <[Naz]_Zirren> That's surprisingly generous of you, River.
  335. [23:49:22] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I don't know, I can't really think of anything I want
  336. [23:49:29] <[Multi]_Theo> sabella: I thought I would be more nervous taking my clothes off around somebody else, and I was embarassed, like I said, but after I undressed her, I could see how badly she was hurt, and she has that child's body...she's not like you, so I wasn't as nervous as I could have been, or I thought I would be.
  337. [23:50:02] <[Co]_River> I'm sending this off and having something sent back, extra materiels would be of no consequence.
  338. [23:51:17] * [Mirr]_Adeline shrugs instead of giving an actual answer
  339. [23:52:52] <[grant]_Achel> That's a little rude, she has a womans body. As fun as it might be you shouldn't tease her too much about it. Although, you'd have to be pretty confident in yourself it you can do it easily.
  340. [23:53:57] <[grant]_Achel> (( if^ ))
  341. [23:54:51] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Oh, I know, I would never say this to her face, and I hope you won't tell her I said that. It's just, I wasn't as...[[Isabella begins to blush.]]...flustered as I thought I'd be after I saw her in just her bandages.
  342. [23:56:30] <[Co]_River> What about you, Zirren?
  343. [23:58:02] <[grant]_Achel> I'll keep it a secret, at least for now. I suppose if she had enough on her it would be just like badly placed clothes, just disheveled but not really naked.
  344. [23:58:17] <[Naz]_Zirren> Me? Hm. I'm not sure. I hear The Islands are famous for tea, how about some of that?
  345. [23:59:41] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: "At least for now?" Please, Achel, don't tell her what I'm saying! I don't want to mamake her upset.
  346. [00:02:11] <[Co]_River> I can probably requisite some.
  347. [00:02:21] * [Co]_River pokes the ink and causes some of the lines to writhe about
  348. [00:02:40] <[Co]_River> Now, Adeline, are you sure you have nothing you want? No material wants?
  349. [00:02:41] <[Naz]_Zirren> Thank you. Now, if you'll excuse me.
  350. [00:02:50] * [Naz]_Zirren retreats to her room and closes the door behind her.
  351. [00:03:05] <[grant]_Achel> I'm joking. I'm just letting you get a little flustered. I wouldn't tell on you even though what you're saying is true.
  352. [00:03:22] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I can't really think of anything
  353. [00:04:07] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Well...Thank you. And I'm sorry if I insulted your friend; I know you care about her.
  354. [00:04:27] <[Co]_River> How about... a new body?
  355. [00:06:08] <[grant]_Achel> No worries, you don't have to be so reserved around me. I know that everyone sees things differently but being open about things is always nice.
  356. [00:06:28] <[Co]_River> Well... it would be a different body, because it wouldn't be /new/, technically.
  357. [00:06:46] <[Mirr]_Adeline> What? How would that...no, no, I don't need anything like that!
  358. [00:07:29] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: That's true. It's one of the reasons I like being with you, Achel, I feel like I'm able to be very open and honest around you.
  359. [00:08:21] <[Co]_River> But wouldn't you like to see eye to eye with other people? Not mistaken for a child anymore?
  360. [00:10:47] <[Co]_River> Or perhaps have a particular figure.
  361. [00:10:49] * [Co]_River shrugs
  362. [00:12:58] <[grant]_Achel> Since Adeline got to show off her wounds, I told you that I would show you mine eventually. Care to see a few?
  363. [00:13:17] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella seems to freeze.]]
  364. [00:13:27] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Here? Is that alright?
  365. [00:13:39] <[Mirr]_Adeline> No, I'd rather not do anything like that. It just sounds wrong to do something like that to myself
  366. [00:13:58] <[grant]_Achel> Why not? Is there something wrong here?
  367. [00:14:24] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I suppose...if you think it's okay, there's not any problem.
  368. [00:15:45] <[Co]_River> It's wrong for the gods or whatever people believe in to afflict individuals with certain ailments. We have spare bodies for those who need them. I've evaluated that you may "need" a new one and offered, but if you insist.
  369. [00:18:46] * [grant]_Achel begins unbuttoning her white collared shirt. Her suprisingly light skin is unveiled from behind the cloth. There are a few marks that contrast the otherwise smooth surface, some look like straight scratches and cuts while others look like gashes and tears.
  370. [00:18:52] <[Mirr]_Adeline> I'd really rather not, but thank you, I guess
  371. [00:19:09] <[Co]_River> I'll get you a cup instead then.
  372. [00:19:21] * [Co]_River pokes the ink again, causing aditional writhing
  373. [00:20:41] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Oh, my... I didn't think you'd have so many... I bet you can't even remember how you got them all.
  374. [00:21:37] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella extends a hand to touch Achel's shoulder before quickly retracting it.]]
  375. [00:22:35] <[grant]_Achel> It's alright, I only really remember the ones that really hurt when I got them.
  376. [00:24:11] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella shakes her head in admiration.]]
  377. [00:24:31] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I guess this is just what a warrior's body looks like. You don't even bother remembering the ones that didn't hurt...
  378. [00:25:36] * [Co]_River rolls up the scroll and tucks it under an arm
  379. [00:26:08] <[grant]_Achel> Depending on the day you get used to the pain, they all hurt but the worse ones always stick out the most.
  380. [00:26:19] <[Co]_River> You are dismissed, Adeline. Get some rest before whatever visit you have planned, sounded rather important.
  381. [00:26:34] * [Co]_River pets Adeline's head as she walks past back to her room
  382. [00:26:57] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I imagine the ones that hurt the most also are also probably the result of a more memorable event.
  383. [00:28:47] * [Mirr]_Adeline takes a long slow breath and pushes herself out of her seat to return to her own room
  384. [00:29:57] <[grant]_Achel> Honestly they are all dumb, simple mistakes that weren't enough to kill me. The only good part is remembering who's side I fought by that day. But they look a little cool right?
  385. [00:30:53] * [Naz]_Zirren sighs, mumbling to herself, "River's rubbing off on me..."
  386. [00:30:57] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella blushes again.]]
  387. [00:31:04] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Yeah, I think they do.
  388. [00:31:34] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I don't mean to be...forward, but...is it okay if I touch them?
  389. [00:31:45] * [Naz]_Zirren checks beneath her mattress to ensure the axe is still there.
  390. [00:32:54] <[Multi]_Theo> [[It is where she left it.]]
  391. [00:33:02] * [Naz]_Zirren feels its form beneath the soft down, and, satisfied, lays down on her bed. Staring up at the ceiling, she begins to think and plan.
  392. [00:33:52] <[grant]_Achel> By all means. * She turns around and reveals the most prominent scar of them all. It's not as cleanly healed like all the other ones and runs down a decent length of back. *
  393. [00:34:52] * [grant]_Achel undoes her bra as she faces away from Isabella so that she can get an unobstructed view.
  394. [00:35:34] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella blushes brightly. She reaches out her hand, and slowly and gently traces the length of the scar with her index and middle fingers.]]
  395. [00:35:48] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I'm guessing you remember where this one came from.
  396. [00:39:10] <[grant]_Achel> Yeah, I was all alone so I couldn't stitch it up properly. The last scar that I'll ever have since being a monster helps healing like it never happened.
  397. [00:40:07] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Oh, so... these all happened before you became...what you are?
  398. [00:41:15] <[grant]_Achel> I would have a ton more otherwise.
  399. [00:43:30] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Wow...I knew you were a warrior, but to actually see it...And to think that there would be so much more were it not for your transformation...
  400. [00:47:11] <[grant]_Achel> I would also probably be dead by now as well.
  401. [00:47:43] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Well, thank goodness you're not!
  402. [00:47:58] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella runs her hand down Achel's scar again.]]
  403. [00:49:11] * [grant]_Achel gets tickled a little and shifts for a split second.
  404. [00:50:08] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella quickly withdraws her hand.]]
  405. [00:50:21] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Oh, I'm sorry, did I do something wrong?
  406. [00:51:29] <[grant]_Achel> You just did it suddenly, usually you ask to do everything.
  407. [00:52:45] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I'm sorry, I thought you already gave me permission...
  408. [00:54:56] <[grant]_Achel> You're fine. Just me being sensitive.
  409. [00:56:04] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella places her had on Achel's back once again, running her fingers down the length of Achel's scar.]]
  410. [00:58:18] <[grant]_Achel> Alright, now it's your turn.
  411. [00:58:50] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Huh‽ What‽
  412. [01:00:00] <[grant]_Achel> To take your top off. * She turns foward. *
  413. [01:01:14] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Here? In the garden?
  414. [01:01:31] <[grant]_Achel> You've already asked this question silly.
  415. [01:02:21] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella's blush is refreshed.]]
  416. [01:02:30] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I suppose it's only fair...
  417. [01:03:21] * [grant]_Achel smiles and waits patiently
  418. [01:07:26] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella carefully undoes her apon, the contents of its pocket clinking slightly, folds it, and sets it in a patch of grass. She then removes her black outer dress, taking the time to smooth it and fold it on top of her apron. Left in a blouse and petticaots, she continues to blush as she undoes the buttons of her blouse, and folds it in its turn, crowning the stack with it.]]
  419. [01:08:06] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I'm sorry, but I don't really have any cool scars to see. Maybe a few, from nicks and scrapes, if you look closely, but nothing as impressive as what you have...
  420. [01:09:12] <[grant]_Achel> I'm not interested in seeing things like that, I just want to see you.
  421. [01:10:00] <[Multi]_Theo> [[If Isabella's blush doesn't get brighter, it gets hotter.]]
  422. [01:10:14] <[Multi]_Theo> ISabella: Well, I'm charmed that you think I'm worth taking a look at.
  423. [01:14:26] <[grant]_Achel> Honestly I didn't think you would let me convince you to do this. I'm glad though. * Looks over Isabella in an inspecting manner and just nods to herself. *
  424. [01:16:19] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: So, what do you think? Should I have more scars?
  425. [01:19:49] <[grant]_Achel> It would make you look cooler but you don't need those.
  426. [01:20:18] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Yes, in my line of work, they're a bit o a liability.
  427. [01:21:04] <[grant]_Achel> How often do you clean without clothes for scars to be exposed?
  428. [01:22:05] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Not often. It mostly tends to factor in to the screening process. Some people are picky about the kind of people they want to be cleaning their homes.
  429. [01:25:50] <[grant]_Achel> Hmmm. Seems pretty tough. A completely different life from what I'm used to. If you can get the job done then you're all good.
  430. [01:26:35] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Well, that's true with cleaning, too. Nobody will hire a maid who can't clean.
  431. [01:29:33] <[grant]_Achel> A maid that can't clean isn't really a maid.
  432. [01:29:48] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Ha ha! I suppose that's true.
  433. [01:30:27] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: And I suppose a warrior without her scars isn't much of a warrior, either.
  434. [01:32:13] <[grant]_Achel> It would be impressive if they fought as much as me and didn't get any scars.
  435. [01:32:56] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I think it's still pretty impressive how you've managed to get all of these and live to tell the tale.
  436. [01:33:24] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella's hand absently drifts to Achel's shoulder to feel a couple minor scars.]]
  437. [01:35:07] * [grant]_Achel in turn moves her hand towards Isabella's ribs.
  438. [01:36:03] <[Multi]_Theo> [[ISabella is too busy looking at Achel's bare shoulder to notice the motion.]]
  439. [01:37:26] * [grant]_Achel slides her hand down Isabella's exposed side towards her waist.
  440. [01:38:25] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella gasps when Achel's hand makes contact, and Achel can feel Isabella tense up at the same moment.]]
  441. [01:41:27] <[grant]_Achel> Opps, I suppose I shouldn't let my hand wander too much. Any farther wouldn't be good for even for artistic purposes.
  442. [01:42:07] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: No, no, it's alright, I just wasn't expecting it. My atention was focused...elsewhere.
  443. [01:42:51] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella places her free hand on Achel's, that had wandered to her side.]]
  444. [01:43:12] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: This... is what I didn't feel when I was helping Adeline.
  445. [01:46:49] <[grant]_Achel> It's because you barely know her.
  446. [01:47:22] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: You think so?
  447. [01:47:52] <[grant]_Achel> Maybe, only you know how you feel right now.
  448. [01:49:03] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Well...I'm not opposed to the idea...and I do see her on a regular basis...
  449. [01:49:15] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Maybe I should just volunteer to lend a hand again.
  450. [01:52:01] <[grant]_Achel> I'm not sure how much you'll learn about her like that.
  451. [01:53:20] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella chuckles.]]
  452. [01:53:34] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: You must really like her. You can't stop talking about her, even now.
  453. [01:54:06] <[grant]_Achel> Do I really talk about her that much?
  454. [01:54:43] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Well...Thinking back, I guess not. Now that I think about it, I'm always the one who's bringing her up.
  455. [01:57:55] <[grant]_Achel> You bring her up more often then I do but only feel something with me. Complex.
  456. [01:58:47] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Well, last time, I just wanted to make sure I was doing a good job looking after her. This time, I was just trying to make a point. I didn't mean to start a conversation about her.
  457. [02:03:12] <[grant]_Achel> I'll forgive you. * Achel takes her hand and moves it across Isabella's collar bone and then up the side of her neck. *
  458. [02:03:42] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella has relaxed by now, and offers no resistance.]]
  459. [02:06:35] <[grant]_Achel> I know I asked you to come this far but we should stop, at least for now.
  460. [02:07:02] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: I suppose we shouldn't go on out in the open like this.
  461. [02:07:50] <[grant]_Achel> It would be a little complicated for both of us. I'm glad you understand.
  462. [02:09:06] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Thank you for showing me your scars. I'm impressed.
  463. [02:11:18] <[grant]_Achel> Thank you, I always enjoy compliments. I look forward to seeing more of you as well.
  464. [02:11:44] <[Multi]_Theo> [[There's that blush again.]]
  465. [02:11:50] <[Multi]_Theo> Isabella: Im glad the feeling's mutual.
  466. [02:13:28] * [grant]_Achel puts her clothes back on
  467. [02:14:14] <[Multi]_Theo> [[Isabella joins Achel in getting dressed.]]
  468. [02:14:19] <[Multi]_Theo> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
