  1. Monster Strike Beginner Guide
  2. By Ewing Leung on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 9:47pm
  3. Well Monster Strike finally came to US!! Here is a quick guide for people!
  4.
  5. I assume you know how to actually play the game and just dont know the raising and tricks lol
  6.
  7. The Monster
  8. Each monster has 3 stats, HP, ATK, SPD. They increase as you level up a monster or add + monsters to it.
  9.
  10. Each monster has 0 - 2 Abilities and some monster have a gauge ability. Gauge abilities only activate with you do a "Fantastic" when you move them.
  11.
  12. Luck (clover) is the percent chance of you getting an extra drop at the end dungeon. The number is the actual percent chance. You increase your luck by fusing the same monster (or preevo/evo versions)
  13.
  14. A monster will have a special skill called "Strike Shot" Note that you can not decrease the number of turns for them.
  15. There is a Sync version which only triggers when you are at below 33% HP and have the right monsters in your team.
  16.
  17. Last is the Bump Combo. They activate when another monster on your team hits it.
  18.
  19. Creating Your Team
  20. You will only have 3 monsters on your team with an addition to 1 friend totaling to 4. The first monster is your "leader" monster which friends can use. The Luck chance only pertains to your leader monster. Order of moving your monster depends on the order of your team. There is NO set team to defeat a specific dungeon. It all depends on the set of abilities your monsters have and how well it works in the dungeon. Its more like a certain bump combo works well with another one, not a certain monster works with another one
  21.
  22. Multiplayer
  23. You can play with up to 3 friends in a close proximately of you (bluetooth range). The stamina used will be from the Host but he will be the only one to get the dungeon EXP. However, all members that play will get drops and coins. Be careful since each player will have 15 seconds to move or else their turn will skip. There are also multiplayer only dungeons.
  24.
  25. Evolution / Ascend
  26. Evolution uses catalysts that you get during dungeons. There is no real max to the amount you can carry (probably 999 but chances are you wont go that far). The hardest to get is the Divine one which you can only get during Daily dungeons. Even so, they are very low drop %. There are events that x3 the drop rate in JP.
  27.
  28. Ascend only happens to some monsters. They use boss drops of a specific luck that comes from event dungeons. Boss drops always come with a Luck of 1.
  29.
  30. Event Dungeons
  31. There will be numerous even dungeons that you can go into. All of them are a material for some ascenable monster. All boss drops are 4star
  32.
  33. Descend Dungeons
  34. These are the harder level dungeons. Some of them are materials for ascenable monsters. If you 0-stone the hardest level, you will ALWAYS get a boss drop. Boss drops are 5stars and are very viable in teams
  35.
  36. Bosses
  37. Each dungeon has a Boss monster. There will be a set speed clear count for you. If you beat the monster within that number of turns, you will get an extra treasure box. Also, each boss has a specific number of bars it has:
  38.
  39. Dark Blue: 4
  40. Light Blue: 3
  41. Green: 2
  42. Yellow: 1
  43.
  44. NOTE: EACH BAR DOES NOT ALWAYS HAVE THE SAME HP
  45.
  46. ---If there is anything else, feel free to ask. There is going to be a Tips and Tricks Doc---

  48. Monster Strike Co-op Guide
  49. By Ewing Leung on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 12:19pm
  50. One of the best things about Monster Strike is to play with friends!
  51.
  52. How to Set Up/Join a Game
  53. 1. Go to Quest -> Recruit a Team
  54. 2. Search Friends is for finding people around your physical location
  55. 3. Invite Friends is for people that is not around your location (rest of the tutorial is if you select this option)
  56. 4. Select the quest you want to run
  57. 5. Choose your team
  58. 6. Select which SNS app you want to send your invite
  59. 7. After posting your link, YOU HAVE TO GO INTO THE LINK AS WELL
  60. 8. People joining have to go to the link
  61. 9. Once everyone is in, the host press OK and you are off!
  62.
  63. *If you are joining a game with people around your physical location, go to Quest -> Join a Team*
  64.
  65. The Reception distance is a few hundred meters
  66.
  67. The Co-op Dungeon Experience
  68. Each member has 15 seconds to make their move. If they don't make their move, their turn is skipped. When a turn is skipped, Strike Shot cooldowns WILL NOT decrease and items WILL NOT grow/appear. Note that you don't have to move if you don't want to. It is a strategy of not taking extra damage from damage walls or if you are in line for an enemy attack. If someone gets disconnected from the game, the host will take over that person's monster.
  69.
  70. The Rewards
  71. There are a lot of benefits of playing Co-op. Note that stamina will be deducted from the host only.
  72.
  73. Host: Clear status, dungeon EXP, coins, drops
  74. Other Players: coins, drops
  75.
  76. Also, you can increase the chances of getting boxes through everyone's monster's Luck
  77.
  78. Affinity Meter
  79. When you play Co-op with friends, the affinity meter with that friend goes up. The amount differs between dungeon difficulty and rank difference. When the meter fills up, both players will get either a EXP turtle or Morling at the highest tier. You can only fill the meter with that friend once per day and it resets when the day resets. You can check which reward you will get next with that friend by checking the details in your friend list

  81. Monster Strike Advance Guide
  82. By Ewing Leung on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 4:52pm
  83. Here is an advance guide for players who want to know the ins and outs of the game
  84.
  85. Morings (Pluses)
  86. These guys drop very frequently throughout dungeons. There are 3 types to max the 3 stats for a monster. Each monster has a different limit of each stat. Therefore, when you are reviewing your fusion, check to see if the the plus value will be Yellow/Gold. The game will also give you notice that you might went overboard with the pluses.
  87.
  88. You can stack the pluses with each other as well to save up space. Here are the min and max of all the pluses in the game:
  89.
  90. --HP--
  91. Normal: 25 - 95
  92. S: 50 - 190
  93. X: 250 - 390
  94. ---ATK---
  95. Normal: 5 - 85
  96. S: 10 - 170
  97. X: 50 - 210
  98. ---SPD---
  99. Normal: 0.17 - 3.23
  100. S: 0.34 - 4.42
  101. X: 1.7 - 5.78
  102.
  103. You can farm them when it is x1.5 drop on normal dungeons. Tuesday for ATK, Wednesday for SPD, Thursday for HP
  104.
  105. Daily Dungeons
  106. There are daily dungeons in the game and they give you stones and sharls to evolve your monsters as well as a coin dungeon
  107.
  108. Monday: Light+Dark
  109. Tuesday: Fire
  110. Wednesday: Water
  111. Thursday: Wood
  112. Friday: Gold Turtles
  113. Saturday: Fire+Water+Light
  114. Sunday: Wood+Dark
  115.
  116. All daily dungeons besides Friday can drop a divine sharl. However, drop/appearance rates are very low.
  117.
  118. Abilities
  119. Most monsters have abilities. Here is a list of them so far (that I have found in NA)
  120.
  121. Null Damage Wall: Won't take damage from damage walls
  122. Null Gravity Barrier: Speed will not decrease when in contact with an enemy barrier
  123. Flight: Monster won't be affected by mines and warp zones
  124. Shield Breaker: Destroys shields
  125. OO Slayer: Deals x1.5 more damage to the enemy monster if they are OO
  126. OO Slayer L: Deals x2.5 more damage to the enemy monster if they are OO
  127. OO Slayer XL: Deals x3 more damage to the enemy monster if they are OO
  128.
  129. Raise that Luck!!
  130. Luck can be raise by fusing dupes with each other. The luck will be the sum of the two monster's luck. The max for each star is:
  131.
  132. 4 Stars: 72
  133. 5 Stars: 90
  134. 6 Stars: 99
  135.
  136. Only the luck of the first monster of your team is counted. When luck is at 99, you will ALWAYS get 2 reward boxes.
  137.
  138. Making a Luck 90 Starter
  139. This is how you work towards a Luck 90 Starter. People choose the Fire one because of the bump combo being Blast. Stats are medicore so they are just there for reward drops.
  140.
  141. Places to Farm (Fire Starter)
  142. Mt. Hotfoot - Volcanic Drake
  143. Blazing Menagerie - Blazing Dragonlord
  144.
  145. All you have to do is fuse them together and raise the rank. You only need to go up to 75 and there will be a +15 when you are at that level, totaling to 90
  146.
  147. Making a Luck 99 Descend Monster
  148. You can make a luck 99 monster with descend drops. Same way of creating as the starter but it takes more stamina and effort to create but it is rewarding. Which one is best? It all depends on you. People go for easier descend dungeons like Dark Dragon but you can just make one out of love.
  149.
  150. Note that they don't 100% drop, even on the highest level. You can get 100% drop on Extreme level if you 0-orb it.
  151.
  152. Plusing Efficiently when Luck Raising
  153. When you are making your high level luck monster, there is a way to efficiently plus max the monster.
  154.
  155. 1. Plus one of the materials
  156. 2. Select another material (without pluses) as the base and the one with plus as the material
  157. 3. Fuse and hope for a Mega Fusion
  158. 4. Repeat the process
  159.
  160. Since mega fusions are common, you can max plus your monster for free if you are lucky enough. Do this with all 3 stats at once
