BACKGROUD:
Being born to a rich father and mother, Shinji had all the perks of life. He got anything he wanted from toys to clothes, even a random person to do his homework. Being born an alpha had his way into all of those too. Even when he was three, his alpha instincts were showing. He was very demanding about everything, and his mother had to control him when Hikaru was working. His father's company was mainly a talent agency for those who want to act, sing, and dance. It was based in Yokohama, but they then moved to Tokyo as it was a more vibrant and populated city. They made another building in Tokyo, even though it costed a lot of money, but that didn't matter to Hikaru because he was a very rich man.

Sasuke (Shinji's mother) didn't want to move which is where the fighting started happening. Keep in mind, they moved to Tokyo when Shinji was about 6. She wanted to stay in her hometown where her childhood was, where she met Hikaru and actually fell in love with him and not his money. Hikaru wasn't actually in love because he knew he would get ladies with the money he has. Sasuke and Hikaru kept on having small fights until it turned into a big one. At some point, Sasuke would throw her high heels at him right in front of Shinji because she couldn't care with all of her anger inside of her. She wanted her child to be raised not as a brat, but as a well behaved child.

Sasuke was so sick of all the fights that she just left one night. She kissed her only child goodbye as Shinji was sleeping before leaving with her things. Hikaru was a single dad at that point, and just raised him like he always would. Hikaru did hire a nanny because he was so busy working. Shinji never saw his father. His nanny, Mai, was practically his step mom. Mai would help him with his homework, help him study, pack his lunch, make dinner, and just hang out and talk to him because his father was never home. It was a rare occurrence where Hikaru would come home early.

Technically, Mai did raise him but he still turned out to be like his father. Shinji wanted a lot of things to himself because he was spoiled or at least that's how he would act. As Shinji was becoming a teen, he actually dreamed of having a career. Shinji wanted to sing because of all the artists he saw online and on the Internet. He wanted to earn something for himself and that's when he started vocal lessons. They weren't under his father's agency because he knew that the vocal teachers would treat him like a baby.

Mai knew a vocal teacher that lived in Tokyo even though he was Korean (and half Japanese), but had such an amazing voice. His high notes were so high and powerful that a lot of people wanted him to be their vocal teacher. He was the best in business. She had gotten contact with him quickly and scheduled sessions too for Shinji, and his love for singing increased from there.

Shinji wasn't exactly happy while at school either as a teenager. He had friends, but it was probably because he was rich. He usually stayed quiet the whole school day and did his work which is practically the opposite of what people see now. He only stays quiet because he has nothing to say and because he doesn't want his emotions to show. As a teenager, he was very sad about his parents. Mai would help him and give him a lot of love because she was practically his mother. They had gotten so close over ten years.

Mai knew that Shinji wanted to become a big singer. That's how close they were because he wouldn't tell a lot of people that. His father never even knew that he was taking vocal lessons until a year after he started (when he was fifteen). One day, Mai was looking through the magazines that she gets monthly and saw that there were global auditions in Tokyo happening for those who want to become a Kpop star. Mai thought that this was a perfect chance for Shinji because one, he has great vocals, two, he's quite handsome in her eyes, and three, it would achieve his dream if he passed the auditions and got through the training. She knew it would be hard work if he got accepted. The training part is the hardest, but she wanted the best for Shinji because she practically raised him.

With a lot of nagging and threatening, Shinji went to the audition. His vocal teacher had picked out a song that would show off his vocals (and it did). It was just the fact that he was very nervous. He wanted to earn this and show that he's not just some rich guy's son because that's what people saw him as. Well, not anymore when they accepted him.

Shinji is known to be quite self-centered just like his father. He wants everything to himself, even the littlest things. If someone takes a piece of cheese from him, he'll freak out.  That's probably why people see him as possessive about everything he owns. It's a trait that makes people not like him, but that's not really him. That's only to show people that he's an alpha and he's strong.

On the inside when he's by himself or with someone close, he'll be quiet or more respectful. He'll be quite calm actually and very kind. He loves doing pranks because they're hilarious. He's really a child at heart with everything he does. He'll never be able to be like this because people will see him as a weak alpha. He acts brave, so people don't see him as that and they'll actually believe that he's selfish and brave, just like his father because everyone has heard of him.
