  6. [13:39] <huh> There was a certain baron, who lived in ages past. His castle, an imposing mass of rock and metal, hewn from the bones of mountains. The stonework was masterful, and it was decorated lavishly. The castle stood beautiful and yet terrible, a reminder to the surrounding people of its owner's continued existence. That master was one who was called a demon, but always when there were watchful ears about.
  7. [13:42] <huh> With his white hair and golden eyes, he certainly looked the part. And his power was immense. His skill in politics and his cunning lead him into a high seat of power. From there, he needed not even exercise his might. Its mere presence kept the populace subservient, no matter their feelings toward their great leader.
  8. [13:44] <huh> And yet, it was a fact that this leader had taken on a good amount of maids, and was accustomed to treating them well. What his true personality is, perhaps only his servants know.
  9. [13:53] <[huh]GM> And so that brings us to a new day, with the sun rising drowsily over the castle...
  10. [13:53] * [Spi]Kaz snores, rocking gently in tangled mess of web that litters her niche in the ceiling
  11. [13:54] * [Spi]Kaz "... don't run... Maryn~"
  12. [13:55] * [nfty]Garnet looks at the time, surrounded with bits and pieces of cut green glass she used to practice her craft. "Hmm... it's almost morning."
  13. [13:56] <[nfty]Garnet> ... Ah, they can wait.
  14. [13:56] * [Ora]Alataecia is still in deep sleep, possibly snoring, amongst the mess in her room.
  15. [13:56] * [Dune]Yano rises in her bed, already fully awakened by the sun's rising.
  16. [13:57] * [nfty]Garnet returns to her work, carefully adding one of the jewels to a brass band.
  17. [13:58] * [Spi]Kaz wiggles her fingers tentatively in her sleep with a dopey grin fixed on her head, which is lulling upsidedown from her nest
  18. [14:01] * [Dune]Yano , looking blankly at the glyphs on the back of her left hand, and then gets up from the bed to dress herself in her uniform, preparing for the day.
  19. [14:02] * [nfty]Garnet file file. Pick, tweeze. Pliers...
  20. [14:04] * [Ora]Alataecia tosses and accidentally hits the shelf full of porcelain figures, one of them falling and hits Alataecia on the head. If she wasn't awake she is now.
  21. [14:04] * [Ora]Alataecia rubs her head..
  22. [14:04] <[Ora]Alataecia> "Ow.. what a wake-up call."
  23. [14:05] * [Dune]Yano finishes dressing, tying her apron and moving to stand in the center of her room.
  24. [14:06] * [Ora]Alataecia spots the broken figure on the floor. Then begins to freak out a little.
  25. [14:06] <[Ora]Alataecia> "Aw, crap. Well I'll fix it later."
  26. [14:09] * [Spi]Kaz shudders visiably, arches her back, and falls out of her nest!
  27. [14:10] * [Ora]Alataecia groggily approaches the the closet for her maid clothes. This one will do.
  28. [14:11] * [Dune]Yano stands in the middle of her personal room, wings slightly fluttering as she exhales and begins focusing herself.
  29. [14:11] * [Spi]Kaz swings lazily back and forth from a strand of web, arms hanging limply passed her face. She still snores gently, daft grin still perpetuating on her face. Her oscilation brings her close to bashing her head on the dresser...
  30. [14:16] * [Spi]Kaz wooshes passed her unused bed's bedpost
  31. [14:16] * [nfty]Garnet finishes making her ring! She holds it high above her head. It is a brass band encrusted with rings of green glass, menacing with spikes of obsidian etc.
  32. [14:16] * [Dune]Yano raises her right hand so that its palm is touching the horn on her forehead, pricking it and drawing a small amount of blood.
  33. [14:17] <[nfty]Garnet> ... I'm thirsty.
  34. [14:17] * [nfty]Garnet finishes inspecting her masterpiece and sticks it with all the others, and goes to the kitchen to get a drink.
  35. [14:19] * [Spi]Kaz whacks her head against the hear by her dressing table! Ow!
  36. [14:19] <[Spi]Kaz> "Nyk-argh!"
  37. [14:19] * [Dune]Yano now holds her right hand cupped, a small pool of blood within it which she uses to smear over her the back of her left hand held in front of her, causing the glyphs to begin to glow.
  38. [14:20] * [Spi]Kaz falls to the floor with a crash, her dressing table rocks forward and spills forth clothing upon her tangled self
  39. [14:20] * [Ora]Alataecia finishes dressing and hears her stomach rumbles...
  40. [14:20] <[Ora]Alataecia> "Ngh... food."
  41. [14:21] * [Dune]Yano keeps her eyes closed while the blood disappears, and chants:
  42. [14:21] <[Spi]Kaz> "Myoorr... Who left that there?!"
  43. [14:22] * [Ora]Alataecia makes her way slowly into the kitchen stumbling along the way.
  44. [14:22] * [Spi]Kaz pulls herself free of her dispatched furniture, and stretches out with a long yawn, one arm extending after another in a haphazardous splay
  45. [14:22] <[Dune]Yano> Eye in the sky, come to my side,
  46. [14:22] <[Dune]Yano> fee paid, you are mine.
  47. [14:23] <[Dune]Yano> Until your contract ends, life perished in duty shall yours become rend.
  48. [14:23] * [Spi]Kaz hops to her feet, and exclaims "Ha-hah!" proudly at the world! Good morning new day, and no hangover~
  49. [14:24] * [Spi]Kaz ruffles her unkempt hair in a vague attempt to make it presentable, and starts to get dressed
  50. [14:24] * [nfty]Garnet is in the pantry, chugging a large bottle of Power-Ade. Glug glug glug...
  51. [14:24] * [Dune]Yano opens her eyes as the spell ends, a minor sparrow spirit perched upon her hand.
  52. [14:25] * [Ora]Alataecia finally makes her way through the halls and spots Garnet.
  53. [14:26] <[Ora]Alataecia> "hm.. Thirsty ain't ya Garnet? Well, I'm making breakfast. You want some too?"
  54. [14:26] * [Spi]Kaz tuckers herself into her garter, struggles into her dress, and adjusts the cut to show off her assets, before attempting to mount her hairband in a battle against her hair
  55. [14:26] * [Dune]Yano looks at this new familiar affectionately, petting it with one of her fingers.
  56. [14:26] * [Dune]Yano then addresses the sparrow, commanding:
  57. [14:27] <[Dune]Yano> find the others, and report back to me as to how they are doing; i'll be in the kitchen.
  58. [14:27] * [Spi]Kaz kicks her door open, and sticks her head out with a manic smile
  59. [14:27] <[Spi]Kaz> "Gooooooood mo... oh. No one."
  60. [14:28] * [Spi]Kaz squints her eyes, looks left, then right... then left again, and grins once more
  61. [14:30] * [Spi]Kaz closes her door. A few moments later she remerges as a spider, and climbs across the ceiling and sneaks along to the other maid's rooms stealthily, to see who is still around
  62. [14:31] * [nfty]Garnet finishes drinking. Ahhh.
  63. [14:32] * [Dune]Yano then exits her room and begins heading to the kitchen, the sparrow now leaving her hand to fly about the house and scout around for her.
  64. [14:32] * [nfty]Garnet looks over at Alataecia. "Breakfast? I suppose so..."
  65. [14:33] * [Spi]Kaz drops down from the ceiling behind Yano, and flings two arms over her shoulder, chin resting on her head and bosom pressed against her neck
  66. [14:33] <[Spi]Kaz> "MOOOORNNIIIIING~"
  67. [14:33] <[Ora]Alataecia> "Great, y'think the the others would want some too? I don't want to leave them out too..."
  68. [14:33] * [nfty]Garnet nods. "I am sure the Master would like to eat as well."
  69. [14:33] <[nfty]Garnet> We should make, three meals maximum perhaps.
  70. [14:34] * [Ora]Alataecia grins. "Alrighty. Lets cook, hopefully I can still remember that meal."
  71. [14:34] * [Dune]Yano is taken completely by surprise, and her wings go berserk in panic.
  72. [14:34] <[Dune]Yano> YAAH!
  73. [14:34] <[Spi]Kaz> "AAH!"
  74. [14:35] * [nfty]Garnet follows Alataecia into the kitchen. "Indeed."
  75. [14:35] * [Spi]Kaz loses her footing from the wing buffeting, and falls forward
  76. [14:37] * [Dune]Yano goes to try and spin around to shake off the assailant, but is foiled as said assailant falls onto her back, causing Yano to fall to the floor as well in a tumble of maids and wings.
  77. [14:38] * [Spi]Kaz grabs hold of Yano with two of her untangled arms
  78. [14:38] <[Spi]Kaz> "Gotcha~"
  79. [14:39] * [Ora]Alataecia finishes cooking. Took a little bit longer than usual but at least it looks good enough to eat. "Its ready Garnet. Help yourself, the others should be here shortly. Don't forget to save some for the master."
  80. [14:40] * [Dune]Yano blushes a little upon hearing Kaz's voice and feeling her weight on top of herself.
  81. [14:40] * [nfty]Garnet takes about a third of the food. "Thank you. This smells pretty good."
  82. [14:41] * [nfty]Garnet sets her plate on the table. "Actually, I wonder what the master is doing."
  83. [14:41] <[Spi]Kaz> "Haha! No good morning?"
  84. [14:41] * [nfty]Garnet goes to see what is up with that.
  85. [14:41] * [Spi]Kaz rests her chin on Yano's shoulder, cheek to cheek, and grins
  86. [14:41] * [Ora]Alataecia takes her share as well and seats herself down.
  87. [14:41] * [Dune]Yano blushes a little more, but speaks:
  88. [14:42] <[Dune]Yano> Good morning...and please rise thyself off of me.
  89. [14:42] * [Dune]Yano 's voice is softer than usual, in part from her embarrassment, and in part from lacking air in her lungs.
  90. [14:43] * [Spi]Kaz puts on a serious face, looks to the side, and whispers from the corner of her mouth
  91. [14:43] <[Spi]Kaz> "what's the password?"
  92. [14:44] * [nfty]Garnet finds herself in front of the master's room, and pounds on the door.
  93. [14:45] * [Dune]Yano 's blush retains its slight tinge upon her cheeks, as she mutters.
  94. [14:45] <[Dune]Yano> ...please.
  95. [14:45] * [huh]Meliel doesn't answer.
  96. [14:45] * [Spi]Kaz beams a wide smile
  97. [14:45] <[Spi]Kaz> "You /really/ do know magic! Haha!"
  98. [14:46] * [Spi]Kaz hops to her feet, hands on hips and laughs, before marching off to the master's room noisily
  99. [14:46] * [nfty]Garnet tries the doorknob.
  100. [14:46] * [Dune]Yano rises and brushes herself off, fluttering her wings to check they're not broken.
  101. [14:47] <[huh]Meliel> [The door opens.]
  102. [14:48] * [nfty]Garnet quickly heads into the room and moves to Meliel's bed.
  103. [14:49] * [Spi]Kaz reaches a turning towards the masters room, grins, and starts to tread a little more delicately down the hallway
  104. [14:49] * [Dune]Yano huffs as she marches off to the kitchen to prepare the master's breakfast.
  105. [14:49] <[nfty]Garnet> Maaaster.
  106. [14:50] <[huh]Meliel> nnggg.
  107. [14:50] * [nfty]Garnet tries to look for Meliel. Where is that -- oh.
  108. [14:50] * [nfty]Garnet digs him out from under the blankets.
  109. [14:51] <[huh]Meliel> nnnggg...
  110. [14:51] * [Spi]Kaz notices the open door, and the call from before hand.. oh well~ Kaz attempts to sneak in the room up onto the ceiling to spy
  111. [14:51] * [huh]Meliel waves a hand feebly.
  112. [14:52] * [nfty]Garnet grabs the hand and pullls.
  113. [14:52] <[huh]Meliel> nguuUwah!
  114. [14:53] * [huh]Meliel tumbles from the bed.
  115. [14:53] <[nfty]Garnet> Ahh.. good morning Master.
  116. [14:54] * [nfty]Garnet greets Meliel with a rare smile. Or is that a smirk?
  117. [14:54] <[huh]Meliel> Good... good morning, Garnet...
  118. [14:54] * [Dune]Yano arrives in the kitchen, not noticing the dormant fruit in the corner.
  119. [14:55] * [huh]Meliel rubs his head.
  120. [14:55] * [nfty]Garnet bows. "It is mealtime and you are late, please hurry."
  121. [14:55] <[huh]Meliel> Oh, food?
  122. [14:55] * [huh]Meliel perks up.
  123. [14:55] <[Dune]Yano> alright, time to cook...
  124. [14:55] <[nfty]Garnet> It will get cold if you don't head to the dining room soon.
  125. [14:55] <[huh]Meliel> Ah...
  126. [14:56] * [huh]Meliel gets up and brushs himself off, then turns and starts toward the kitchen.
  127. [14:56] * [Spi]Kaz realises food must have already been prepared and detects a way to gain favour without work!
  128. [14:56] * [Dune]Yano goes about fetching multiple pots and pans, spices and ingredients. Not all of them come from the cabinets, but mysteriously, hidden pockets in her skirt and about her uniform.
  129. [14:56] * [Spi]Kaz scuttles across the ceiling and down the corridor!
  130. [14:57] * [Spi]Kaz arrives in the kitchen and drops clumsily to the floor
  131. [14:58] <[Spi]Kaz> "What you dooooiiinng?~"
  132. [14:58] * [Dune]Yano looks over at Kaz, the glance hardening slightly as she cooks.
  133. [14:58] * [nfty]Garnet follows Meliel quietly.
  134. [14:58] <[Ora]Alataecia> "Breakfast, you want some?"
  135. [14:58] <[Dune]Yano> cooking breakfast, what were you doing?
  136. [14:58] * [Dune]Yano is surprised by the new voice.
  137. [14:58] <[Dune]Yano> eh?
  138. [14:58] * [Dune]Yano turns, and sees Alatecia.
  139. [14:59] <[Dune]Yano> oh, hello Alataecia.
  140. [14:59] * [Spi]Kaz smiles widly "Checking on the Master, silly! Here let me help you~!"
  141. [14:59] * [Dune]Yano then turns back to her cooking.
  142. [15:00] * [Ora]Alataecia swallows the last chunk of food and replies. "Hey, sorry. I didn't notice you there. I see you're cooking some breakfast. Sorry I didn't cook enough for everyone."
  143. [15:00] <[Spi]Kaz> "Hey! Don't you worry a thing! We can cook Master's meal, right Yano~?"
  144. [15:01] * [Dune]Yano continues her work to create omelettes, paella, and sausages as a fine meal.
  145. [15:01] * [Ora]Alataecia points Kaz at the last portion on the table."That's his. You're too slow."
  146. [15:01] * [Dune]Yano not turning to address the two others in the kitchen, she says:
  147. [15:01] <[Dune]Yano> no problem, Alataecia.
  148. [15:01] <[Dune]Yano> and Kaz, i have this covered.
  149. [15:02] * [Dune]Yano expertly and dramatically flips an omelette as proof.
  150. [15:02] * [Spi]Kaz looks at the food, picks it up, and prances over to Yano
  151. [15:02] * [nfty]Garnet notes that Meliel seems to have gotten himself lost!
  152. [15:02] <[Ora]Alataecia> "Though, I feel the master may have a voracious apatite. So please feel free to cook some more if you'd like."
  153. [15:03] * [huh]Meliel is looking at a painting in some hall...
  154. [15:03] * [Spi]Kaz rests her chin on Yuno's other shoulder this time, and thursts the pre-maid (oh ho) meal under her arm whilst she cooks
  155. [15:03] <[huh]Meliel> Did we ever have something like this...?
  156. [15:03] <[Spi]Kaz> "What do you think Yano?"
  157. [15:03] <[nfty]Garnet> Ahh... I think that just came in yesterday.
  158. [15:04] * [nfty]Garnet scratches her head "Weren't you heading to the dining room, Master?"
  159. [15:04] * [Dune]Yano glances away from her cooking for a moment to glance at Kaz's.
  160. [15:04] * [Dune]Yano cocking her head, she replies:
  161. [15:04] <[Dune]Yano> it's ok.
  162. [15:05] <[Spi]Kaz> "AAaaah but OK? Ok is good enough for the Master?"
  163. [15:05] * [Spi]Kaz whisks the plate away with an arm reaching from the opposite side of Yuna
  164. [15:06] * [Ora]Alataecia finishes off the last bit of her meal and cleans her plate at the sink but notices the plate with the rest of the food missing.
  165. [15:08] * [huh]Meliel finally manages to wander into the kitchen.
  166. [15:08] <[huh]Meliel> G'mornin...
  167. [15:08] * [huh]Meliel stifles a yawn.
  168. [15:08] * [Dune]Yano turns her head to address the master warmly.
  169. [15:08] <[Ora]Alataecia> "H-hey.. where did the rest of the food for master go?"
  170. [15:08] <[Dune]Yano> Good morning, master.
  171. [15:09] * [Spi]Kaz turns, with her arms still around Yuna at the food, and in unison says "Good morning , Maaastah!"
  172. [15:09] * [Dune]Yano blushes a little as she becomes acutely aware of Kaz on her, but continues her cooking which is coming to a close.
  173. [15:10] <[huh]Meliel> Ah, something smells good...
  174. [15:10] <[Spi]Kaz> "Oh Master, you naughty thing~"
  175. [15:10] * [nfty]Garnet heads in after Meliel.
  176. [15:10] <[huh]Meliel> Hah?
  177. [15:10] <[Spi]Kaz> "Heehee."
  178. [15:11] * [nfty]Garnet looks around at the table. Where'd her plate go?
  179. [15:12] * [nfty]Garnet looks over at Kaz.
  180. [15:13] * [Spi]Kaz is still leaning back facing the master beaming stupidly
  181. [15:13] * [huh]Meliel sits down at the table.
  182. [15:14] <[nfty]Garnet> I don't recognize some of this meal. I thought Alataecia had cooked some food earlier.
  183. [15:15] <[Ora]Alataecia> I did. A certain someone took the rest of the meal. I'm not sure who.
  184. [15:15] <[Spi]Kaz> "Aaah hah, don't be silly~ That was nowhere near as special enough for our great and /powerful/ Master! We thought that was just for lowly us!"
  185. [15:16] <[Spi]Kaz> "Tell them what we have over here Yunaa~"
  186. [15:16] * [nfty]Garnet thinks. (There's no way Meliel is going to buy that.)
  187. [15:16] * [Dune]Yano puts her hand on her hips, huffing slightly and pouting.
  188. [15:16] <[Dune]Yano> hey, you didn't cook at all~!
  189. [15:17] <[Spi]Kaz> "Awh, no need to be competitive Yano! Here I'll go sit over here and let you finish up~"
  190. [15:18] * [Spi]Kaz presses her cheeck to Yano's, grins, and gooses her
  191. [15:18] * [huh]Meliel looks etween the arguing sides, confused.
  192. [15:18] <[Ora]Alataecia> "Suit yourself, the master shall be the one who judges our food."
  193. [15:18] * [Dune]Yano stiffens suddenly, emitting a small shriek and blushing more heavily.
  194. [15:19] * [Spi]Kaz prances over to the master
  195. [15:19] <[Dune]Yano> eek!
  196. [15:19] <[Spi]Kaz> "Careful Yano! Don't want to burn yourself~"
  197. [15:19] * [Spi]Kaz gives Alataecia her plate
  198. [15:19] * [Spi]Kaz smiles widly
  199. [15:19] * [Dune]Yano turns to glare at Kaz, but something odd lurks behind her eyes. Her face shows no amusement.
  200. [15:20] <[Dune]Yano> mm, just what was that for?
  201. [15:20] * [Ora]Alataecia accepts the plate and puts in back on the table.
  202. [15:20] <[Ora]Alataecia> Would you like to try some of my food master?
  203. [15:21] * [huh]Meliel nods, his eyes lighting up at the prospect of finally getting his meal.
  204. [15:21] * [nfty]Garnet sighs and just sits next to Meliel. "...it looks like they're trying to compete for your attention again."
  205. [15:21] * [Spi]Kaz turns to Yano and beams a big open mouthed-closed-eye'd smile, mimicing in one hand a bowl, another stirring, another tipping some invisble goods into the device, and a generall flurry of mime, which ends in her accidently hitting herself in the head... but at least the impression is still relayed
  206. [15:22] <[huh]Meliel> 14Eh, it gets me fed...
  207. [15:22] * [Ora]Alataecia looks dishearten but cheers up. "I'll do better next time."
  208. [15:22] * [huh]Meliel tries the meal...
  209. [15:23] * [Dune]Yano keeps her glare upon Kaz, but breaks it as she begins taking the food and placing it onto plates, bringing them to the dining table.
  210. [15:24] * [Dune]Yano lightening her voice for the master, she proclaims,
  211. [15:24] <[Dune]Yano> Here master, i hope you enjoy it.
  212. [15:24] <[Dune]Yano> Some of my finest cooking yet.
  213. [15:24] * [huh]Meliel tries some of the other meal, carefully tasting each and contrasting flavors and texture.
  214. [15:25] <[huh]Meliel> This...
  215. [15:26] * [huh]Meliel motions to Alataecia's meal.
  216. [15:26] <[huh]Meliel> Is rather good.
  217. [15:26] * [huh]Meliel swallows.
  218. [15:26] <[huh]Meliel> This, on the other hand...
  219. [15:26] <[huh]Meliel> Is excellent.
  220. [15:27] * [Dune]Yano smiles, upon the compliment.
  221. [15:27] * [huh]Meliel motions to Yano's meal.
  222. [15:28] * [Spi]Kaz leans her elbow on Alataecia's shoulder and ruffles her hair with another
  223. [15:28] <[huh]Meliel> All in all, good job all around.
  224. [15:29] <[huh]Meliel> 15I was right to get a few maids...
  225. [15:29] * [Spi]Kaz whispers to Alataecia; "Don't worry honey, next time I bet you'll blow her~"
  226. [15:29] * [Spi]Kaz ...away"
  227. [15:29] * [Ora]Alataecia smiles at Kaz.
  228. [15:30] <[huh]Meliel> But, have all of you already eaten?
  229. [15:30] <[Spi]Kaz> "Ah hah! Of course not Master, you always come first~!"
  230. [15:30] * [huh]Meliel nods.
  231. [15:31] * [Dune]Yano makes a slight grimace for a moment, but it disappears.
  232. [15:31] <[Ora]Alataecia> "I think Kaz and Yano have not eaten. But so far I am the only one who has ate. I apologize for my rudeness."
  233. [15:31] * [nfty]Garnet ahems.
  234. [15:31] <[Dune]Yano> yes, serving thine master comes first.
  235. [15:32] * [Spi]Kaz slides over to Meliel and rubs his shoulders in a textbook demonstration of lack of etiquette
  236. [15:32] <[huh]Meliel> Ah, it's no issue. Please, sit with me.
  237. [15:32] <[nfty]Garnet> I put aside my meal to go and wake you first. I can take care of the leftovers after you are finished.
  238. [15:32] <[Spi]Kaz> "Alataecia had made food before all of us had got up, so she had loooots of time~"
  239. [15:34] * [Dune]Yano sits down at the table upon her master's request, diagonal from him (and thus, Kaz).
  240. [15:36] <[Spi]Kaz> "Sooo~ What important things has Master got planned for world today? Fear and adventure and important big scary things~?
  241. [15:36] <[huh]Meliel> Yes, yes, all of that~
  242. [15:36] <[huh]Meliel> But first...
  243. [15:37] <[huh]Meliel> We can't forget that today happens to be Yano's birthday.
  244. [15:37] * [huh]Meliel claps.
  245. [15:37] * [Spi]Kaz gasps
  246. [15:37] * [Dune]Yano at first is surprised, but then smiles and blushes.
  247. [15:37] <[Dune]Yano> a-ah, thank you...
  248. [15:37] * [Spi]Kaz puts on a huge grin and narrows her eyes
  249. [15:38] * [Ora]Alataecia is slightly confuses but joins in anyway.
  250. [15:38] <[Ora]Alataecia> "Happy Birthday, how rude of me to have forgotten a fellow maid's birth."
  251. [15:38] <[Spi]Kaz> "Master is so thoughtful~"
  252. [15:38] <[nfty]Garnet> Ah... I should make a piece of jewelry to celebrate this occasion.

  395. [17:50] * [Dune]Yano instantly realizes the peril that is occuring in the village, and she runs about the maid's quarters, rallying the staff:

  398. [17:51] * [huh]Peasantry recoils at the assault, and the one holding Meliel is injured. However, the group preses onward, now heading to the town's central church.

  410. [17:54] * [Dune]Yano runs as fast as she can to the front gate, so they may organize and move to the village together.

  416. [17:56] * [huh]Peasantry is holding fast. Prepared this time, the peasant holding Meliel, who seems to be larger and stronger than he others, headbutts the familiar while catching Alataecia with a high kick.

  424. [18:00] * [Ora]Alataecia gets up from the ground. Cover in dirt and a mix of blood from the face.

  427. [18:01] * [huh]Peasantry has stopped in the face of the maid's resistance. They've formed a circle around Alataecia and their leader, and are shouting and jeering.

  429. [18:02] * [nfty]Garnet gets on a horse. The horse isn't too pleased about having to support a large mobile hunk of metal, but it manages.

  432. [18:03] * [Ora]Alataecia looks around for the sign of the first assailant who will attack first.. "This doesn't look too good."

  474. [18:15] * [Dune]Yano produces, out of nowhere, what appear to be three cast-iron spheres and tosses them to the ground around her.
  475. [18:16] * [nfty]Garnet heads over and tries to pull Alataecia to relative safety while the peasants are distracted by the crazy spider and summoner over there.
  476. [18:16] <[huh]Peasantry> Sorcerers, demons, and monsters! This lord keeps foul company!

  478. [18:16] <[Dune]Yano> says the scum who would assault an innocent girl, and kidnap a man!
  479. [18:16] * [Spi]Kaz bends backwards, her arms lenghthen into points, 6 dots appear across her forehead and converge into eyes, and a mandibled maw replaces her own, as she transoforms into a gaint spider
  480. [18:17] * [Dune]Yano glares in wonder at her nature familiar, amazed while the spheres burst in a flash of light to reveal three self-animated and armed suits of armor.

  482. [18:17] * [Spi]Kaz screetches an alien howl and rears up at the crows, waving her limbs menacingly! Woooo! Scary!

  508. [18:24] * [Dune]Yano turns back to Kaz, and the battle.
  509. [18:24] * [kiri]Familiar reverts to the sandstorm form, "Shai Hulud". it begins swirling around, sprinkling sand into everyone's eyes.

  512. [18:30] * [Dune]Yano 's three Dullahan armor suits clunk forward, attempting to assist with the battle and engage in melee with the remaining peasants.
  513. [18:31] * [Spi]Kaz waits for the suits to engage, then shoots a jet of webbing out to the leg of the nearest guard
  514. [18:32] <[huh]Peasant> [a piercing blow is aimed for the leader, but a guard jumps in the way, using his body as a shielf, and falls incapacitated.]

  516. [18:34] * [kiri]Familiar manage to scare the rest of peasant away, and is taking form once again, chirping, pleased with her victory.

  519. [18:35] <[nfty]Garnet> Suddenly, something happens!
  520. [18:38] * [Spi]Kaz fires another line of webbing, dragging at the next guard's legs
  521. [18:40] * [nfty]Garnet suddenly appears and points something at a guard, a loud 'bang!' is heard and something small and shiny flies into the mob of peasants.

  523. [18:40] <[huh]Peasant> [The guard falls, and the leader dodges to the side just in time to avoid a projectile launched at him from far away. Off, in the distance, is Garnet, on her horse and poised with a ranged weapon of some kind.]
  524. [18:42] * [Dune]Yano notices Garnet's assistance and smiles, but quickly returns to directing the actions of her summoned creatures.

  604. 06[17:06] * [Spi]Kaz skips up to the drinks cabinet, norrows her eyes and raises her eyebrows, gingerly reaching for the cabinet. She loos to the left.... aaaand to the right, then gingerly reaches towards the doors

  606. 06[17:08] * [Spi]Kaz beams, flings open the doors, yanks out some whisky, and unceremoniously turns and slams the doors shut with her heel

  1067. 06[23:43] * [Dune]Yano shouts over the rooftops and the storm as best she can:

  1069. 06[23:45] * [spi]Kaz shivers and holds Meliel whilst on her knees; "I couldn't leave you to... them. I knew the magic things were stupid"
  1070. 06[23:47] * []Anima gains altitude over the peasant before diving straight down at it's arm.
  1071. 06[23:49] * []Anima changes mid-fall, but misses, slamming into the ground with impressive force.
  1072. 06[23:50] * [huh]Peasant dodges out of the way, but the attack distracts him from Garnet.
  1073. 06[23:50] * [Dune]Yano cringes with sudden shock on the roof, grasping one of her sides with pain.
  1074. 06[23:51] * [nfty]Garnet hops away and teeters over until she lands on the ground with a rather loud crash
  1075. [23:51] <[huh]Meliel> [The gas knocks many of the peasants out, leaving only two standing. The rest waver, then fall.]
  1076. [23:51] <[nfty]Garnet> Urgh...
