  2. ANALYZING MODERATOR HOLT LESTER QUESTIONS & DEBATE STATEMENTS
  3.
  4. I have just spent the last 30 minutes reading the entire transcript of the debates and I decided to take a chronological look at all of the statements and comments made by Holt Lester: specifically any unnecessary statements made, the questions he asked, and who he asked them to. My goal was to find out how many "exclusive" questions he asked to Trump and Hilary, and the overall tone of the questions asked (hardball questions or softball passes). The following is snippets from Holt Lester of the entire transcript of what I have found. I have tried to leave everything transcribed exactly as-is but added parenthesis in italics for reader clarification on certain sections.
  5. Note that this is a tally of Holt Lester's exclusive questions and statements.
  6. Thank you for reading and I hope you get some use out of this analysis.
  7. My personal commentary is in green italics.
  8. (After opening statements, starting with Trump and then Hilary, they begin)
  9. ⦁ TO BOTH #1: "Secretary Clinton, thank you. Mr. Trump, the same question to you. It's about putting money -- more money into the pockets of American workers. You have up to two minutes."
  10. ⦁ TO TRUMP #1: "Let me follow up with Mr. Trump, if you can. You've talked about creating 25 million jobs, and you've promised to bring back millions of jobs for Americans. How are you going to bring back the industries that have left this country for cheaper labor overseas? How, specifically, are you going to tell American manufacturers that you have to come back?"
  11. ⦁ TO TRUMP #2: "How do you bring back -- specifically bring back jobs, American manufacturers? How do you make them bring the jobs back?"
  12. ⦁ TO BOTH #2: "And we're still on the issue of achieving prosperity. And I want to talk about taxes. The fundamental difference between the two of you concerns the wealthy. Secretary Clinton, you're calling for a tax increase on the wealthiest Americans. I'd like you to further defend that. And, Mr. Trump, you're calling for tax cuts for the wealthy. I'd like you to defend that." (notice that he subtly plants the seed of bias in the initial opener for this question: it's about the "wealthy," which fits into Clinton's narrative even though Trump has the largest tax cut for all Americans and not just the wealthy)
  13. ⦁ TO TRUMP #3: "Mr. Trump, we're talking about the burden that Americans have to pay, yet you have not released your tax returns. And the reason nominees have released their returns for decades is so that voters will know if their potential president owes money to -- who he owes it to and any business conflicts. Don't Americans have a right to know if there are any conflicts of interest?" (this is never asked of Hilary and her Clinton Foundation donars from foreign countries like Saudi Arabia)
  14. ⦁ TO TRUMP #4: "The IRS says an audit of your taxes -- you're perfectly free to release your taxes during an audit. And so the question, does the public's right to know outweigh your personal..." (-he is cut off here by Trump's reply before he could finish the loaded statement)
  15. ⦁ TO TRUMP #5: (Trump hits Hilary on her email scandal and says "if Hilary releases her deleted 33,000 emails I will release my tax returns now," to which Lester replies...) "So it's negotiable?" (Trump says "It's not negotiable, no. Let her release the e-mails. Why did she delete 33,000..." -but is interrupted by Holt Lester who cuts him short and switches to Hilary before Trump can continue)-"
  16. ⦁ TO HILARY #1: "Well, I'll let her answer (the Email comments from Trump). But let me just admonish the audience one more time. There was an agreement. We did ask you to be silent, so it would be helpful for us. Secretary Clinton?"
  17. ⦁ TO HILARY #2: "(Trump) also -- he also raised the issue of your e-mails. Do you want to respond to that?" (gently hands over the emails question, rather than drilling her on the spot like he does consistently with Trump)
  18. ⦁ TO BOTH #3: "We move into our next segment talking about America's direction. And let's start by talking about race. The share of Americans who say race relations are bad in this country is the highest it's been in decades, much of it amplified by shootings of African-Americans by police, as we've seen recently in Charlotte and Tulsa. Race has been a big issue in this campaign, and one of you is going to have to bridge a very wide and bitter gap. So how do you heal the divide?" (everything here is custom fit for the liberal narrative, practically handing the question to Hilary on a silverplatter- this is not a fair and objective opening for the two presidential nominees when the leftwing talking points are baked into the question)
  19. ⦁ TO TRUMP #6: "Your two -- your two minutes expired, but I do want to follow up. Stop-and-frisk was ruled unconstitutional in New York, because it largely singled out black and Hispanic young men." (clearly lies here, perhaps misinformed. big problem! challenges and "fact-checks" Trump- can be passed off once as a slip, but typically it is the duty of the candidate to offer a rebuttle against the other candidate... not the moderator of the debate, and especially not if the statement is a lie.)
  20. ⦁ TO TRUMP #7: "The argument is that (Stop-and-frisk) is a form of racial profiling." (continues to push the narrative and press Trump, makes a controversal claim that a moderator has no business making to paint racism)
  21. ⦁ TO Hilary #3: "Secretary Clinton, last week, you said we've got to do everything possible to improve policing, to go right at implicit bias. Do you believe that police are implicitly biased against black people?" (softball, implied setup for confirmation bias on her supporters, fits Hilary's narrative)
  22. ⦁ TO TRUMP #8: "Mr. Trump, for five years, you perpetuated a false claim that the nation's first black president was not a natural-born citizen. You questioned his legitimacy. In the last couple of weeks, you acknowledged what most Americans have accepted for years: The president was born in the United States. Can you tell us what took you so long?" (hardball question with a nice edge at the end, so far all questions on the topic of "race relations" from Lester have been designed to crucify Trump as racist against blacks in one form or another- no actual policy or discussion about the cause or solutions)
  23. ⦁ TO TRUMP #9: "I just want to get the answer here. The birth certificate was produced in 2011. You've continued to tell the story and question the president's legitimacy in 2012, '13, '14, '15 as recently as January. So the question is, what changed your mind?" (Lester continues to aggressively press the Birther agenda and does not let it go, continues implications of Trump as a "racist" and continues to push Trump into a defensive and unfavorable position)
  24. ⦁ TO TRUMP #10: "I'm sorry. I'm just going to follow up -- and I will let you respond to that, because there's a lot there. But we're talking about racial healing in this segment. What do you say to Americans, people of color?" (at this point Holt Lester interrupts Trump and finishes his assault- it doesn't really matter what you say when you're drilled on this for several minutes straight while Hilary is smiling and laughing in comfort, so much for debating)
  25. ⦁ TO Hilary#4: "Secretary Clinton?" (that's all he said transitioning to Hilary about "race relations," very soft way to hand the ball over with no spin. Notice how he does not ask Hilary Clinton about her involvement in the Birther issue despite numerous claims that she started it in her 2008 campaign against President Obama, nor is Trump's statement about Hilary releasing pictures of Obama in a Muslim-garb given address. clean hitjob. damage Trump, shift to Clinton, switch topic immediately after.)
  26. ⦁ TO BOTH #4: "Our next segment is called "Securing America." We want to start with a 21st century war happening every day in this country. Our institutions are under cyber attack, and our secrets are being stolen. So my question is, who's behind it? And how do we fight it?" (they finally get to one of Trump's strongest positions, National Security and Terrorism, and they begin with an opening dedicated to "cyber attack" and "cyber warfare" which fits perfectly into the Hilary Clinton agenda and sets her up to use the "Trump called Russia to hack Americans!" line, which she did. the entire thing is dirty play. The moderator hijacked one of Trump's strongest policy issues, avoided the meat of the question, and handed the perfect setup to Hilary all in one)
  27. ⦁ TO TRUMP #11: "You mention ISIS, and we think of ISIS certainly as over there, but there are American citizens who have been inspired to commit acts of terror on American soil, the latest incident, of course, the bombings we just saw in New York and New Jersey, the knife attack at a mall in Minnesota, in the last year, deadly attacks in San Bernardino and Orlando. I'll ask this to both of you. Tell us specifically how you would prevent homegrown attacks by American citizens, Mr. Trump?" (since Trump brings up "Radical Islamic Terrorism" himself he finally presents a fair and balanced question, possibly one of his only exclusive questions made to Trump during the entire debate)
  28. ⦁ TO Hilary #5: "Secretary Clinton?" (again, handing it over nice and easy)
  29. ⦁ TO TRUMP #12: "Mr. Trump, a lot of these are judgment questions. You had supported the war in Iraq before the invasion. What makes your... In 2002... (Trump objects, "I did not support the war in Iraq")... My question is, since you supported (the Iraq War)... (Trump objects against)... The record shows otherwise, but why -- why was... (Trump objects again)... Why is your judgment better than... (Hilary)?" (again Holt Lester shows his clear bias against Trump as he- for the third time now- clearly and aggressively attacks Trump, first with the "Stop-and-frisk was ruled unconstitutional" lie that he pushed, second with the Birther hachet job, third with continually attacking Trump for supporting the Iraq War... disgraceful)
  30. ⦁ TO TRUMP #13: "My reference was to what you had said in 2002, and my question was: Why is your judgment -- why is your judgment any different than Mrs. Clinton's judgment?" (instead of asking Hilary about her voting for the War in Iraq he takes that question and forms it into an attack against Trump, trying to force him into a no-win situation)
  31. ⦁ TO Hilary #6: "Secretary Clinton?" (wew lads)
  32. ⦁ TO BOTH #5: "Which leads to my next question, as we enter our last segment here about the subject of securing America. On nuclear weapons, President Obama reportedly considered changing the nation's longstanding policy on first use. Do you support the current policy?" (asking "do you support Obama?" fits neatly into the leftist narrative, notice how not one question has had a neutral or objective slant to it throughout the entire debate)
  33. ⦁ TO TRUMP #14: "Mr. Trump, this year Secretary Clinton became the first woman nominated for president by a major party. Earlier this month, you said she doesn't have, quote, "a presidential look." She's standing here right now. What did you mean by that? ...The quote was, "I just don't think she has the presidential look."" (consistently implying Trump was racist wasn't enough, they chose this topic to pivot into calling Trump a sexist and smearing his character on the debate platform)
  34. ⦁ TO BOTH #6: "One of you will not win this election. So my final question to you tonight, are you willing to accept the outcome as the will of the voters?" (oh look, a fair closing topic for both parties... seems legitimate so far---)
  35. ⦁ TO TRUMP #15: "Will you accept the outcome of the election?" (he added this to Trump when it was his turn but didn't say it to Hilary... hmmm... really makes me think.....)
  36.
  37. Trump was asked 15 exclusive questions.
  38. Hilary was asked 2 exclusive questions.
  39.
  40. Let that sink in for a moment.
  41.
  42. All questions were designed to be handed to her on a silver platter ("Trump finally mentioned the emails, would you like to respond?" and "Do you believe that police are implicitly biased against black people?") The rest of the replies to Hilary Clinton were respectful and easy "Secretary Clinton?" transitions instead of the skewered questions Holt Lester consistently spun against Trump.
  43.
  44. Holt came out as ruthless against Donald while never stopping to ask about Benghazi, Lybia, Syria, Hilary's vote or involvement in the War in Iraq, any of Bill Clinton's charges of sexual assault and rape (and her alledged involvement in covering it up), NAFTA, the TPP, Illegal Immigration, the Wall, Hilary's record accepting foreign donations from Saudi Arabia through the Clinton Foundation, etc., etc., almost all of which were mentioned by Trump during the debate but were never given attention like Lester did to him. Holt had an agenda and he followed through.
  45.
  46. This 1v1 debate was a lie. It was 2v1 and almost painstakingly designed to shut Trump down and stop his momentum. All of the questions were designed to push Trump off balance and keep him on the defensive while they leveled false claims and attributed lies to Trump's account, thus forcing him to eat up more time rebutting them that he could have used to discuss his policy issues or legitimate issues for our country. This was a hatchet job and Mr. Holt Lester should be ashamed of himself.
  47.
  48. Before the debates the left was crying that Mr. Holt Lester would be bias in favor of Trump. Now that it has been proven that he is in fact bias against Trump in this sham of a debate, where is the same outrage they gave to Matt Lauer?
  49.
  50. I suspect you will find none.
