- Ritual
- aura of insight - a ritual which allows the priest to examine the aura of
- those nearby
- Description
- The priest sees the auras of the living beings about him or her and from the
- auras is able to ascertain to which God, if any, the being is dedicated.
- This can be particularly useful in avoiding harming those who share the same
- beliefs.
- Ritual
- awe and power - a ritual which first tries to blind the target and then
- rains down attacks upon them.
- Description
- The first part of this ritual has the potential to overcome the target with
- awe at the power of the Gods of the Archipelago. If the target is overcome
- then they are temporarily blinded. The second part is a demonstration of
- the power of the Gods of the Archipelago and can have devastating effects on
- the target.
- Ritual
- celestial healing - a ritual to heal those who are suffering from severe
- wounds
- Description
- The priest prays for the celestial strength to flow into his or her hands to
- enable the healing of severe wounds. A truly skilled priest is capable of
- channeling the power required to heal even mortal wounds.
- Ritual
- deific clemency - removes the weakness which follows death
- Description
- The priest first thanks the Gods of the Archipelago for granting the target
- of the ritual the gift of new life and then asks for them to show their
- clemency by removing the lasting effects of the ordeal which the target
- suffered through dying. If successful, the target will regain their
- strength.
- Ritual
- determine slayer - a ritual to determine the slayer of a corpse
- Description
- The priest attempts to relive the last moments before death in order to
- ascertain the slayer. This can be a gruesome task if the death was a
- violent one.
- Ritual
- divine energy - a ritual to renew energy in the target using energy
- previously stored by the priest
- Description
- Priests are able to store energy in a special amulet. This ritual releases
- that energy and directs it into the target. Due to the personal nature of
- the energy stored, this ritual is more effective when used by the priest on
- him or herself.
- Ritual
- divine healing - a ritual to heal those who are quite badly wounded
- Description
- The priest asks the Gods to grant the power to heal the target's wounds. If
- successful the power flows through the priest into the" injured body, where
- it is felt like a glow of warmth as it performs the healing.
- Ritual
- divine retribution - brings down the wrath of the Gods on the priest's
- attackers
- Description
- A priest who is being attacked may implore the Gods and Goddesses of the
- Archipelago to inflict their divine retribution on the priest's attackers.
- If the Gods and Goddesses chose to aid the priest they will strike down the
- priest's opponents with bolts of holy power.
- Ritual
- heavenly light - a ritual to fill the target with a heavenly light
- Description
- The priest beseeches the Gods of the Archipelago to spare a little of the
- light of the heavens to the target of the ritual. If successful, the target
- will shine with a heavenly light.
- Ritual
- heavenly peace - a ritual to impart the peace of heaven to those in the
- vicinity of the priest
- Description
- The priest asks the Gods of the Archipelago to impart their peace into those
- in the priest's immediate vicinity. If successful this stops the target
- from fighting. The more people there are fighting the greater the skill
- required to stop the combat.
- Ritual
- heavenly wrath - calls down the wrath of the Gods on your opponent
- Description
- The priest prays to the Gods of the Archipelago to come to his or her aid.
- If the Gods (and Goddesses) decide to grant the prayer, their wrath smites
- the opponent. The form in which the prayer is answered depends upon the
- priest's chosen deity (if any).
- Description
- This ritual is often used by lower skilled priests as it is relatively easy
- to perform whilst under the pressure of combat. However, it has only
- limited effect due to the low level of faith required to perform it
- successfully.
- The priest borrows holy power from the Gods of the Archipelago and forms it
- into tiny bolts of lightning which are then thrown at the target.
- Ritual
- sanctuary - a ritual to give sanctuary from the cares of the world
- Description
- The priest implores the Gods to grant him or her sanctuary in a time of
- trouble. If successful they are removed from the physical world to a place
- of safety in the spiritual world until such a time as their spiritual energy
- is exhausted.
- Ritual
- shield of divinity - a divine shield which protects from harm
- Description
- This ritual calls upon the power of the Deities to form a protective barrier
- around the person who the ritual is performed on. Although not perfect, it
- helps to prevent the target from being harmed.
- Ritual
- shield of spirit - a simple shield of spirit
- Description
- This simple ritual calls upon the aid of the Gods of the Archipelago. If
- they decide to lend their protection then a shield of spirit is formed
- around the target, helping to protect the target from attacks upon it.
- Ritual
- spiritual healing - a ritual to perform minor healing
- Description
- This simple ritual channels the healing power of the Gods to perform minor
- healing on the target.
