PERSONALITY ❘ ahn joowon is known as a quiet boy. he generally keeps to himself and most people have to be the one to start convos with him. however, what they don't know is that he is bipolar. being bipolar really took a toll on him and how he acts. although joowon takes medication to help his disorder, he still experiences the effects. it’s common for him to experience mood swings, especially depending on his surroundings. a lot of the time he tries to keep his feelings to himself. it came be harder sometimes, but he's been able to manage fine. truthfully, he's rather insecure about being bipolar and doesn't want to affect others because of it. so, when he does experience mood swings he tries to avoid others and deal with it on his own. he's often stressed by this, but again, he tries to hide it. being quiet is just easier for him. although, he's very appreciative of his members. being bipolar is something that makes him unstable and just having them makes him feel better. just because he doesn't show it often he loves and cares for his members and other around him every day. he may be quiet, but he isn't cold (unless it's a mood swing). joowon is a very kind person and tries to always show that way. even though it may be a struggle for him usually, on stage is different. on stage, he just has a boost of confidence. to fans is mainly known as anjo, a lively fanservice king. someone who loves to interact with fans and cater to them. and it's all true, he loves their fans. they're one of the biggest joys in life for him. of course, fans do know of his quietness and are even fond of it. which also makes him feel slightly better. they may not know he's bipolar, but the fact that they accept him, either way, makes him glad to be where he is.

BACKGROUND ❘ joowon was born in busan, south korea. now, of course, no one had known yet. but, joowon was born with bipolar disorder. his grandfather who had past away before he was born, had also been diagnosed with this. leading through the blood line to joowon. it was was a shocking concept to his family, seeing as it skipped both his father and sister. but, he surely was bipolar. as a child, his bipolar disorder was much worse. he wasn't very close to his family because of his bipolar behavior. he would suddenly go into fits of rage and anger, and even aggression. now, as he grew he learned to cope with it and he hardly has these same tantrums. but, at the time it was horrible. he fought with his family, but mainly his sister. he hadn't ever been all too violent until one case, he had actually clawed his sister’s arm open. which led to the decision of medication. he was at the age of 7 at the time, and since has been on this medication. however, as time has gone he’s learned to cope with his disorder, which led to his quietness. over the years he's grown very distant to his family and didn't want to be around them to avoid causing them trouble. because, even though he fought with his sister often, he deeply cared for her. he's often inflicted with sadness with just the thought of her name and automatically goes mute and tries to be alone.

HOW THEY MET ❘ met originally at auditions and it was real awkward. however, they really didn't start talking until they were trainees together. although, they actually never talked much due to joowon's quietness. which was significantly stronger and more often at the time. he was really the main person joowon talked to if anyone before their group.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ❘
    ➠ JOOWON ≡ the very first time they met joowon had tried to keep to himself, at the auditions. but, once they were trainees and he actually got a good take on him, it was almost like he was star struck. joowon wasn't a big people person per say, but this was different for him. his emotions usually clouded his thought, but his urge to actually talk to this boy was stronger. he was surprised to later learn about his past/disorder and it made him basically feel guilty. like joowon shouldn't cut himself off so tightly when there are other people with struggles.

    ➠ LOVE INTEREST ≡ hadn't really expected him to be so quiet, let alone bipolar. however, understands from his own past/disorder. he was kinda confused as in why he was so quiet, like almost mute. though, he kind of found it cute. overall, he saw that joowon was basically a softie and wanted to become close.


HOW THEY ACT AROUND EACH OTHER ❘
    ➠ JOOWON ≡ surprising still quiet around him, but mainly due to the fact he doesn't know how to express himself while around him. but, it was often he found himself with him more. he'd like to think he was close to all members, some more than others. but, originally he hadn't been one of them. so when joowon started talking more with them, it was kinda shocking to everyone. some obviously pick up that he must have feelings and it kinda puts him on edge. like he doesn't really know what it's like to like someone. so he automatically tries to go back to being really shutoff, but it's hard. like his mind just becomes clearer with them and it's just soothing to be with them.

    ➠ LOVE INTEREST ≡ joowon's lowkey #1 supporter like he always keeps him on his radar. whether he doesn't show it or he does, he cares for him. at the same time, enjoys messing and teasing joowon. almost feels like he should be the one to push him to speak out more, yet he would also yell at someone for making joowon do the exact same thing. for the majority, they act like themselves and don't find it hard to expressing their self around joowon.
