  1. Unraveling the mystery of the Elder Ones is beyond every human being’s comprehension, even to many gods they are impossible to discern.
  2.
  3. It is human nature to long for knowledge. Curiosity is a deadlier vice than most make it up to be. Like moth to a flame, the Lovecrafts had a peek into the Great Old Ones’ origin. What Howard didn’t know is that he doomed his bloodline unto an eternal descent.
  4.
  5. History didn’t write the Lovecraft family’s truth, merely showing the surface of it then piling a lot of public explanation and wild rumors on top of it. Howard wasn’t just a crazy author; he was a Magus, the Grand Magus of their generation even. The Necronomicon isn’t just a title for a fictional spellbook, it is an actual grimoire that holds a cosmological amount of power. But for this story, the most important lie to tackle about is Howard and Sonia’s relationship. Yes, they did have a divorce, but no, the Lovecraft lineage did not end there.
  6.
  7. Florence Alexander Lovecraft was raised in secret of Sonia’s new husband in California. While she was a terrible mother for him, she did her best to keep him out of Howard’s work. She taught him the basics of sorcery for self-defense. It was futile, all of it. The inevitable happened. It wasn’t necessary, but they came to Sonia at her weakest. From thereon, Florence ran from the darkness that loomed, but aggravating the Great Old Ones only feeds their sadistic ways.
  8.
  9. One cannot know true despair without hope. For many years Florence thought he was free, only to be visited after he had finally have a family to call his own. He had a son named Lucas. This child knew nothing of magic, and just as Florence’s mother wished of him, he wanted his son to be free from all of these. He knew that there was no running.
  10.
  11. In clear desperation, Florence sought out his father’s work. He learned what he can in the short amount of time, but also discovered that Howard transferred the Necronomicon to him on the day he was born. Still, it wasn’t enough. To protect Lucas, Florence gave him the Necronomicon then asked a family friend to look after him. What happened to him after is a mystery.
