[2014-11-14 21:57:35]* DJ_Steel_Focus The group has arrived at Las Pegasus, gliding into town late a few nights ago in a swank tour buss provided by the Events cordinators. there arrival timed well to see the bright neon that light up the city, Bright lights shining through the clouds above them. They have spent the last few days in the lap of luxury in there pent house accomidations along side other teams in the Bellagio hotel.
  3. [2014-11-14 21:58:32]* DJ_Steel_Focus While possibly a bit disturbing for land creatures at first the city is mostly safe thanks to the heavy use of Cloud stone and steel constructions to allow for firm non cloud construction throughout the floating city
  4. [2014-11-14 22:00:08]* DJ_Steel_Focus Today is the day of the first round, Team Menagerie is awaiting to hear the line up in the locker room at the Bellagio Casinos large indoors Stadium. This first dungeon level will be run for two days, the top two teams each day will be allowed into the final days dungeon.

Quick bit has only just recently left to take a box seat to watch the performance, any moment now you will find out who will be first blood, who will set the standard for the day, and who will be the first subjects to the new DJ to test his skills

  11. [2014-11-14 22:11:48]* Grwn does some pull-ups to get warmed up. The cameras don't bother him in the least as he keeps at it. "You know, being a DJ's first victims would be pretty lame so I'm not doing that."
  12. [2014-11-14 22:12:54]* Meryl huddles near her team as the camera ponies come there way "Oh that, we like a challenge. And it lets us see some up and coming DJ's. Got to give them the best to get the best."

Dispite loosing half of your force for this trot and playing with a new team mate its good to see you have such high spirits!"

  17. [2014-11-14 22:20:22]<Grwn> "Yeah!" Grwn flaps his wings and lands back on the floor.
  18. [2014-11-14 22:22:45]* DJ_Steel_Focus floats the microphone over to Breaking Dawn, "And what dose the newest addition to the Menagerie have to say about todays trot? Eager to prove yourself to your teammates and demonstrate what your house is capable of?"
  19. [2014-11-14 22:24:30]<Breaking> "Of course. I intend to show the world what an individual descended from a Godess can do."
  20. [2014-11-14 22:25:45]* DJ_Steel_Focus looks at her watch, "Well im sure we can all look forward to that then, in any case it looks like its time for the first team to be anounced. Good luck out there!", the mare steps away as the camera swivels intead to look at a judge who has steped into the room with a scroll at the ready, tucked between his wings.
  21. [2014-11-14 22:27:00]* DJ_Steel_Focus pulling out the scroll he reads off the order for todays event, "First up, The menageri, followed by the Dune Storms, the Mod Squad, Rank N'Filers, and finaly the Blitzers. Would the first team please acompany me?"
  22. [2014-11-14 22:27:20]* DJ_Steel_Focus he turns and starts to trot down the long hall he had arrived in leading to the indoor stadium.
  23. [2014-11-14 22:31:13]* Meryl slips on her helm "Looks like it game time." she said as she follows
  24. [2014-11-14 22:33:44]* Grwn moves towards the hallway. "Let's do this!" He glances back at Breaking. "Try not to die too much."
  25. [2014-11-14 22:37:05]<Breaking> "I would be more concerned about the team members who cannot move with but a single thought."

[2014-11-14 22:40:08]<DJ_Steel_Focus> me the hall echos with each hoof and tallon fall till you reach a set of double doors, the judge stops here and nods, "Ok this is it, step up to the ring and have a seat. DJ Steel will be on in a moment, dont mind the flash to much and smile for the camera". Opeing the door your presented with a suprisingly small staduium, completely indoors with seating surrounding a boxing ring.

  28. [2014-11-14 22:41:05]* DJ_Steel_Focus in the boxing ring are two rows of comfey looking seats, around the room flash bulbs are going of and you can hear chearing.... though surpisingly little for a XTrot event.

  30. [2014-11-14 22:42:42]* Meryl moves to the ring slowly "This dosen't seem right."
  31. [2014-11-14 22:43:19]<Breaking> "I concur."
  32. [2014-11-14 22:44:14]* DJ_Steel_Focus the Ring awaits as a screen lowers across from the seats, the interior of ring now looking more like a private movie theater
  33. [2014-11-14 22:44:57]* Meryl looks over to Grwn "This looks like it right up your ally, don't you think?"
  34. [2014-11-14 22:46:23]* DJ_Steel_Focus a pair of stage hooves move to the ring and hold open the ropes for the team to enter when they are ready
  35. [2014-11-14 22:48:32]* Meryl sighs and flaps to the air over the ring ropes, landing off to a side. Looking around for the DJ whos not there.
  36. [2014-11-14 22:48:32]<Grwn> "If we don't get to it soon, I'm gonna start breaking stuff." He says to Meryl. "But we are gonna wake these guy up."
  37. [2014-11-14 22:49:24]* DJ_Steel_Focus the crowd calms down and muttering starts as they wait for things to begin

  45. [2014-11-14 22:53:12]* DJ_Steel_Focus on screen is a pegasus beyond burrly, he is massive. His coat is a pure white, On his head is a rounded helmet with red, white, and blue stripes adorned with golden stars. "CONGRADULATIONS INEED!", his voice is deafeningly lound, blasted from speakers around the stadium

  47. [2014-11-14 22:56:09]* DJ_Steel_Focus Steel focus leans into his camera, "POPCORN? HA!!!". Leaning back he pulls out his own back of popcorn, "THAT LAUGHER WAS FACETIOUS! POP CORN IS FOR FANS ONLY!!! NO POPCORN IN MY CRAWL! NOW SIT DOOOOOOOOOWN!"

AND WHILE KILLER FURNITURE IS SOMETHING I OWN MYSLEF TO KEEP MY REFLEXES HONED TO A RAZOR LIKE EDGE AND WOULD BE COMPLETELY BADD ASS I HAVE SOMETHING ELLS, EVEN MORE BADASS IN STORE FOR YOU AND THE CROWD!!!"

  55. [2014-11-14 23:07:34]* DJ_Steel_Focus a automatic sensor bleeps out the first portion of Steels reply, "F**K YA WE ARE TALKING! NOW IF YOUR FRIENDS WOULD SIT DOWN I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THE LAST NINE MONTHS TO UNLEASH MY VISION OF BAD-ASSITUDE ON THE WORLD! YOU READY TO HELP MAKE THAT DREAM A REALITY?!?!"
  56. [2014-11-14 23:10:16]* DJ_Steel_Focus a mainly tear forms in the corner of his eye, if a tear could have pecks this one certainly would, complete with chest hair so thick you need a chainsaw to thin it out, "COME ON, LETS GIVE THE CROWD WHAT THEY WANT!"
  57. [2014-11-14 23:13:35]* Meryl leans back in the seat "So are we going to do something or we just going to sit here as you bore us to death?"
  58. [2014-11-14 23:16:35]* DJ_Steel_Focus "YOUR DEATH WILL BE MUCH MORE EXCITING! YOU DONT GET TO DIE THAT WAY IN MY TROT, ITS NOT ALLOWED! YOU SIGHNED PAPERS, I HAVE COPIES!". as he sucks in breath for his next blast of dialogue unseen bars rise up behind your seats and pin you down in place, similar to what you would see on a roller coster, slaming into place with a clank.
  59. [2014-11-14 23:17:36]* DJ_Steel_Focus "YOU CAMET TO LOS PEGASUS FOR A CHALLENGE AND THAT IS WHAT STEEL FOCUS IS GOING TO GIVE YOU, PROVIDED YOU CAN MAKE IT BACK TO LOS PEGASUS!!!"
  60. [2014-11-14 23:19:03]* Meryl claws at the bar "FUCK" she yells "I said this smell, and now we'er in the shit right now."
  61. [2014-11-14 23:19:08]* Grwn looks around. "Whuh? We are here."
  62. [2014-11-14 23:20:31]<Breaking> "Relax, a straight plunge to our deaths would be anti-climactic and uninspired. We'll be fine."
  63. [2014-11-14 23:20:55]* DJ_Steel_Focus rawrs with laughter, "YOU MEAN YOU ARE HEAR FOR NOW! BUT NOT FOR LONG. STEEL FOCUS IS GOING TO LEARN YOU SOME THINGS ABOUT ROCKET SLEDS!!!"
  64. [2014-11-14 23:21:10]* DJ_Steel_Focus the guards steap away from teh front of the ring which starts to shake
  65. [2014-11-14 23:21:35]* DJ_Steel_Focus "FIRST OF ALL: THERE F**KING ROCKET SLEDS!!!!! WHAT ELLS DO YOU NEED TO KNOW!?!?! GOOD LUCK!!!"
  66. [2014-11-14 23:23:31]* DJ_Steel_Focus the crack of light in front of you grows as the ring starts pushing forwards, a loud rawr of sound coming from below as the stage builds up speed. Building momentum it crashes through what is now obviously a break away wall, giving you a brilliant view of the cloud city of Los pegasus.... along with the rail you are on, which is plummeting downwards.
  67. [2014-11-14 23:24:58]* DJ_Steel_Focus the Boxing ring picks up amazing speeds as the colors blur around you, your tilt downwards barely registering as you are blasted out of the city!
  68. [2014-11-14 23:26:04]* DJ_Steel_Focus plummeting downwards you eventually level out before hitting the ground and barrel at top speeds to a large outdoor stadium that seems to have been lowered to grown level from teh city itself. the sound of massive crowds can just barely be heard over the sleds rockets
  69. [2014-11-14 23:27:36]<Grwn> "I'm glad I didn't have popcorn!" He shouts, pressed against the seat by the ludicrous speed
  70. [2014-11-14 23:28:25]* Breaking says nothing, but the coat around his face takes on a distinct greenish tint.
  71. [2014-11-14 23:30:03]* Meryl still clawing at the bar to get free as the ring sets off down the rails 'Fuuuucccckkkk' was all that was any one could make out from her as she was speeded off to the stadium below
  72. [2014-11-14 23:30:15]<Breaking> The second the sled comes to a halt, /me procedes to vomit
  73. [2014-11-14 23:31:12]* Grwn raise his talons. "Woooo!!!"
  74. [2014-11-14 23:31:14]<Breaking> into the bag given by Meryl.
  75. [2014-11-14 23:31:23]* DJ_Steel_Focus the slead dose indeed eventually slow down, the roar dieing beneath you as it catches some sort of break on the rail that slows it down. Gliding into the stadium large steel doors close behind you as teh boxing ring slams to a sudden stop in a short coridor before a large room.
  76. [2014-11-14 23:32:02]* Breaking vomits right when the sled stops.
  77. [2014-11-14 23:32:57]* DJ_Steel_Focus the ring is mostly destroyed with canvas floor having riped off at the high speeds to show off the quad-rocket engines beneath you. somehow the ropes are still standing though. Next to the rink is a small set of steps leading down, also a rack of vomet bags, along with a waiting bowl of popcorn.

[2014-11-14 23:34:08]* DJ_Steel_Focus voice rings out, sounding a little put out at first, "LEGAL HAS INFORMED ME THAT DUE TO ADVERTISMENT AGREEMENTS I AM IN FACT NOT ALLOWED TO DENY YOU POPCORN, I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT, BUT NOT AS MUCH AS YOU ENJOYED MY AWESOME ROCKET SLED! WELCOME TO THE TROT!!!"
  79. [2014-11-14 23:34:25]<Breaking> A moment later, Breaking's horn flashes lavender as evidence of his vomiting episode subsides.
  80. [2014-11-14 23:34:53]<Breaking> "See, I told you we'd be fine."
  81. [2014-11-14 23:35:48]* Grwn catches his breath and stretches. He sights the popcorn bag. "Oh, cool!" He pounces the popcorn bag. "I like this guy. Do you think we get a photo at the end of the ride?"

[2014-11-14 23:36:15]* DJ_Steel_Focus the floor of the coridore you have stoped in is pure sand, probably the natural floor of the Neighvada landscape. the walls are tall and imposing sandstone with cameras mounted at various angles to capture your image. above you are stands of x trot fans watching your every move.
  83. [2014-11-14 23:37:33]* Meryl pulls herself from the seat the momment the bar unlocks "This is not good start."
  84. [2014-11-14 23:37:51]<Breaking> "Think it might be possible," gesturing to the many cameras currently recording the group.
  85. [2014-11-14 23:38:35]* DJ_Steel_Focus Meryls horse is lead in by a non combatant stage hand from a no-go door
  86. [2014-11-14 23:39:37]* Grwn munches on some popcorns. "What are you talking about Meryl? This is great!" He looks around on the room. "Now what do I beat up?"
  87. [2014-11-14 23:40:42]* Meryl see's her mount then brightens up a bit "Oh there you are," takeing to wing to land next to him "I tought you where going to miss out." rubbing a paw along his side
  88. [2014-11-14 23:41:09]<Breaking> "Separation anxiety. much?"
  89. [2014-11-14 23:43:50]<Grwn> "More like being normal. You wouldn't know what that is like." He offers half a bag of popcorn to the prissy pony. "Pòpcorn?"
  90. [2014-11-14 23:44:05]* DJ_Steel_Focus the room beyond the hall is a massive circular arena style area, complete with three other halls ending in portcullises blocking your advancment. In the center of the room is a raised platform with some device gleaming brightly in the sun waiting for you, around the room are masvie pipes ending in closed steel caps.
  91. [2014-11-14 23:45:41]* Meryl ignores Breaking's comment and mounts her steed "Ok now lets do this thing." truning him to face the stadium
  92. [2014-11-14 23:45:44]* DJ_Steel_Focus Grwn Can spot that the device in the center of the room is a large slot machine, the one armed bandit sits proudly in the center of the platform with a single stool in front of it.
  93. [2014-11-14 23:47:36]<Grwn> "What's up with that?" Grwn flies towards the slot machine.
  94. [2014-11-14 23:47:53]<Breaking> "Give me a second."
  95. [2014-11-14 23:48:12]<Breaking> "And don't touch anything until I say so."
  96. [2014-11-14 23:49:46]* Meryl spurs her mount to the slot machine "Oh just give it a try Grwn, whats the most that can happen. Some monster comes out."
  97. [2014-11-14 23:52:03]* DJ_Steel_Focus a single coin sits on the bright red bar stool next to the slot machine, on it is a symble for an egal, a simble that is matched by one of the massive portcullises, the one to the south.
  98. [2014-11-14 23:53:23]<DJ_Steel_Focus> the other portcullises are adorned with a Badger, and Dragon
  99. [2014-11-14 23:54:02]<Grwn> "Oh yeah! I'm itching for a fight here!" He takes inserts the coin on the same animal slot and pulls the arm.

[2014-11-14 23:58:33]* DJ_Steel_Focus the arm comes down with a clink as the three wheels start to spin before you. the crowd cheers as one by one they come to a stop, lineing up three sets of cartoon pictures of scoripions. The machine rings out a jolly tune as the pipes start to rumble, there lids opening as the echoed sound of pincers and large insect legs can be heard climbing the pipe
  101. [2014-11-15 00:00:14]* Meryl sets her lance "We sound like its bugs on the menu."
  102. [2014-11-15 00:02:00]* Grwn is distracted by the pretty lights of the machine. "Huh?"
  103. [2014-11-15 00:06:17]* DJ_Steel_Focus after a few short moments four Giant Scorpions spill out of the pipes into the areana, venom dripping from there stingers and pincerse clacking as they seak out prey
  104. [2014-11-15 00:06:47]* DJ_Steel_Focus noteably, they are also painted with raicing stripes, stars, and other eye catching paterns. they do not seem excited about this
  105. [2014-11-15 00:07:50]* DJ_Steel_Focus voice booms over the dungeons speekers, "THOSE SCORIPIONS LOOK PATICULARLY AWESOME!"
  106. [2014-11-15 00:08:26]<Breaking> "I'm not sure the scorpions feel that way."
  107. [2014-11-15 00:11:13]* Meryl charges at one of the not so excited scoripions
  108. [2014-11-15 00:15:53]* DJ_Steel_Focus Meryl chrages forward and impales the massive creature on her lance, it screeches with pain and rage as green ichor poors from its wound
  109. [2014-11-15 00:18:46]* Breaking concentrates as his horn begins to glow with a golden light.
  110. [2014-11-15 00:19:59]<Breaking> A tiny dragon flies out of his horn, circles around Meryl a couple of times, and then explodes in a small puff of flame right above the wounded scorpion.
  111. [2014-11-15 00:20:19]<Breaking> It seems to have gone a tad too high.
  112. [2014-11-15 00:24:25]<Grwn> "Alright you land seafood, it's time to crack your shells!" Grwn flies to the 2nd scorpion, talons open to take hold of them.
  113. [2014-11-15 00:29:21]* Grwn takes hold of the giant creature's claw. "You're mine now!"
  114. [2014-11-15 00:36:52]<DJ_Steel_Focus> two of the giant insects move towards the bright flashing target that is Breaking dawn, the closest one reaching him and attacking
  115. [2014-11-15 00:37:13]* DJ_Steel_Focus pincers reach out for the unicorn
  116. [2014-11-15 00:38:11]* DJ_Steel_Focus reaching out with its pony sized claws it crushes Dawn in its grasp and lifts him into the air
  117. [2014-11-15 00:38:31]<DJ_Steel_Focus> The one stuck by Meryl tries the same
  118. [2014-11-15 00:39:29]* DJ_Steel_Focus Meryl is likewise grabed and lifted off her hourse,
  119. [2014-11-15 00:40:06]* DJ_Steel_Focus the one being grappled by Grwn is unable to reach as its pincers are being held against its body, instead it brings down its own tail at the Griffon
  120. [2014-11-15 00:40:45]* DJ_Steel_Focus it misses intirely and its barbed tail strikes against the sandy ground.
  121. [2014-11-15 00:44:22]* Meryl from the grasp of the scorpion's pincer she staps at it with her lance
  122. [2014-11-15 00:46:12]* DJ_Steel_Focus is being jerked around in the air and misses witha wild thrust
  123. [2014-11-15 00:51:17]* DJ_Steel_Focus Meryls fatefull mount bucks at the massive creature clutching its rider.
  124. [2014-11-15 00:51:18]* Meryl mount bits and kicks into the best
  125. [2014-11-15 00:51:25]<Meryl> beast*
  126. [2014-11-15 00:58:09]* Breaking focuses through the pain, his horn flashing twice in rapid succession.
  127. [2014-11-15 00:58:36]* Breaking disapears and reappears in an instant.
  128. [2014-11-15 00:59:16]<Breaking> A snapdragon spiraling straight towards scorpion 3's claw
