  3. -----------
  4. Star Dust Quest will generally be held every weekend. I will try to aim for Sundays or Saturdays.
  5.
  6. This will be narrative-driven with a simple dice scheme for combat/action sequences. I will give options on the actions that are to happen, and readers are free to choose and vote for one to happen next.
  7.
  8. Generally for choices, I will pick with the following priority:
  9. Popularity > First-Come-First-Serve > My Discretion
  10.
  11. If you want to know any more about the lore, just let me know in the threads. Gavin will look it up on his smart-ring, and I'll act as the internet by giving you a new entry to the lore database if it isn't there already.
  12.
  13. I am not really against smut, but I will not write it for this quest. I won't stop romance and smut from happening, but I will only imply that a smut scene had/will happen as opposed to actually writing it. This is just to preserve the integrity of the quest as well as to not get us on the bad side of the mods.

  16. Store Purchasing\Selling
  17. ------------------------
  18. When it comes to store purchasing, there will be a lot of options to choose from. There would probably be a lot of unique inputs from readers, so I will just take any trend that seems to happen. If not, I will pick on a first-come-first-serve basis and/or just what feels what everybody would be okay with. After compiling a reasonable list of items to be purchased, I will post a confirmation post to see if anybody disagrees with the summed up choices.
  19.
  20. Grenades come in crates; one purchase gives you 15 of that grenade.
  21.
  22. You can sell items to a store for 1/5th the price, if they accept the item. You can ask me in the thread how many credits you get from a certain item.
  23.
  24. ---------
  25. Write-Ins
  26. ---------
  27. Although I will not always include the option to write-in, I am generally okay with write-ins for anything.
  28.
  29. ----------
  30. Dice Rolls
  31. ----------
  32. Combat and action sequences will often be accompanied dice rolls. After an action option has been decided, I will ask players to roll a 1d100. I will take the first 3 rolls and determine the pass/fail in a best-of-three basis. If at least one of the two pass/fails are a crit, then the action is a crit.
  33.
  34. The numbers are as follows:
  35.
  36. 00-04: Critical Failure
  37. 05-49: Failure
  38. 50-95: Pass
  39. 96-100: Critical Pass
  40.
  41. Sometimes I will add modifiers to the rolls, like when you use an ability that enhances your aim. I will state that you get something like a "+10" to your next shooting action, which means that a pass can now be a 40 instead of a 50. These do not affect the critical thresholds however, unless stated.
  42.
  43. I try to be optimistic, so take this with a grain of salt.
