Copycat can pinpoint her location, and then Noble Heart or I could teleport somepony there with a really big bomb, then teleport out."

"That... that makes sense, Mare-Do-Well. A... fire ship could make a good distraction, but if the leviathan is that well armed then the /Rainbow/ will be knocked out of the sky before it even gets close."

Get Lost, yer' on radio duties, keep an eye on what they're doing.

  21. [2015-05-13 13:28:51] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream plates the food, one in particular left in front of the door where they keep the prisoner on a towel without any dishware. She wasn't going to give her any sharp things. She then sits back down on the chow halls, takes a bite, nods, then points at her head.

  24. [2015-05-13 13:29:17] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream slumps a little. "No point goin' int' th' breach again on a empty stomach."
  25. [2015-05-13 13:29:24] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream looks up at Mare-Do-Well. "Alright, go fer' it."
  26. [2015-05-13 13:29:33] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mare-Do-Well smiles. "You're amazing, Golden_Dream!" she says in awe. Then jumps in...

  31. [2015-05-13 13:35:20] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Imperials are changing frequencies now on a regular basis to avoid any repeats of the earlier disruptions.
  32. [2015-05-13 13:37:21] * CopyCat takes another delicious bite of Golden_Dream's cooking and then floats a bit up for her adopted pet zebra to try. "This is wonderful, Goldie!"
  33. [2015-05-13 13:42:31] * Bookwright chews thoughtfully. "This is really tasty. But I can't help but feel a little bit like I'm eating my last meal. This plan is super dangerous."
  34. [2015-05-13 13:45:28] * Get_Lost chases them for a while, trying to see if there's a pattern on the procedure... maybe it will come handy later, still, it' more she does for personal amusement rather than real need
  35. [2015-05-13 13:45:41] * Get_Lost them, as the changing frequencies
  36. [2015-05-13 13:48:15] <Mare-Do-Well> 3After a while, a pattern begins to emerge. There is a variable that Get_Lost hasn't figured out yet, but she's soon able to predict the next frequency they jump to two times out of three.

  39. [2015-05-13 13:51:17] * CopyCat waves the delicious hot food beneath their captive zebra's nose. "Say 'aww'," she tells the mare, ignoring all language barriers.

  41. [2015-05-13 13:56:24] * Shatara watches CopyCat feed the stripeypone quietly.
  42. [2015-05-13 13:59:48] * Get_Lost listens to the pirates transmission too, here and there, just to check how they are doing
  43. [2015-05-13 14:01:48] * Get_Lost mumbles a song while playing with the radio "manticore tails and cyborg blues, prophets of doom, they sprea bad news..."
  44. [2015-05-13 14:03:31] * CopyCat boops the food into the zebra's nose. *Boop* She tilts her head, then turns to Shatara. "Am I doing this wrong? I was sure I'd seen zebras eating like we do."
  45. [2015-05-13 14:04:26] * Bookwright "Whatever it is you're doing, it's almost certainly wrong. You need to make airship noises."

  47. [2015-05-13 14:06:36] * Bookwright demonstrates. "Here comes the airship for landing! VVVRRRRRRRRRRRR"
  48. [2015-05-13 14:09:55] * CopyCat makes airship noises as she floats the morsel of food around. "VVVRRRRRRRRRRRR"
  49. [2015-05-13 14:21:10] * CopyCat VVVRRRRRRRRRRRR's, and then boops the food on the zebra's nose again. *Boop*
  50. [2015-05-13 14:22:45] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The zebra looks crosseyed for a moment, then scoots back. She seems to be assessing her situation. This is not how she expects pirates to behave. But then, pirates aren't giant winged unicorn ponies either.
  51. [2015-05-13 14:22:55] <Golden_Dream> ACTION looks at the prisoner and notes that she isn't eating. When folks don't like her food, that's fine. When folks won't eat her food because of a full stomach or dietary reasons, that's fine. When they're not eating something out of sheer bullheadedness, that's when she gets pissed. She watches the zebra for a moment, then leaves to bother Get. "Hey, Get. I need t' borrow a funnel, some tubing, and yer' choice of a call t' Mwana

  53. [2015-05-13 14:23:48] * Get_Lost raises her head from the radio "want me to install a feeding tube in her chest?"
  54. [2015-05-13 14:23:51] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Her eyes light up. Golden_Dream's cooking is *good*.
  55. [2015-05-13 14:24:29] * Bookwright 's eyes widen. "Woah woah woah, we don't need to do the force feeding thing. She's eating. Calm down."
  56. [2015-05-13 14:25:16] * Get_Lost "aw, i am never allowed to make cybermonstrosities..."
  57. [2015-05-13 14:26:17] * CopyCat beams at the zebra. "That's better." She takes another bite herself, then offers more to their captive.
  58. [2015-05-13 14:28:52] * CopyCat still makes airship noises, of course.
  59. [2015-05-13 14:31:03] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The zebra more readily allows herself to be fed, closing her eyes with each bite and deciding to enjoy the food and ignore the indignity.
  60. [2015-05-13 14:32:46] * Shatara mumbles and munches. "So when we gonna tell the stripeypone that everything she knows is a lie and her captain and probably emprah are evil bugpones?"
  61. [2015-05-13 14:33:06] * Get_Lost yawns, checking the radio "parlay, can you swoop above the ship and check if you can spot the warship? well, actually, whatever artificial airborn object you can see"
  62. [2015-05-13 14:38:42] * Bookwright "Do you think it would do any good? She's not liable to throw in with us. And we don't have any proof anyways... she exploded."
  63. [2015-05-13 14:43:13] * Golden_Dream comes in, looks at the zebra mare eating the food, and then stashing the tubing and funnel behind the door. "Let's do babysteps. Anyone got a postcard 'a what Equestria looks like nowadays?"
  64. [2015-05-13 14:44:51] * Bookwright shakes his head.
  65. [2015-05-13 14:45:57] * Mare-Do-Well 3appears near Get_Lost. "Took a look around. The heavy weapons airship is still pretty much where it was before. And I found the leviathan. I can show you were it's parked." She shakes her head. "Still no idea how it stays in the air. It has to be magic. But zebras don't do magic, except for necromancy. And it isn't that. I'd have felt it."
  66. [2015-05-13 14:50:49] * Golden_Dream slumps. "Then we might have t' do babier steps. I can think of three ways t' make her start talkin' about what we wanna know, th' Mom approach, Good pony Bad pony, and th' brute force approach.
  67. [2015-05-13 14:51:31] * Mare-Do-Well 3adds, "No matter how it stays up, I don't know how it's still flying. I remember those ships in their prime. This one looks like it's on it's last legs... so to speak." She sighs, "But then, most everything in this world looks like that."
  68. [2015-05-13 14:54:25] * Golden_Dream seems to stare off into the distance. And then she perks up. "Oh. OH! That's what th' lil' draconequis did, th' durned varmint!"
  69. [2015-05-13 14:57:07] * Get_Lost "well then, maybe it just needs a little push to fall down the cliff..."
  70. [2015-05-13 15:01:28] * Bookwright "Wait, what? What do you mean Golden?"
  71. [2015-05-13 15:02:55] * CopyCat giggles as she feeds herself and her zebra friend. She turns to her friends. "I liked him. He was fun and friendly!"
  72. [2015-05-13 15:03:46] * Bookwright "He was weird and creepy."
  73. [2015-05-13 15:08:55] * Golden_Dream groans. "I'm thinkin' th' reason he was around was t' make that airship what /shouldn't/ by any stretch fly be able t' fly."
  74. [2015-05-13 15:11:39] * Mare-Do-Well 3frowns flatly. "I hate those things."
  75. [2015-05-13 15:12:40] * Bookwright shakes his head. "I just thought he was a ship's spirit, a mascot... Certainly the little buggers are powerful enough to pull something like what Rainbow Dash is describing off, but... Why would it? It's a spirit of chaos, for crying out loud! They're not exactly known for being trustworthy. Why in the wide world of, er, Zebrica, would any shipwright tie up an airship's ability to not crash...

  77. [2015-05-13 15:14:34] * Golden_Dream shrugs. "Maybe they jus' didn't have much of a choice? It's a durned huge airship, maybe nothin' else they could summon fer th' price /could/ do it."
  78. [2015-05-13 15:16:19] * Mare-Do-Well 3adds, "I can't imagine any reason anyone would trust one of those far enough to throw it. Much less give it a tea party." Pause. "I mean, make it the ship's mascot."
  79. [2015-05-13 15:17:36] * Get_Lost "maybe there's something more behind it?"
  80. [2015-05-13 15:17:51] * Get_Lost "we could investigate..."
  81. [2015-05-13 15:18:30] * Golden_Dream lowers brow. "... How?"
  82. [2015-05-13 15:19:19] * Bookwright points at Rainbow Dash. "She could ask it."
  83. [2015-05-13 15:21:20] * Golden_Dream slowly blinks. "... Ask what?"
  84. [2015-05-13 15:22:02] * Bookwright "She could ask the Leviathan's ship spirit, the Drah-conny-kwis, how it stays up in the air."
  85. [2015-05-13 15:23:29] * Golden_Dream rolls her eyes. "Well, obviously it's a shit ton a' magic! What else-" She pauses. Her eyes widen in dawning realization. "... Ah'll be right back." She said, bolting over to the ship's hold.
  86. [2015-05-13 15:24:24] * Mare-Do-Well 3watches Golden_Dream go, wide-eyed. Then turns to Bookwright. "I'm a ghost, not a spirit."
  87. [2015-05-13 15:24:54] * Bookwright "Does that make a functional difference for the purposes of the outlined course of action?"
  88. [2015-05-13 15:26:43] * Get_Lost "i don't know, maybe there's a story behind it and... well... these zebras are probably being manipulated... you know that i don't really like killing... i'm just... hoping for a better outcome?"
  89. [2015-05-13 15:27:46] * Golden_Dream starts to head back to the party, holding a monstrosity of metal and glowy bits. "EmDeeDubbleyoo, this is a CRUX. You know what this is?"
  90. [2015-05-13 15:31:21] * Mare-Do-Well 3notes, "Ghosts and spirits don't really talk to each other."
  91. [2015-05-13 15:31:58] * Mare-Do-Well 3turns, her eyes widening. "Whoa. Yeah."
  92. [2015-05-13 15:33:16] * Mare-Do-Well 3adds after a beat, "That could work. Should work."
  93. [2015-05-13 15:36:42] * Golden_Dream gives the CRUX the gentlest of taps on an inert area. "Now, this here is a straight ace in th' hole. I only got th' one, and I ain't sure if this is really what we wanna be usin' on that airship. But I got it. So, if it's bein' run by fuel an' engines, great. But if it's bein' run by a spell matrix, this might be th' only thing we got that can crack it."
  94. [2015-05-13 15:37:43] * Bookwright looks mildly crestfallen at the revelation.
  95. [2015-05-13 15:37:46] * Get_Lost simply listens, has really no alternative plan to suggest
  96. [2015-05-13 15:40:04] * Golden_Dream gives the rest of the party a very grave, very serious look. "I don't know what will happen ahead. Maybe there's somethin' we would be better usin' this fer', like th' Wall o' Death we're supposed t' be runnin' int', or th' mass 'a folks in power armor Xero's supposed t' have. So, I'm leavin' it up t' you folk."
  97. [2015-05-13 15:41:09] * CopyCat gasps. "Ohh! Good idea Golden_Dream! I'd feel much better about you jumping into the jaws of death with something like that up your sleeve."
  98. [2015-05-13 15:41:46] * CopyCat tilts her head. "And... wasn't the CRUX special? Could it be reused?"
  99. [2015-05-13 15:43:11] * Golden_Dream tilts her head. "As far as I recall, but I dunno if we'll have enough grunt fer' it, or if somethin' 'll short circuit and I'll need t' fix it with some expensive part. That's why I'm askin'."
  100. [2015-05-13 15:44:59] * Get_Lost "fixing is my field, wanna me to take a better look at it maybe?"
  101. [2015-05-13 15:45:12] * Bookwright "If this thing can down the Leviathan in one shot, it's worth considering using it. But I like the explody plan better, if we can use it instead.
  102. [2015-05-13 15:45:53] * CopyCat smiles. "If there's a way to get it working again, I'm sure Get_Lost and Shatara are up to the task. But's that's a discussion for afterwards. I think using it is a great idea!"
  103. [2015-05-13 15:48:14] * Mare-Do-Well 3thinks less than a moment before nodding.
  104. [2015-05-13 15:49:47] * Bookwright "Alright, that's fine. I just hope it doesn't have any side effects, like... preventing us from teleporting out of the very large thing accelerating towards the ground."
  105. [2015-05-13 15:50:37] * Mare-Do-Well 3notes, "I can fly through walls." Then seems to realize that helps nopony else.
  106. [2015-05-13 15:51:04] * Golden_Dream looks at the deck. Specifically, the gliders. "I'm pretty sure those'r combustion engined, right?"
  107. [2015-05-13 15:51:52] * Bookwright "I dunno. They certainly don't look magically powered."
  108. [2015-05-13 15:57:36] * Golden_Dream tilts her head. "Figure th' folks what can't fly can get out on those, right?
  109. [2015-05-13 15:58:15] <Mare-Do-Well> 3After brief inspection (or asking Get_Lost or Shatara), they learn that the gliders run on alchemical batteries. Much like the turrets and missile launcher they found in the jungle.
  110. [2015-05-13 15:59:22] * Bookwright "Weird. But probably not affected by this crazy bomb you have, Golden."
  111. [2015-05-13 16:00:58] * Golden_Dream rubs her hooves together. "Alright. Mare-Do-Well, can you tell me if th' engines were goin', and if there was exhaust bein' given off from what you saw?"
  112. [2015-05-13 16:03:17] * Mare-Do-Well 3nods. "Sure seemed to be."
  113. [2015-05-13 16:06:52] * CopyCat gives their captive zebra a big hug after they'd finished their meal. "Yay! Let's go take down a giant airship!" She thens adds, "And by 'let's' I really mean Goldie and Noble... but I can try to find some pompoms for the rest of use to wave around!"
  114. [2015-05-13 16:08:28] * Golden_Dream puts a hoof up at MDW. "Then it's still burnin' somethin', which means that /we/ can burn that somethin' quicker. We'll prolly need you t' go up and find them fuel tanks, then find some way t' piggyback them memories t' Noble so she can teleport right in there. We thermite th' lot of 'em, see if it's still up, and if it is, we blow th' CRUX. That a plan?"
  115. [2015-05-13 16:11:03] * Bookwright "An excellent refinement of my earlier 'blow it up with a big bomb' plan, Golden Dream."
  116. [2015-05-13 16:12:38] <Golden_Dream> "Cool. We'll need Copycat t' move them memories along t' Noble's head. Th' subject 'a point, who's gonna be th' memory bank?
  117. [2015-05-13 16:13:27] * Golden_Dream rubs her mouth. "Can't be me, I need t' stay focused on this terrifyin'ly explosive ordinance I got."
  118. [2015-05-13 16:16:17] * Mare-Do-Well 3says, "CopyCat once heard my thoughts when I was possessing someone, right?"
  119. [2015-05-13 16:16:34] * Golden_Dream points at Mare-Do-Well. "Is what I was thinkin', yeah."
  120. [2015-05-13 16:16:50] * Mare-Do-Well 3suggests, "I could come back here and possess the zebra."
  121. [2015-05-13 16:16:56] * CopyCat nodnods.
  122. [2015-05-13 16:17:20] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The zebra's eye widen. She doesn't seem to like the idea of being possessed by ghost mares.
  123. [2015-05-13 16:17:55] * Bookwright sees the zebra squirm. "Oh, lighten up. She did it once already and you're none the worse for wear."
  124. [2015-05-13 16:18:16] * Golden_Dream looks at the Zebra. Wait, what? "Hold th' fuck on, you understand Equestrian and can see ghosts?!"
  125. [2015-05-13 16:19:21] * Bookwright "Hey, maybe if we ask her nicely she can tell us about the Leviathan?"
  126. [2015-05-13 16:20:30] * Mare-Do-Well 3narrows her eyes. "Wait, she understood me?"
  127. [2015-05-13 16:21:48] * CopyCat gasps and squeezes the zebra tight. "They grow up so fast!"
  128. [2015-05-13 16:21:52] * Shatara glances between goastpone and stripeypone.
  129. [2015-05-13 16:22:24] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The zebra looks briefly alarmed at the hug, then gives CopyCat an odd and slightly dirty look.
  130. [2015-05-13 16:23:26] * Shatara tilts head. "Can she understand all of us, or just the living impared?"
  131. [2015-05-13 16:24:38] * Get_Lost takes a better look at the zebra, via magical field, and all her sensors
  132. [2015-05-13 16:24:39] * Bookwright "Probably just ghosts."
  133. [2015-05-13 16:25:37] * CopyCat continues hugging, blissfully unawares of any potentially dirty looks.
  134. [2015-05-13 16:25:43] * Mare-Do-Well 3is staring. At Shatara's question she blinks, then floats into the air, flapping ghostly wings. "Good question. I know there are some folks that can naturally see us. Some of them are zebras." The zebra's eyes follow Mare-Do-Well as she flies.
  135. [2015-05-13 16:26:33] * Mare-Do-Well 3then says, "Might not have understood exactly what I was saying, even. I bet if there is any Equestrian word zebras know, it would be 'zebra'. Still, that's a step forward in being able to interrogate her." She looks to the others. "Isn't it?"
  136. [2015-05-13 16:27:46] * Golden_Dream clops her hooves together. "Huh. That simplifies things. Tell 'er that she can tell us what she know about th' leviathan, or she can be th' receptacle fer' yer' joyridin' 'till we get back t' Equestria."
  137. [2015-05-13 16:28:22] * Golden_Dream shrugs. "I don't /want/ y' t' do it, but th' bluff is convincin' enough."
  138. [2015-05-13 16:30:54] * Golden_Dream thinks, if she knows Equestrian, she won't show that she's afraid. If she can understand Mare-Do-Well, then she'll be afraid and will speak. If she just knows a couple of words of Equestrian, then she won't know what's being said.
  139. [2015-05-13 16:33:44] * Mare-Do-Well 3glares at the zebra and related Golden_Dream's message, trying to be as intimidating as she can -- which, it turns out, is quite a lot. Being a ghost helps. But the former Ministry Mare has a lot more going for her in that department than just transparency.
  140. [2015-05-13 16:34:07] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The zebra squeals and tries her best to roll away.
  141. [2015-05-13 16:35:29] <Mare-Do-Well> 3A string of word, all in zebra, spill from her mouth.
  142. [2015-05-13 16:36:06] * Shatara blinkblinks. "Uhh, paging talkybot?"
  143. [2015-05-13 16:38:11] * CopyCat now has a wriggly-rolly zebra in her hooves. CopyCat likes this.
  144. [2015-05-13 16:39:03] * Bookwright "You know, if she dies of fright or something she's just going to try and come back as a ghost and haunt us."
  145. [2015-05-13 16:50:16] * Golden_Dream waves her hoof. "Huh. Looks like yer' a translator, Mare-Do-Well." Goldy pats the zebra on the head. "Tell her she ain't got nothin' t' fear. Or actually, don't do that."
  146. [2015-05-13 16:59:53] * Bookwright "Tell her that if we're not successful on our mission, the Leviathan will destroy this airship with us, and her, on it."
