- >You're Anon
- >And school's out for the day!
- >Woo!
- >It's friday!
- >Friday!
- >Gotta get down on friday!
- >You're pretty much running out of school
- >When you get out on the street, you switch to walking as fast as you can without looking like a total spaz
- >Destination: 4chinz Mall
- >You take a deep breath of the fresh air and admire the blue sky
- >It's pretty
- >And reminds you of...
- >Of her eyes
- >Heh, brings a smile to your face whenever you think about them.
- >Maybe it’s love at first sight.
- >Maybe it’s the hormones.
- >Maybe it’s Maybelline™.
- >But still
- >Your heart beat faster when you thought of her.
- >Your mind melted at the idea.
- >You made it to the mall in one piece, no big anime-style plot devices sweeping you into a world of giant mechs
- >Oh well
- >You said you'd meet her at the ice cream bar, right?
- >You peek over a railing and see a now-familiar head of pink hair
- >She's talking to someone
- >You can't make out their words, but body language and tone of voice suggests it's not exactly a friendly conversation
- >You head down to their floor and stay back a bit behind Pinkamena's back, observing the situation
- >You notice two things in particular
- >Like, except the looks they're getting from all the bystanders
- >One, Pinkamena is aggressive, but not moving or gesturing a lot. There's something creepy about it
- >And two, the other girl, who's gesturing quite a lot, has rainbow-colored hair
- >What
- >You wait for their conversation to end
- >Then an additional couple of minutes
- >*Then* you approach he
- "Hey"
- >You sit down across from her
- >She turns her head towards you with a lifeless motion
- >Then perks up the slightest bit
- >"Oh. Hi."
- >She zips down the hoodie and shrugs it off, handing it to you
- >You take it - and it smells..sweet, and immensely comforting
- >Oh
- >That's...her scent on it
- >[Blushes internally]
- >You push that away for now
- >The girl's clearly hurting
- "You okay?"
- >She sighs, and looks down at the table
- >"No."
- >She sounds so sad
- >So...defeated
- >Shit, of course she does
- >Spats with friends are devastating to you, but at least guys have an easier time making up
- >You regard her for a bit
- >Then you get up and head to the counter
- >You order chocolate ice cream for yourself, and chance on a pistachio for her
- >You pay and go sit down with her again, handing her the ice cream
- >She looks at you, both confused and grateful
- >You sample your fatty treat
- "I couldn't think of anything to say"
- >You smile apologetically
- >She exhales through her nose in what you deem an amused fashion, then starts practically devouring the ice cream
- >How she avoids brain freeze, don't know
- >After finishing the ice cream, she looks at you again, pistachio at the corners of her mouth
- >She still looks pretty deflated, though
- >You tilt your head a bit
- "Care to share what's got ya down?"
- >She nods
- >"I..just kind of had a falling out with a friend. Several, actually."
- "Oh. Damn. Those suck."
- >Smoooth
- >"See, I...kind of tried to get back into touch with a friend that's close to me. With a prank. I...yeah, that's very grade-school, but it's also one of the things I do best. I thought she, being a straight-A student could use a laugh in her day."
- >You nod
- "But?"
- >"But instead she got mad! They all got mad! Dashie came by a few minutes before you to rub it all in, too!"
- >Ohh sweet lord, tread carefully
- >You let her cool off for a bit
- "Would you mind telling me a bit more about your friends?"
- >She winces as if stung by a bee or something
- "O-or at least about the one your pranked?"
- >She gives a heavy sigh
- >"Twilight Sparkle. I met her at the end of grade school. She's good with school and that sort of stuff. She used to be really awkward and oblivious to any social cues not written on a form. She's gotten better since then. Usually, she's the one that keeps the gang together. Now, she's tall and good-looking, and sounds like some sort of professional sort of announcer-ish, like, like a GPS or an on-board flight computer."
- >You raise an eyebrow at that description
- "You know, for what it's worth, I'd drive my fuel tank empty if you were my GPS."
- >She blushes violently and tries to hide behind her hair
- >You feel your cheeks reddening, but you can't run, can't hide
- >There's a looong, awkward silence
- >"Um...thanks"
- >What fo- ohh, right
- >...
- >Well that went better than you'd have dared hope
- "So...from what I gather, she's gotten really distant, yeah?"
- >"Mm. And all serious all the time and she's like all businesslike and has no time for anyone it seems."
- >Her shoulders slump a bit
- >"I...I know I can be annoying, and a bit clingy, but...that's just kind of how I express my love."
- >You blink
- "I'm not doubting you, but I just can't imagine you being annoying, and no more clingy than anyone else."
- >That's a slight lie
- >You could see her as kind of clingy
- >But not in a way you mind
