  1. This is a rough draft of the Trailer/Intro script for the unnamed game. some, or all of this may be rewritten and does not represent the final product(Unless you like it the way it is.. then yeah, its up to you Leo)
  2.
  3.
  4. Camera focused on newspaper, displaying the jobs section. Several listings are circled in black pen. Camera slowly moves down, reveals a black and white ad:
  5.
  6. "A world without disease, hunger, or war"
  7. "Providing the future with free medicine, food, and home services"
  8. "(arbitrary phone number)"
  9.
  10. Narrator picks up reading the first line, camera begins to Zoom out:
  11.
  12. (note: Narrator is male, 60(~), speech is mildly slurred by drunkenness)
  13.
  14. "Famous last words, eh? They promised us everything, a way to make our suffering go away. No more hunger, no more war, no more hospital trips 'sept when you got too drunk. Instead they gave us this-"
  15.
  16. Camera reveals dark stains on the paper. Continues to zoom out.
  17.
  18. narrator continues(note:says 'this' twice after short pause)
  19.
  20. "This god forsaken hell."
  21.
  22. Camera is now zoomed out and centered off the right of a overhead ceiling lamp. The newspaper is on a tile kitchen floor, dried blood is pooled nearby staining the paper in places, a severed hand is nearby. A shadow darts by as a inhuman screech plays. Camera cuts to black, narrator continues
  23.
  24. "Yea' I know, at first they look'd great, Hell, they delivered. "
  25.
  26. Camera is now focused on a playground, a 'flashback' haze filters the camera. Several children are at play. Camera begins to pan left, looking to a young woman smiling. Narrator continues
  27.
  28. "For 30 years we w'er happy."
  29.
  30. Camera goes black, Emergency vehicle sirens begin playing, gunshots are heard in the distance, fire and yells are also heard. Camera fades in and is focused on a city townhouse block. People lay in the street dead or moaning in pain, other run rampant attacking others(general chaos scene)
  31.
  32. (note: This speech plays as the camera does above)"Then in 67', things went back to shit. Worse then that, things w'er elbow deep in the stuff. Yah see, people start'd going all kinds of crazy. Flippn' cars, setting fires, rape, murder, all of that, no reason at all."
  33.
  34. Camera jumps back to playground scene, centered on woman. Lasts 3 seconds before going black while playing a woman's scream followed by small girls 'mommy!'
  35.
  36. " Those who didn' go crazy either fought back, died, or joined in the chaos. I lost my wife and children then."
  37.
  38. Camera stays black, loud, frantic banging at a door is heard. Camera fades in, 1st person. Narrator is focused on a (typical) Revolver sitting on his lap. The bottom of a door is visible at the top of the frame. The banging stops and several shots are fired.
  39.
  40. Woman's voice, (~Young), panicked
  41. "Open up!"
  42.
  43. Narrator(camera) looks to right, end table littered with spent matchbooks, several munitions(some spent, others not), a filled ashtray(butts and ash), a lit table lamp, and a open rum bottle(1/5th remains).
  44.
  45. Narrator, grabbing rum "All gone"
  46.
  47. Woman "Please!"
  48.
  49. Narrator drinks from the bottle, finishing it. The Narrator(camera) focuses on door, bottle moves away from sight.
  50.
  51. Narrator, "Gone"
  52.
  53. Several more shots are fired, a large crash is heard.
  54.
  55. Male voice, Stressed "Dammit, open the door!"
  56.
  57. Narrator, quiet "Gone"
  58.
  59. Sound of revolver hammer, narrator(Camera) looks down, Hand rests on revolver, Narrator lifts gun(gun angled to left), narrator's index finger moves to rest on trigger.
  60.
  61. Woman "Please! Let us in! Da-<Cut>"
  62. Narrator lifts revolver out of view(Suicide obviously)
  63. Narrator, Whisper "Gone"
  64. NOTE: Woman's 'in! Da-' and Narrators 'Gone' Play simultaneously
  65.
  66. Gunshot plays, Camera cuts to black, all other sound ends instantly, roll release date, name of game, etc(or whatever your going to use this with)
  67.
  68.
  69. END, Ready for editing, etc. Small note: some countries don't like gore, in any form. Some don't like blood. The former is easy to take care of, replace hand with full body. Less of an impact, but gets the point across. The latter however presents the issue, and I am unsure what to say for that matter. If you have an idea, run it by me, I'll rewrite the parts with it to fix. There is also the mention of 'rape' another taboo I believe some places like to have omitting. Simply /not/ saying it should work fine without hurting the impact of this.
