2008-9- bought game only to find I couldn't run it on my laptop which was no surprise. Later found out about dx8 and could finally run the game at about 5 fps on orange maps. I was an engi main on this community server and spent my time making crap orange maps. I genuinely did this for about a year.

2010- I got a job at a thorntons and saved up enough money to buy a load of cheap parts and built my first pc, it gave me about 60 fps but for me it was BLAZING SPEED and I immediately stopped playing orange. It was maybe my 5th day of playing the actual game and I happened across a community arena server and make friends with one of the admins. He then introduces me to tf2lobby (my first game, watch me run in straight lines) and picks me up to my first team - lagtastic gaming.
Hildreth, shifty, crashsite, pikachu, fp, various medics. I knew I was shit and didn't even know what I was doing so even though I was on the team I basically refused to play because I knew I'd do horribly. It came to a boil when I played my first official in a cup (pikachu shouted at me until I played) - I had no idea what to do so I asked 'what is my role' and was told it was my job to make sure our combo didn't get flanked. So I stood behind the combo facing backwards. I bottom scored. I was in over my head at that point because I'd just broke the barrier and I was expected to actually play if fp couldn't. I was asked to play officials in div5 and bottom scored every single time, I knew I was hot garbage and I absolutely hated it.

Late 2010 post season I left because I wanted to play div6, where I played demoman for a TC team. I was actually quite good, I probably should have just stuck to demo because looking back I was probably better at that, since I was playing on a dell mouse and no mousepad I'm not surprised I couldn't aim. I got cut because I didn't want to play MGE and I'd just play tf2lobby instead.

2011- Find a new community and make a bunch of mates there. Turns out a few of em used to play in division 4/3 which was hot shit. I also buy a mousemat and a decent mouse. We end up making a div6 team. Soviet Boxing Club, me, deri, bears, tawmo, killeye and halz. We end up sweeping div6 easily, drawing with the frenchies who ended up not dropping another map for like 3 seasons until div2. It was great fun too but there was always a little bit of salt. We disband after the season but stayed friends. I used to hop on mumble as soon as I finished school and literally talked to these guys all evening.

Late 2011 I rejoin LTG, which now has bennyg and rinta - I was actually pretty decent at this point. I should have been way over my head in div3, but I wasn't really, I found I adapted pretty quick. I was DMing aswell so I quickly found I was actually pretty solid. We also go to iseries together, my first lan. I bring the wrong debit card. Fake pours cola in a street fighter players xbox after his GF screws him in a tent. Good times. We fold after our pocket and medic have an argument. Hildreth cuts our pocket, I promptly leave, team breaks up.

2012 - I play for kaleidoscope, with turbomonkey, bones, bennyg, mort, some1 - we have a dd1 scout, ethug, on our roster, so I deliberately don't turn up for a single official so that he plays. I take a break due to exams, promised my spot when I come back, when I come back it is gone, I am told different stories by each of my friends, get kicked, quit playing tf2 properly, backup for tezc in div4.

2013 - Join crack clan purple, jokern, caoul, brainmaster, whayay, eppz, we sweep div4, ragequit the team in the off season
Later play div5 with mates, I act like a total retard after a team apparently threatens a default (found out later this never actually happened) and get banned off etf2l, join elevate and make my soldier debut in div4

2014 - move to roamer for 4:3, cam00, lupus, kuferl, swift, ceejay in div4 again, we sweep, fold
later I reform with 2 of our players, we have a crap season full of roster changes in div3, at the end I quit to join mans on road, where I realise pocket is actually fun if you have a good medic. The team folds which I am v sad about.
later still, I make a team with jackkai stark and swift full of aids brits, I pick up halz who hasn't played since like 2010 in div6 for some reason. Swift hates roamer, so I move to roamer off pocket. CX refuses to play medic, so I end up playing medic with cx pocketing, swift on scout and jackkai roaming. A nightmare clusterfuck of a team built around the fact I refused to kick halz because we were friends. This probably prevented me from ever being taken seriously again.

2015 - I follow up playing medic and try it in mid with bantermory, another aids brit team, solidifying my reputation as an aids player.
Post season we fold and I move to high with e-Sprouts
Later join an open team to play demoknight

In 2016 I realise that absolutely nobody takes me seriously at all, I'm completely unable to get any high trials at all despite having experience playing high on scout, soldier and medic
I join a mid team as soldier to try and make high next season, we choke super hard in our final game and miss out on playoffs, a team we beat every time in scrims ends up winning. Team doesn't want to go high so I leave to make a high team. Pick up decent players but absolutely toxic atmosphere. People keep leaving and then lupus trolls and goes afk in an official and I kick him. Our scout has no internet and I'm just fed up at this point so I drop the team, since I'm out of roster switches.

Today I play mid scout. We are currently beating some high teams so we expect to make playoffs.

My main regret is not turning up to my final trial with dogs.tf, my 2nd biggest is probably not cutting halz. These were both huge opportunities for me to show I was good that I fucked up. I reckon I'm actually not aids at all, but I made my bed so now I have to lie in it tbh.
