  10. Product: yaUsbIR V3:IR transceiver with power switch
  11. hid interface (generic)
  12. This program will record the signals from your remote control
  13. and create a config file for lircd.
  14.
  15.
  16. A proper config file for lircd is maybe the most vital part of this
  17. package, so you should invest some time to create a working config
  18. file. Although I put a good deal of effort in this program it is often
  19. not possible to automatically recognize all features of a remote
  20. control. Often short-comings of the receiver hardware make it nearly
  21. impossible. If you have problems to create a config file READ THE
  22. DOCUMENTATION of this package, especially section "Adding new remote
  23. controls" for how to get help.
  24.
  25. If there already is a remote control of the same brand available at
  26. http://www.lirc.org/remotes/ you might also want to try using such a
  27. remote as a template. The config files already contain all
  28. parameters of the protocol used by remotes of a certain brand and
  29. knowing these parameters makes the job of this program much
  30. easier. There are also template files for the most common protocols
  31. available in the remotes/generic/ directory of the source
  32. distribution of this package. You can use a template files by
  33. providing the path of the file as command line parameter.
  34.
  35. Please send the finished config files to <lirc@bartelmus.de> so that I
  36. can make them available to others. Don't forget to put all information
  37. that you can get about the remote control in the header of the file.
  38.
  39. Press RETURN to continue.
  40.
  41.
  42. Now start pressing buttons on your remote control.
  43.
  44. It is very important that you press many different buttons and hold them
  45. down for approximately one second. Each button should generate at least one
  46. dot but in no case more than ten dots of output.
  47. Don't stop pressing buttons until two lines of dots (2x80) have been
  48. generated.
  49.
  50. Press RETURN now to start recording.
  51. ................................................................................
  52. Found const length: 99698
  53. Please keep on pressing buttons like described above.
  54. ................................................................................
  55. RC-6 remote control found.
  56. No header found.
  57. No repeat code found.
  58. Signals are biphase encoded.
  59. Signal length is 34
  60. Checking for toggle bit mask.
  61. Please press an arbitrary button repeatedly as fast as possible.
  62. Make sure you keep pressing the SAME button and that you DON'T HOLD
  63. the button down!.
  64. If you can't see any dots appear, then wait a bit between button presses.
  65.
  66. Press RETURN to continue.
  67.
  68. No toggle bit mask found.
  69. But I know for sure that RC6 has a toggle bit!
