Even when they bear no other implements, the scions of the Dragons have the elements themselves as weapon and defence. This charm upgades Elemental Bolt Attack, changing its type to Reflexive only when activated to defend against ranged attacks with Dragonfly Finds Mate, and Seven-Year Swarm Volley (where it must be activated once per ranged attack made against any of the protected characters, to a maximum of twice the number of protected characters).

The Elemental Burst Technique 'mode' of Elemental Bolt Attack may not be used with these defences, a repurchase of this charm at Archery 5, Essence 5 removes this restriction — on a successful deflection with Dragonfly Finds Mate, the character may have the elemental burst originate anywhere along the flight path that is within Elemental Burst Techique's range (including the point immediately after it is released from the opponent's weapon), when used with Seven-Year Swarm Volley the erruptions of elemental essence instead destroy any non-magical personal scale missile attacks (inherently non-magical projectiles do not become magical just because a Charm enhanced the attack), whilst providing the usual DV bonus versus any magical projectiles.
