Litter Everywhere


Most people are disgusted by seeing litter on the side of the road, on sidewalks, in parks, and so on. I am one of them. If I threw a piece of trash on the ground other people would probably look at me with disgust. Additionally, I would also make a terrible impression of myself in public. Those who saw me throw that piece of trash on the ground would think of me as a disgusting slob. Those who would probably be most annoyed are those who maintain the place I threw the piece of trash on the ground at. In AFJROTC I help clean up Smiley Street every once and a while and I am greatly annoyed when someone throws trash on that street because I worked hard cleaning that street. In fact most of us who clean up that street are annoyed by people littering on it. When someone throws a piece of trash on the ground someone has to pick it up. Unfortunately, the person who picks up that piece of trash is usually not the person who threw it on the ground in the first place. Now, if everyone threw their trash on the ground the world would be a disgusting place to live. There would be trash everywhere and the world would like one big dump. Unfortunately, people would catch diseases and illnesses more often with trash being thrown everywhere. At least less people would be annoyed and disgusted by someone throwing their trash on the ground. Since everyone else is throwing trash on the ground probably no one would even care. Would you would you want live in a world full of trash, where everyone threw their trash on the ground, and where people become sick more often as a result? I certainty would not. Fortunately, our world is not like that and we should keep it that way by keeping it clean by disposing of our trash properly.
