- The rules of our unnamed group!
- ADMINISTRATION
- 1. This is a group that operates on democracy and meritocracy. The will of the members shall be followed. However, reason is always a premium. We always should prefer to settle differences using rational arguments, instead of force.
- 2. Voting shall be done by whatever means that effectively communicates the thoughts of the member [Allowable methods include, but are not limited to, in-game, forum, chat].
- 3. A decision shall be made once a quorum among voters is reached. A quorum shall be composed of any members forming 75% of all the members of the team. [For example, if there are 12 members of the team, and 9 have voted, any vote they enact is binding to the team] The decision with the most number of votes will have their decision enacted effective immediately.
- ETIQUETTE
- 1. Swearing and flaming are discouraged. It's not punishable per offence, but it is generally looked down upon. Such behavior is inconducive to rational discussion.
- REVIEWING POLICY
- 1. Our primary goal is to help people make their maps better. All other rules and goals should be based on this principle.
- 2. Standard subimssions for maps shall be in the following syntax:
- @code
- P#
- short description
- This is merely a guide to help us help the other players. Should our clients not comply correctly with these specifications, we shall reclassify them to the correct category.
- 3. We shall review the following categories:
- P3 | P4 | P5 | P6 | P7 | P8 | P9 | P10 | P22 | Theme rooms
- 4. As much as possible, we don't insult our clients' maps. We can criticize the maps for the details wrong about it such as misplaced grounds or faulty mechanisms. Pursuant to our main goal though, we should talk more about how it can be better, not how bad it currently is.
- 5. When a team member has already reviewed a map, another team member reviewing the same category may still post his reviews on it, but he should take note of the things already mentioned by the first reviewer.
- 6. The team is to watch out for bad map elements such as crash, offscreen, free cheese, among others. They should make sure to tell players to remove said bad map elements. For bad map elements like copy maps, these should be reported to map crew members for immediate action.
- ADMISSION POLICY
- 1. All members may vote on whether a new member is admitted. However, voting on admission has a quorum of 50% of the members. That means if there are 8 members of the team, 4 voters may already decide whether a new member is admitted.
- 2. All applications should be made using the form. Recruiting friends directly into the group is strongly discouraged because we prefer to see whether said friends are actually good at reviewing maps.
- 3. An applicatant who has been denied membership may re-apply after notification that his application is denied.
- 4. People may be put on an application blacklist. This list is for people whose applications will be outright ignored by the team. Voting on members for the blacklist again requires only 50% quorum. Reasons for addition to the blacklist may include things like being a clear nuissance in the applications, applying over and over again without showing signs of getting better.
- 5. When an applicant submits another application before we are able to review his initial application, said initial application shall be considered void in favor of the second one.
- REMOVAL POLICY
- 1. Any member may be removed by the other members. However, this requires a 100% quorum.
- 2. Valid reasons may include, but are not limited to:
- a. lack of quality and/or helpfulness in reviews
- b. poor relationship with the rest of the team
- c. 1 year of inactivity
