However, it was not for nothing, as Karina has obtained her Water Talisman, along with a sealed case of seeds originally meant for an underground Apple Orchard.
[13:19] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Unfortunately, they did not arrive quickly enough to save Primer from having her cybernetics 'upgraded' by the mad Doctor Crankshaft, and have retreated to the safety of the Shantyshod Inn to allow her to recover, after dispatching the Doctor
04[13:19] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 We join them now the following morning, except maybe Karina who probably went to visit the Star Seekers
07[13:22] * +Desert_Storm rolls out of bed slowly, unsure of what happened the past few days, but very glad to be out of that crazy place. She's updating her rules of hoof with "Never go in a Stable for any reason. Ever." Her fancy shmancy new Pipbuck was kind of nice. "So who's awake?"
15[13:22] * +Karina probably would've done that, yes, and she would've asked Patik where she got her UV lights from.
04[13:23] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Patik smiles at Karina; "I am glad your quest for such a valuable artifact was a success. I would gladly lend my aid to this cause. I just wonder what you have planned now that you have obtained this object?"

07[13:25] * @Wraith` is downstairs in the inn, not taking any further chances of possible abductions. The past day's events play through his mind and though Primer was alive... he couldn't help but blame himself for not being more vigilant. He never slept, what was his excuse?
04[13:25] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Patik looks at Karina curiously; "I do not mind giving you my aid, but what you are asking seems like a large undertaking. Might I ask what you are planning?"
07[13:25] * +Primer shifts and whimpers in her sleep, like she has all night. Once or twice she woke up crying, now she simply opens her eyes and stares at the ceiling for a -looong- while.
07[13:26] * +Fire_Lily is still half asleep. Yesterday was a long day... though she's just glad Primer is safe again.
15[13:27] * +Karina nods and replies to Patik in zebra. "(Oh it is. We're planning a way to create a settlement that can feed itself with freshly grown food. And to do that, one of the key components is those UV lights.)"
07[13:27] * +Desert_Storm looks around. "Nopony, then." She heads over closer to Primer and sits down at the foot of her bed. She could wait.
[13:28] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Patik nods with a smile; "A new settlement with fresh food would be a boon indeed for the wary wasteland. Perhaps this was the great destiny the stars have laid out for you. I would be honoured to aid you in this endeavour. However, we Star Seekers know better than most the value of secrecy, so if there are things you must keep to yourself, I will not complain."
07[13:29] * +Primer shifts her gaze from the ceiling to Desert once she feels the pegasus sit down on the bed. "..."
07[13:29] * @Wraith` passes his time waiting for his companions by creating two bear traps from his materials he's gathered.

15[13:33] * +Karina nods to Patik. "(Well there are. Things which if known would cause... attention. And attention right now isn't what's needed. We have access to two of the three necessary components, the last one remaining is getting to adequate light. Which is why I'm asking about your UV lights. If there's somewhere we could go to get a whole lot more of those...)"
07[13:33] * +Desert_Storm lowers her head a little. "Look..." she starts, turning away. "I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that I know what you're going through, because I don't. But I am going to tell you that... I respect you more than anypony I've ever met. I don't know how much my respect means to you, but you have it." She gets up and heads downstairs. "See you at breakfast."
07[13:34] * +Primer takes this in and then, just as Desert is about to leave, asks. "Why?" Primer wasnt a good shit... and not a clever pony most times due to her being a night owl... so why?

07[13:35] * +Desert_Storm smiles a little, but doesn't say word more.
[13:35] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Patik looks at her meagre alchemic potted plant setup; "It would probably take some time. I know what to look for now and how to set them up, but gathering the necessary components for that scale will take time. There is also the problem of power; we use a small generator to power these and the home's other utilities, but that's all we have."
07[13:37] * +Fire_Lily takes that opportunity to sleepily give Primer a hug and mumble "Good morning..."
15[13:37] * +Karina "(Power... shouldn't be an issue. Not if we use a Stable, at least. It has all the power we'd need. Plus we can look for the parts to make more generators at the same time we look for parts to make a massive UV light thing.)"
07[13:37] * @Wraith` looks up from his trap construction and sees Desert_Storm coming downstairs. Looking at the Pegasus, he asks in a gravely voice, "You all awake?"
07[13:39] * +Primer sighs and studies the ceiling again. Respect... that means a lot, but why did she have Desert's respect? Hrmph, no matter. Primer turns over and looks into Fire_Lily's face. "Morning sis." She returns the hug, but feels cuilty over her cold legs.
07[13:39] * +Desert_Storm nods slightly and floats over, still a little sleepy. "Just waking up now. Looks like you've been busy."
07[13:39] * @Wraith` just squints at the mare, then continues to create his traps. He just responds in a slightly arctic tone, "Yeah."
07[13:41] * +Desert_Storm raises a brow. What's his problem? "Problem?"
[13:41] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Patik raises an eyebrow; "Are you referring to the nearby Stable? I have head whispers of tragedy and disappearance there. I am not certain that is wise."
15[13:42] * +Karina "(Already went in, cleared it out, and ended the tragedy. It needs to be cleaned up, sure, but it's at least safe, now.)"
04[13:42] * +Fire_Lily doesn't care about Primer's guilt. She still thinks Primer is the best big sis she could ask for.
07[13:42] * @Wraith` doesn't look up as he says back, "Yeah. You turn chickenshit often?"

07[13:43] * +Desert_Storm doesn't follow. She lands and looks over his shoulder at whatever he's making. "Excuse me?"
07[13:44] * +Primer nuzzles Lily and ponders getting up and eating breakfast... she wasnt hungry. Not really... "Breakfast sound good to you?"
07[13:45] * @Wraith` stops and looks up at the pegasus still with squints, as if his looks could bore into her flesh, "When we first made it to that shop that lead to the Stable, you wussed out at first and wouldn't follow. One of your squad mates life was at stake, but you were ready to tuck tail and fly off. Yeah you came back, but you still acted like you weren't coming."
15[13:45] * +Karina shakes her head. "(Wasn't really all that amazing, I didn't have the biggest hoof in it all, either. The important thing is that we have a stable at our disposal now, so power isn't an issue. However... if you could write up a list for me of generator and UV light components that I could look for so we could get started on putting this all together, that'd be great.)"
[13:46] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Patik nods; "I will do so. Is there anything else you require of me or the others right now?"
07[13:48] * +Desert_Storm floats up again and crosses her hooves. "I don't know if you know this, Wraith, but I'm only good at a few things. Most of them involve shooting ponies, and if I'm put in a situation where I can't do anything to help the unit, then I'm not going to get in the way of ponies that can. And... I don't like going underground." She says sternly, her eyes hidden by her shades.
07[13:48] * +Fire_Lily doesn't really wanna get up, but is a little hungry, maybe... She settles for, "I think... yeah."

She swings her hindlegs out over the edge of the bed and gathers herself for standing up. "Right, here we... oh,oh, uaaaah!" With a crash and a yelp Primer's one hindlegs puts a massive overkill of energy into standing and the cybermare goes head over hooves into a pile on the floor.
[13:53] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Patik nods; "Would you like me to get Orion, or would you like to try by yourself?"
07[13:54] * +Desert_Storm frowns and gives an "of course I do" look. "I guess you guys could Court Martial me, if this were the military. Which it isn't... I should know."
15[13:54] * +Karina is quiet for a minute before shaking her head. "(I'll try it on my own. I want to be able to do it anywhere, not just in a certain room...)"
[13:56] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Patik nods; "Do you require any implements? Music, incense? I know I enjoy listening to an old tribal chant recording when I have my meditations."
07[13:56] * +Fire_Lily jumps in surprise. She hops down to Primer's side almost immediately! "Are you okay!?"
07[13:56] * @Wraith` responds with a frown, "We fucking shot them. Right on the spot. They wouldn't follow orders, they were considered deserters. How I see it, when shit hits the fan, you're more of a liability than an asset. Hiding behind fear as your excuse to abandon your squad. What happens when you meet something else that you're afraid of and we're counting on you? You gonna piss yourself and say, 'Nope. Not dealing with this?' "
15[13:57] * +Karina blinks at Patik. Old tribal chants? Yes please. "(That sounds like a great idea. I love music.)"
07[13:58] * +Primer pushes herself carefully from the floor and sits awkwardly. "Y-yeah... I think so." She answers as she rubs her nose with a rubber soled hoof. "These fucking things are giving me lip."
07[14:00] * +Fire_Lily can't know what that feels like. She tries to comfort Primer as best she can though. "Do you... need help?"
07[14:01] * +Desert_Storm raises a brow. "It wasn't an order, Chief. The three of you charged in there on your own volition, not because somepony ordered you to. Last time I checked, we /aren't/ a squad, we aren't soldiers. Not anymore, at least. Next time we meet something I don't like, I'm going to do /everything/ I can to deal with it /my/ way. And I don't give a shit if you don't like my methods." She huffs and goes to find breakfast somewhe
07[14:01] * +Primer smiles at Lily. "Thanks, but I think I can manage." The smile is fragile though, and hides a frustrated and scared pony.

07[14:03] * @Wraith` frowns and says, "Yeah, go fucking run off. Chicken shit." he snorts and resumes his trap construction.
04[14:04] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Patik smiles and leads Karina to the far side of the room, where an old recording device is wired into a fairly beat up looking radio. She turns it on and a zebra tribal chant can be heard. The volume isn't great, but that just means it would be less of a distraction. Patik goes back to tending to her plants and leaves Karina to her devices.
07[14:05] * +Fire_Lily frowns a bit. "O...kay..." She isn't sure at all that Primer can manage.
07[14:05] * +Desert_Storm turns to add one last "Fuck you." and floats off.
07[14:06] * +Primer stands again, slowly, and with exsessive care. Her prostethic legs twitching and jerking as she walks slowly to the door. "I... think I got this." She stands stiffly as she waits for Lily to catch up. Dressing could wait, she wasnt sure she could manage that anyway.
15[14:06] * +Karina watches Patik walk off then looks around. If they're in the main room that was used her very first time, she goes over and lays down in the star. If not, she just lays down and focuses on her heartbeat.
07[14:07] * +Fire_Lily sticks as close to Primer as she can manage without risking tripping her. She's ready to help steady her if she starts to fall.
07[14:08] * +Primer walks achingly slowly along the hallway and then stops at the top of the stairs. "Uhmmm...." Okay, she had her pride, but nut -that- much of it. "Lily, can you help keep me from breaking my neck on the way down?"
04[14:09] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Interestingly enough, the tribal chanting seems to synchronize with Karina's Heart Beat. Or maybe the other way around. Eventually she can hear something as the red light appears in front of her again; "Yo. Glad to see you made it out of there. And with the prize no less. Makes you and me both real happy."
15[14:10] * +Karina knows why it makes her happy, but she does wonder why it would make a star happy.
07[14:11] * +Fire_Lily smiles and nods, enveloping Primer in her telekinesis to make sure she doesn't fall.
07[14:11] * +Desert_Storm sits down somewhere across the room from the grumpy zombie pony and noms some breakfast.
07[14:12] * +Primer starts to go down the stairs. "Thanks." When she reaches the bottom she rests for a while, a foreleg wrapped around Fire_Lily.
07[14:13] * @Wraith` looks up from his trap construction and simply nods to Primer, watching the cyber-mare for the moment.
07[14:14] * +Desert_Storm turns to watch Primer too. She waves a hoof and returns to her breakfast.
[14:15] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 "Well, unlike some of your elders believe, we're not a bunch of malevolent monsters looking to destroy you. Most of us are just old spirits wandering the heavens. Occasionally we like to look down and see what's going on, and it always sucks to see mortals suffering needlessly."
07[14:15] * +Primer nods back at Wraith`and stands back up. "Right, breakfast." So long as she doesnt upchuck... Primer could manage something.
[14:15] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The red light notes in its voice; "Although, we do get the occasional bad apple even up here; like the one who communicated with the last zebra to bear your mark."

07[14:17] * +Fire_Lily lets Primer walk on her own again after she reaches the bottom of the stairs, and sits with her until she's ready to go again. She was a bit hungry, but Primer is more important...
07[14:20] * +Primer walks over to the counter and orders something to eat for herself and Lily.
15[14:20] <+Karina> So the stars aren't inherently bad... but they're not all inherently good... they're just old spirits with incredible power, and what they do with that power is up to each one of them individually...  Karina wasn't sure whether that though calmed her or slightly disturbed her.  She also wasn't exactly sure she wanted to know what happened tot he last zebra to bear her mark... No... she -did- want to know, she was just worried it was really bad.
[14:20] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The Innkeeper makes some simple oatmeal for Primer and Lily, noticing that she was looking al ittle green... and robotic.

07[14:22] * @Wraith` finishes making his two bear traps and gets up. He turns to Primer and says, "I'm going to look for some materials." he turns and heads outside and goes around scavenging for any junk to make further traps with.

07[14:49] * +Primer finishes brushing Lily's mane and then starts dressing. She gives her Zebra Lake grenade laincher a fond nuzzle. "Mmm, baby, I'm not letting you out of my sights again." She then sits and rests for a while again. Okay, now the scary part, going out. "You ready?" Primer asks Lily, and she gives Desert a raised eyebrow as well.

07[14:59] * +Desert_Storm helps Primer. Helping is good. When the get to the store, she asks, "Primer... can I borrow Lily for a minute?"

07[15:01] * @Wraith` decides there's nothing he wants from the merchant as of now and heads out... Giving a soft, silent breath, he turns and looks towards the giant building that this town was built around. Hmmm.... He wondered exactly what would be in that place as of now? He proceeds his way to the structure.
15[15:01] * +Karina "Oh." She positions herself so Keshik can go through the pipbuck easier.
07[15:01] * +Desert_Storm looks to the unicorn.
07[15:01] * +Fire_Lily looks between Primer and Stormy. She's not sure if Primer will be alright alone. "I... dunno..."
07[15:03] * +Desert_Storm smiles reassuringly. "It's alright, I just need to talk to you for a minute. We don't even need to leave the store, but this is important."
[15:04] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Keshik eventually finds his way to the map, and scrolls until he finds a location. From the looks of it, it's an old Four Stars Station.

07[15:07] * +Desert_Storm nods and leads Lily to a corner of the store. She bends down a little to Lily's level and whispers. "Have you been practicing what I taught you?"
07[15:10] * +Fire_Lily is confused for a moment before realizing what Stormy is talking about. "Oh! Uh... not really..."
[15:10] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Keshik nods. However, he scrolls the map slightly to show that it's right on the border of Bucklyn Steel Ranger Territory. He gives her a stern look and waves a hoof.

07[15:13] * +Primer walks up to the shopkeeper and buys a few things she'd need and then heads for the workbench in the corner. "Now... let us see." She mutters to herself as she starts to construct a series of bottlecap mines. It was mostly to make herself feel better, but also to make some money.

15[15:16] * +Karina swallows. "(I can get around Rangers...)" She reaches up and gives Keshik a quick hug.
07[15:16] * +Desert_Storm puts a hoof on Lily's shoulder. "I know it must be hard... believe it or not... I had trouble shooting guns when I was your age, but one of these days, it's going to save your life, or one of ours."
[15:17] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Keshik hugs back and smiles. He then gives her a hoof gesture that seems to mean 'good luck'

Before saying anything else to her, he turns to the guard and nods to him and says, "We might check them out then, thanks for the info." he looks at the zebra mare again and says to her, "Let's trot and talk." then turns and heads towards the outlet the guard mentioned.

Leaning back he just shakes his head and asks in a amused tone, "Some assembly required?"

New toys are no fun without being put together ya know."

One it was old... probably even before the start of the Pony-Zebra war... second, it's been a very long time since he's assembled weaponry... especially to a battle-saddle. Though it took some effort, he manages to successfully assemble the gun. Smiling deviously he presents the assembles weapon to Primer.
