Soarfrog

These amphibian creatures are often dressed in gaudy attire, badly "flibbermouthing" (as they call it) the language of the landfolk even as they attempt to theatrically mimic the pirate-stereotype dialects of those races.

"Theatrics" itself is an appropriate one-word description of soarfrog culture. Soarfrogs don't just love the thrill of leaping into battle, or from mast to mast, or shouting to do everyday ship deck routines as if in a stormy emergency - they overdramaticize their love lives, their friendships, betrayals, disagreements, cooking, and anything you can think of. They are actually native to continental areas bordering rainforests, but the history/running joke of it is that the towns and cities of the civilized world either stopped being willing to tolerate them or ran out of smashable barstools, depending on who is telling it.

==Water-Breathing (Ex)==
Soarfrogs can breathe water to a depth of 30 feet, but not deeper water or salt water for more than a total of 2 hours per day.

==Powerful Build (Ex)==
The physical stature of soarfrogs lets them function in many ways as if they were one size category larger. Whenever a soarfrog is subject to a size modifier or special size modifier for a Combat Maneuver Bonus or Combat Maneuver Defense (such as during grapple checks, bull rush attempts, and trip attempts), the soarfrog is treated as one size larger if doing so is advantageous to him. A soarfrog is also considered to be one size larger when determining whether a creature's special attacks based on size (such as grab or swallow whole) can affect him. A soarfrog can use weapons designed for a creature one size larger without penalty. However, his space and reach remain those of a creature of his actual size. The benefts of this racial trait stack with the effects of abilities and spells that change the subject's size category.

==Gliding (Ex)==
Soarfrogs can glide from high places. Generally they descend at a speed of 5ft per 10ft travelled, but they can delay the point where they even begin to descend by a distance equal to half the result of a jump check (if standing or in a climbing position, otherwise just the jump check in distance if running).
