  1. Devara's Prologue I
  2.
  3.
  4.
  5. Flashes of the not so distant past.
  6.
  7. Small snippets of memory going through his mind, Devara sleeps. Boom! lightning flashes, leaving pulsing blue images in his eyes through his eyelids. Eyes feverishly darting around his sockets, He is tormented by memories that he has no recollection of making...
  8.
  9. Running, the sound of chain mail and heavy footsteps quick on my heels behind me. A dozen soldiers or more.
  10.
  11. A bright light flashes, leaving me to only see solid blue! I panic, eyes darting around wildly but I start to calm when I realize it is just the ocean. I fell asleep on the deck again... As I awake fully and stand, I'm greeted by the captain who's name I can't remember. He gives me a nod, and points the starboard side of the sea-fairing ship (the opposite side I was staring out into). he says " We are almost there, Almora's port is where we go our separate ways. "
  12.
  13. I nod, as yet another flash of light robs me of my sight. I jolt awake from the sound of lightning booming uncomfortably close to the stable that I was using as shelter for the night. " Are these dreams I have memories, or figments of my imagination? " I silently think to my self, as the rain lets up to a slight dribble. I rise to leave, slowly steadying myself from the unrelenting nightmares while sleeping on the itchy hay. I grab my backpack and my staff before the owner gets the chance to find a trespasser amongst his horses, but I'm too late. An old man approaches quickly but cautiously with a pitchfork yelling " Get the hell away from my stallion, Thief! ".
  14.
  15. " Shit! " I mumble before I cast a spell from the college of air. In less than a second the phrase " Paagol Nau Su " leaves my mouth. The air around me starts shifting, swirling, and bending to the will of my spell paagol nau su or walk on air in spell casting language. The air starts to solidify into a white wisp as thin as a strand of silk, combining under my feet to create a "solid" surface for me to stand on. After about one second the spell is complete, and I sprint for all its worth up towards the sky, and away from the enraged farmer.
  16.
  17. About three minutes later, exhausted from maintaining the spell on-top of a full sprint, I begin my decent towards the main road. Avoiding the estranged looks of other travelers, they are wary to interact with a wondering monk that (unknown to me) carries the mark of a dead man. Of a murderer. I continue on down the road in silence, to my next destination, a town named Adalla.
