- System Mechanics
- Each character has 3 weapons, or “Gloves”. At the start of every round, you can choose which Gloves you want to equip. You can wear 2 Gloves, 1 for each arm. You can wear the same type of Glove on both arms.
- In ARMS, your character can move in all 4 directions, as well as dash and jump. Some characters have more options for movement, e.g. Mechanica’s flight or Ninjara’s smoke cloud. You can also block against incoming punches. However, doing this will leave you open to a grab if you can’t react to it.
- While blocking or at the end of a dash, your Gloves become charged. If you throw a punch while you’re charged, your punch will do extra damage.
- If you do enough damage to your opponent, your Flurry Attack will charge. Once you activate it, you are able to punch incredibly fast, allowing you to rack up big damage.
- Gloves
- Toaster: standard weapon; good damage and speed
- Sparky: like the Toaster, but if you charge it up
- Boomerang: moves in a long arc, and puts out a tornado
- Trident: a 3-hit projectile that does a little bit of damage with each hit
- Revolver: another 3-hit projectile, with less spread than the Trident but the projectiles move slower
- Popper: unique to Ribbon Girl, projectile attack that lacks in damage but it knocks the opponent down
- Slapamander: also unique to Ribbon Girl, able to be curved upwards; many applications
- Chakram: unique to Ninjara, has a long lasting hitbox that makes it very good for pressure
- Big Punch: unique to Master Mummy, travels slow but is very large and has high priority
- Homing: also unique to Master Mummy, we…actually have no idea what this one does. Sorry. :3
- Spring Boy
- an all-arounder with above average stats in all categories
- Gloves: Toaster, Boomerang, Trident
- Ribbon Girl
- speedy character with solid movement options
- 4 jumps
- has a midair dash that can be angled in all directions
- Gloves: Sparky, Popper, Slapamander
- Ninjara
- tricky character who appears to have some legitimate mixups
- can disappear into a cloud of smoke and can control where he reappears
- Gloves: Chakram, Sparky, Trident
- Master Mummy
- big bulky character that revolves around defensive mechanics
- if he blocks a punch, he regains a bit of life
- inherent super armor when standing
- Gloves: Big Punch, Homing, Revolver
- Mechanica
- slow, but has good air options and a phenomenal super
- can fly for a duration
- Gloves: Revolver, Toaster, Boomerang
