  1. Team Stuff.
  2. Just before I start with the writeup, can I just say that I do not think we should have lost the steel match. I feel like people just were not on their top form, myself included. Pancakes, Alain and mole played exceptionally, and I think that some people seemed not to give their full effort into this game. Even though it was the most important game of the season. Either way, I know this game was definitely not the reflection of our season as a whole. We just have to work on some stuff. We got complacent with calls etc.
  3.
  4. Well guys, looks like we have made it through our first season as a team. I really cannot express how pleased I am with how well we did. Despite class switches and a couple rows here and there, we are all here, in one piece, ready to get stuck right into Steel.
  5.
  6. Iron was fun; we had a laugh, while at the same time playing to win. And we did both of those very well. As we move into Steel, the most obvious thing that you will notice is how competitive it will get, and how much higher the skill level will get. Now I do not want to put you off, of course, but I want you to know that its not just going to be the same thing. There will not be teams like fal’ and BTSWJ, but there will be a lot more teams. I am not really sure what Mr. HS is planning, but if he is going into steel next season too, then there is a good chance we will not play them - due to the vast number of steel teams.
  7.
  8. Anyway, enough with the scary stuff. What have we done in Iron that is worth talking about?
  9.
  10. I think we have developed so well as both a team and as individuals, and it is great to see everyone now compared to when we first started, back before the season had dates.
  11.
  12. I am just gonna take this opportunity to thank LazyJam (my old team leader) for folding my old team, because it was on that day that I went looking for a new team. And also, thank you GPS for being the only one of the team leaders who I added on that day to be online. If you were not online at that particular moment, I would never have joined -cd-, and I would have never met all you wonderful people.
  13.
  14. So what exactly have we improved on? Well, there is too much to say - but because I am a very very very very good spy, I am gonna try. (OMFG RHYMES 10/10 -GPS)
  15.
  16. billeh - During this season, you went from being a scout with good DM, to a great team player with amazing DM. You have gotten used to the HL format more, and you know where to be on any given map, at any given time. You are able to get behind the enemy team with ease. Which is a skill that is very valuable, and that comes to you naturally. Well done billeh, you played outstandingly this season. It is great to watch you play and you have taught me a lot about TF2, and especially scout, so thanks man. You have also proved yourself to be a strong demoman and sniper, which is definitely not easy. You as a person are very friendly, funny and informative; its always good to talk to you on Mumble. I hope to see you next season.
  17.
  18. mole - Mole, mole, mole. When I first added you to ask whether you wanted to play, you said you had good DM, and that was about it. Little did I know, that you were going to be the strongest player on our team, with record breaking frags and damage, every match. Even though you were a don at DM before you joined -cd-, I can see how you have improved so much. From being an MGE soldier, to now being the heart of HL team is a great accomplishment, and one you should be very proud of. Our whole team works off your plays, picks and damage; without you, -cd- is nothing. We as a team are so very grateful to have someone as talented, skilled and as humble as you. I was gonna say that you are the Messi of our team, but now I cannot. Goddamn Messi. Well done sir, and I very much hope to see you too next season. You are a very talented player, and I am pretty sure you will go onto to do many great things.
  19.
  20. Hoovy - When we first started scimming, back before we even had season dates, you did not even have a microphone. I therefore had my doubts as to whether you would be a good pyro - as a pyro needs a mic to convey messages about spies, etc. When you did get your hands on a mic, I was very excited, not just because I would be able to hear your amazing voice, but because we as a team would be more aware of spies. And you did a great job. You spy-checked, you occasionally reflected, and you shot many flares. You were a good pyro. And then that scrim happened. And words were exchanged. And pyros were saddened. But nevertheless, you overcame those feelings, and the next day, during the viaduct official, you carried our team. You played so well in that official, that I had a smile on my face every time I heard spy down. Your reflects have improved so much too. You are playing really well at the moment, and its great to see! Well done Hoovy, you have improved so much during this single season, and you should be very proud of yourself, because I know I am proud of you. I would be very happy to see you next season.
  21.
  22. Yukki - I know you were unable to join us for the end of the season, but you played so well in the first half that it does not really matter in terms of how good you are as a player. Yukki, during this season, you have mained medic, sniper, engy and demoman. Let me tell you, you are a fully fledged team player, that is what you are. You stepped up to the challenge, no matter what, for the sake of the team. You have had a great spirit throughout the season, and you are one of the best players I have played alongside. Also, for the record, you were a great medic, and outstanding sniper, a very strong engy and you are an amazing demoman. Do not think you are bad at any of the classes you played this season. The only reason you main demoman now, is because that is what you want. And that is whats best for the team. Thank you Yukki for a great season. I cannot wait to play with you next season.
  23.
  24. massive - When I asked you to play demoman, I was not sure what would happen. Especially as you claimed not to have played TF2 for ‘2 years’. It was clear from the start that you had a fighting spirit, and a knack for not dying. The more and more scrims you played, the higher your damage numbers got. And even now you are still improving! What we are seeing in all these recent scrims and matches is a completely different massive to the massive we saw at the beginning. Stepping in for Yukki as he has gone for the summer has really let you show of your skills, and you are doing really well! Well done massive! I think the airshot you got in one of the recent scrims really outlines your quick improvement. I hope to play alongside you next season!
  25.
  26. GPS - Ever since the beginning of -cd-, you have always lead from the front, and it is great to see your aggression is still somewhere in you today. You have improved as both a heavy and a team player so much this season; your holding has become very strong, and you can singlehandedly turn the tide of any battle you are in, which is great to see! You always have high frags and high damage, which shows you just how great you are at heavy. You are definitely one of the best heavies I have played with, and you are one of the funniest people I have met. You are a great chap to be around, and a great team leader. Well done GPS, I cannot wait to play another season with you!
  27.
  28. Pancakes - You have developed so much during this past season, its great to see. At the start of the season, you had some interesting sentry placements, but recently - on the KOTH maps - you have stood out. You play style is very strong, and you are a very diverse team player. Your mini-sentries are lethal and your aim is just superb. It is great to have you on our team, and you are definitely one of the strongest players on the team. You are very reliable, and you are always the first one in mumble for scrims; and you never leave the mumble straight away after - you wait to hear criticism, which is great to see. You are a very good team player, and you should be proud of yourself. The improvements you have made through the season are clear, well done Pancakes! I hope to play with you next season, I cannot wait! Steel will be so much fun!
  29.
  30. Cheesey - You are one of the best snipers I have ever seen in this game, and I am sure your homeboy Matcuth agrees. When you were playing sniper for the first half of the season, you were practically unstoppable. Moving into medic, for the greatness of the team, was such a bold move on its own, you deserve so much respect. You also happen to be one of the best medics I have played with. Ever since you have main called, we have won pretty much every game. Which just goes to prove, we need you. Your amazing medic skills know no bounds. You arrows are killer and you still maintain the ability to keep everyone alive, which is not an easy feat. Well done Cheesey, you are a great player, friend and all round nice guy. Cannot wait to play with you next HL season, and maybe heal you in 6s xD. Also you play cricket, so you are a good chap.
  31.
  32. Mason - Stepping in halfway through the season to take over the main sniper role was very courageous of you. And what a great sniper you are. Ever since you have played sniper, enemy snipers have not been a problem, and it is clear why. Your aim is superb, and you should be very proud of yourself. Your crucial picks are simply outstanding, and our team just would not be the same without them. As you have only been playing for a short while, it is unclear to see your improvement clearly, but I am sure that you have, and that you will continue to snipe as well as you have for many seasons to come. Thank you Mason, and I cannot wait to play with you next season!
  33.
  34. Huwj - My main man Huwj. What can I say? You are the sub that is always there. No matter what the class is, you will be happy to play it, for the good of the team. That in itself is such a great quality to have as a person, but when you are actually really good at the class, we know we are onto a winner. Huwj, you are a great friend, an amazing player and an awesome person. You will do anything for the team, and it is this attitude that everyone on the team needs to have. Whether you were playing engy, soldier or even medic, you did yourself proud. You are an outstanding guy, Huwj. And I cannot wait to play with your for seasons to come - both in HL and 6s. Thanks man. Also 2 Chainz.
  35.
  36. We have come so far as a team, and its great to see. We have learned so much, we have had lots of funny moments, and I hope this has been a good first season for those of you who are had not played a season before. This has definitely been the best season of TF2 I have played (maybe because I have only played 2 and in the other one all the players got angry and left), and I will cherish moments of this season forever.
  37.
  38. Thanks guys, for a great season.
  39. Let’s go smash those Steel n3rds.
  40.
  41. Iron is behind us; the train to Steel is departing.
  42. All aboard now; MASSIVE, WE’RE STARTING!
