What do you think is the most critical factor for the normal operation of our army?

I feel that the most critical factors is actually emphasise on our soldiers constantly and every soldier would know it. It is actually our 8 core values of the singapore armed forces. Firstly, it would be loyalty to the country, the flag and also to our president. It can be considered of the utmost importance because we are depending on the soldiers to defend our country and to protect our freedom and lives. If the soldiers are not loyal, they will not be training with all their heart and effort and when it comes to war, they would be insufficiently trained and because they are not even loyal, they might even just ditch the warfront and run away. Next would be leadership. It is a quality essential for the soldiers of singapore. They must be able to lead when time arises this would ensure that at all times, there would be orders being given out and that there is standardisation instead of just panic and chaos every time there is no one to take charge. After leadership, it would be discipline. Discipline is important because every soldier can be must be able to take and execute orders with no questions asked. This would make sure that every training and order is able to push the soldiers limit to make them stronger and better. Professionalism would be next. Soldiers must maintain a professional attitude and not act like monkeys. This would portray a good image for our army making us look strong and vigilant, deterring countries that might see us as valuable targets. The next critical factor would be fighting spirit. This factor will make our soldiers strong both physically and mentally. They would not give up that easily and would plow through the tough training and environment.  It also ensures that their morale would be kept high. Ethics, will have our soldiers do the right thing in times of need. The next value is care for soldiers. This value make sure that our army is well bonded and everyone will be able to take care after one another. The soldiers will consider one another as brothers going through tough training and situations regardless of race, language or religion.
Lastly, it would be safety. Regardless of any situation, whatever medical personnel or where the closest medical center is, safety must be enforced by all operations of the singapore armed forces. We must protect the soldiers and keep them in tip top condition.
