[12:08] <Neph-GM> After the last day's unforseen but thankfully harmless events, and a good night's rest, on this morning the pilots shift their attentions to more pressing concerns.
[12:08] <Neph-GM> Armed with NERV-issued ID cards, which according to the Captain "will let <the pilots> buy stuff and go anywhere <they> might need to" and only being held onto the vague promise of "I might need you later," they're finally ready to explore the city of Elysium.
[12:08] <Neph-GM> Or not, depending on whether they can stand being cooped up together in a 3 room apartment.
[12:11] * DJ_Hammond puts his ID in his wallet.
[12:11] * Katie_OShae asks the others if they want to go do anything or maybe stay and play some games.
[12:11] * Abraham is reading the classifieds section of a newspaper.
[12:12] * Lianna_Cien pockets her ID in the safest place she can think of, a small pocket sewed into the inside of her shirt.
[12:13] <Lianna_Cien> Personally, I'd rather like to go out and see what there is to do around here. How about you guys?
[12:14] <Katie_OShae> "Um, sure. Do you know what's around?"
[12:14] <DJ_Hammond> "Sounds good to me!"
[12:14] * Katie_OShae looks to Abe as she asks.
[12:15] <Abraham> "Have fun."
[12:15] <Neph-GM> Unexpectedly, the doorbell rings.
[12:17] * Katie_OShae goes off to answer it.
[12:19] <Neph-GM> Outside lies a man in an olive uniform, holding a tablet on one hand. By his feet are a pair of brown boxes with QR-coded stamps. "Package for huh, a Miss Lianna Cien and a David Jonas Hammond."
[12:19] * DJ_Hammond cringes at his real name being used, but comes up to the door.
[12:20] * Lianna_Cien joins him at the door
[12:20] * Katie_OShae gets out of the way.
[12:20] * Abraham pulls out a pen and circles a prospective apartment, locations like a dozen blocks away but the rooms criteria matches.
[12:25] <Neph-GM> "David Jonas?" The man ask, looking at his tablet then at DJ.
[12:26] * DJ_Hammond signs.
[12:27] <Neph-GM> The messenger places the tablet in front of DJ. "Your fingerprint, please."
[12:29] * DJ_Hammond looks for a moment, then places his finger.
[12:29] <DJ_Hammond> back in his hometown they still signed things.
[12:30] <Neph-GM> The man shrugs and holsters the tablet of his belt, then squats down to pick a medium-sized rectangular box. "Your package."
[12:31] * DJ_Hammond takes it from him. "Thank you sir."
[12:32] <Neph-GM> With a practiced motion the messanger releases a pistol-shaped scanner from another holster on his belt, without looking scans the second box, and holsts it back. He holds out the tablet to Lianna. "If you may."
[12:33] * Lianna_Cien places her finger on the tablet without any delay.
[12:34] <Neph-GM> There's a beep. "Thank you, Miss Cien." The messenger hands Lianna her package, a much smaller box, before taking his leave.
[12:36] * Lianna_Cien walks over to a table to open the package
[12:36] * DJ_Hammond places his box on his couch and starts opening it.
[12:36] <Neph-GM> Inside the boxes, both pilots find their personal effects. Or more accurately, their more personal effects. One would assume they'd arrive alongside the rest of their luggage...
[12:37] * DJ_Hammond pulls a baseball bat out of his box.
[12:38] * DJ_Hammond smiles, and goes through the rest of the box.
[12:43] * Katie_OShae peeks at the contents
[12:44] * Lianna_Cien pulls out a pair of brass knuckles, a small necklace, and a bundled up black scarf with red marks on the ends.
[12:45] <Abraham> "How do you guys feel about windows?"
[12:46] <DJ_Hammond> "Why?"
[12:47] * Katie_OShae looks over at Abraham with a confused expression.
[12:47] <Abraham> ""Good price, spacious, few windows so no sun waking you up in the morning.""
[12:48] <Lianna_Cien> He's apartment hunting, clearly. He wants some of us gone.
[12:48] <Abraham> "I warned you guys, you have a week."
[12:50] * Katie_OShae frowns, looking down.
[12:53] * DJ_Hammond looks at the apartment Abe is mentioning
[12:55] <DJ_Hammond> He still has a wooden baseball bat in his hand. Up close you see several names on it.
[13:02] <Katie_OShae> "Um, can anyone, you know, call Reiko?"
[13:02] <Abraham> "I wrote her number down...somewhere."
[13:02] <Abraham> "Uhm."
[13:03] <Lianna_Cien> "You know, we can always walk...it would probably do some of us a lot of good.
[13:03] <Lianna_Cien> "
[13:06] <DJ_Hammond> "Yeah. That'd be easier."
[13:06] <Katie_OShae> "I guess."
[13:07] * Katie_OShae doesn't look particularly happy about it.
[13:09] <Lianna_Cien> "No complaints about it either, you need to be out walking more than any of us."
[13:10] <Katie_OShae> "..."
[13:11] <Abraham> "Everything worth seeing isn't too far away anyway."
[13:11] <Abraham> "The school is close if you want to check it out."
[13:12] <Lianna_Cien> "Sounds like a reasonable first stop."
[13:12] * Katie_OShae wipes her forehead, sweating a little already just from thinking of the walk. "How, um, how far is it?"
[13:13] <Abraham> "Maybe 20 minutes on foot?"
[13:13] <Abraham> "I bike...soo..."
[13:13] <Katie_OShae> "I walk.. slow."
[13:15] <Lianna_Cien> "Of course you do...for now at least."
[13:28] <Neph-GM> The path to Evergreen Secondary school from the housing unit the group are staying in is mostly peaceful and relaxed; low traffic, few pedestrians at this hour on a Sunday, the rays of the Sun reflected down this enclosed space by a series of massive mirrors and condensors on the surface. Introduced birds chirp and sing as they fly from tree to tree, and the controlled climate is pleasant.
[13:28] <Neph-GM> That is, until they reach the infamous Evergreen Crossroad. Incline to the right towards more housing, decline in front towards more business-oriented districts of Elysium, and a steep, curved path up the hill to the left that over 90% of the students of Evergreen must walk or ride bikes up to if they're to attend.
[13:29] * Katie_OShae groans.
[13:29] <Katie_OShae> "It's too much, I can't make that."
[13:29] * Lianna_Cien bursts out laughing
[13:29] <DJ_Hammond> "It's not that bad."
[13:29] * Abraham is now reading one of those little househunter magazines as he guides the group.
[13:29] * Katie_OShae is already breathing heavily.
[13:30] <Abraham> "You could always spring for bus fare."
[13:31] * Katie_OShae nods.
[13:36] * Katie_OShae walks over to the nearby busstop. "Which one goes to the school?"
[13:36] <Abraham> "I don't know, I bike."
[13:37] <Katie_OShae> "...I'll.. just ask.. I guess."
[13:40] <DJ_Hammond> "Race you up the hill," DJ says to Lianna.
[13:40] <Lianna_Cien> "You're on."
[13:40] * Katie_OShae props herself up against the sign.
[13:41] * Abraham waits for katie at the crossroads, still reading the magazine.
[13:41] <DJ_Hammond> "ready....GO!"
[13:41] * DJ_Hammond charges up the hill.
[13:41] * Lianna_Cien rockets up toward the top
[13:42] <Neph-GM> An info poster at the bust stop describes the different, crisscrossing and peripheral routes that intersect at this crossroad. Apparently, the one up the hill passes by every 20 minutes.
[13:43] * Katie_OShae looks at Abraham. "I'll be, uh, out of your hair.. soon."
[13:44] <Abraham> "It's up to you three who leaves."
[13:45] <Abraham> "If DJ and Lianna wanna move out, you'll get to stay."
[13:45] <Neph-GM> The race is on between the boy and the girl. Similarly long limbed, DJ's superior speed gives him an initial edge against the dark-haired girl, but the steep nature of the path soon slows him down while she presses on, sure-footed.
[13:46] <Neph-GM> By the mid point, the blond boy missteps, and Lianna presses her advantage, dashing past him and up the crest of the hill.
[13:47] <Neph-GM> Victory is hers.
[13:47] <Katie_OShae> "You.. don't care that, um, if I stay, I mean?"
[13:48] <Abraham> "Not particularly."
[13:48] <Neph-GM> Her time was 3:40, that's in the top 10 of the Evergreen Path!
[13:48] <Abraham> "Finding an apartment to accomodate three people would be difficult, and having to pay for three seperate apartments would be a bit much..."
[13:48] <Abraham> "I have free space anyway, just not enough for all of you."
[13:48] <Katie_OShae> "I was thinking I should go home.."
[13:49] <Abraham> "That's not an option."
[13:49] * DJ_Hammond follows up the hill afterwards, panting and running to a halt.
[13:49] <DJ_Hammond> "Tripped. Woulda won otherwise."
[13:49] <Katie_OShae> "They said.. um, they said they had someone else."
[13:50] <Lianna_Cien> "Would have been close either way, but it was fun."
[13:52] <Abraham> "There are other candidates."
[13:52] <Abraham> "But...there is a problem with using them."
[13:53] <Katie_OShae> "Um.. what's that?"
[13:53] <Abraham> "While details are classified, I will say this."
[13:54] <Neph-GM> Lianna and DJ reach Evergreen's front gate. It's closed, as would be expected of a Sunday, even if classes ha already started.
[13:54] <Abraham> "As far as I understand it, you are much better than the alternative...we all are, none of us can leave."
[13:54] <Katie_OShae> "That's not.. uh, not exactly what they said."
[13:55] <Abraham> "Who told you this?"
[13:57] <Katie_OShae> "The, umm.. woman who started the, uh, Eva.. she was apologizing, for like, what happened."
[13:57] <Abraham> "That was an unexpected occurance, rest assured it will not likely happen again."
[13:58] * Katie_OShae gives a sardonic laugh. It still sounds mostly like fran drescher. "Yeah, she said that too."
[14:00] <Abraham> "Again, my knowledge is limited and what i do know is classified."
[14:00] <Abraham> "But I will say it again, you three have been chosen for a number of reasons."
[14:01] <DJ_Hammond> "Katie and Abe probably ain't coming up this hill. Should we head down?"
[14:02] <Katie_OShae> "I can't fight. It hurt me." she sneezes into her hand and immediately wipes it on her clothes. "I can't even, you know, walk to the school."
[14:02] <Lianna_Cien> "Or we could jump the school gates and stake it out, see what I'll be working with."
[14:03] <Abraham> "Physical prowess does not matter inside an EVA."
[14:03] <Abraham> "While stamina does help, it is truly a mental thing."
[14:03] * Katie_OShae laughs, this time it's more grating. "It, er, makes me move faster?"
[14:04] <DJ_Hammond> "Sounds like fun."
[14:22] <Abraham> "I don't know, I've never truly pilotted an EVA."
[14:22] <Abraham> "Only in pod sync tests and simulators."
[14:22] <Katie_OShae> "Oh."
[14:28] <Katie_OShae> "So, you think, um, I should stay?"
[14:28] <Abraham> "Yes."
[14:35] <Neph-GM> After further waiting, a bus finally passes by the stop. In just a slightly longer while than it took them to board and pay their fare, it reaches the front of the school.
[14:36] * Katie_OShae gets back down and looks at the school.
[14:40] <Abraham> "I'd suggest planning your schedule accordingly to avoid long wait times."
[14:40] <Neph-GM>  The school has a modern, striking style, and in tune with the rest of Elysium, all the facilities appear to be in mint condition at a glance. There are several 4-storied buildings, two of which appear to be mainly classrooms, and towards the back they can spot the roof of what seems to be a gym.
[14:40] <Neph-GM> The unguarded gates are closed.
[14:40] <Katie_OShae> "Um, where are they?"
[14:40] <Abraham> "I don't know."
[14:42] <Katie_OShae> "I guess they, um, must have already, you know, gone home?"
[14:42] <Abraham> "We would have seen them."
[14:42] * Katie_OShae looks back at the departing bus.
[14:43] <Katie_OShae> "So they went in?"
[14:43] * Katie_OShae looks at the school and the gate.
[14:44] <Abraham> "Doubtful, the school is closed so there is nothing to see."
[14:44] <Katie_OShae> "They ditched us..."
[14:45] <Abraham> 'Possible."
[14:46] * Katie_OShae crosses to the other side of the street and waits at the bus-stop there.
[14:51] <Neph-GM> The birds sing and the sun shines while Katie patiently waits for the next bus. All is right with the world.
[15:12] <Katie_OShae> "So what did you do before you came here?"
[15:12] <Abraham> "Classified."
[15:12] <Katie_OShae> "What?"
[15:13] * Abraham has gone back to that monotone voice he uses when reikos around.
[15:13] <Katie_OShae> "I just mean, um, you know where are you from?"
[15:13] <Abraham> "Yes."
[15:13] <Katie_OShae> "Where?"
[15:13] <Abraham> "Classified."
[15:14] <Katie_OShae> "Um... Why is it classified?"
[15:14] <Abraham> "I am not at liberty to reveal details of my life prior to being transferred too Elysium."
[15:15] <Abraham> 'I do however, have a well fabricated lie."
[15:15] <Abraham> "If that will make you feel better."
[15:15] <Katie_OShae> "No, that's.. okay, thank you."
[15:18] <Katie_OShae> "Is it.. like witness protection or something?"
[15:18] <Neph-GM> Katie and Abraham spot the other two pilots not far from them. It appears... Lianna is sitting on top of DJ.
[15:19] <Abraham> "Hormomes."
[15:19] <Abraham> "...Wait, is it horomones?"
[15:19] * DJ_Hammond gets up after Lianna gets off, and brushes his pants and back of shirt off.
[15:19] <Lianna_Cien> "I promise...that won't happen again."
[15:20] <DJ_Hammond> "You're fine."
[15:20] <Lianna_Cien> "I think the others see us though."
[15:21] * DJ_Hammond looks around for them.
[15:23] * Lianna_Cien dusts herself off and hides her slight embarrassment.
[15:29] <Neph-GM> After their stint at the deserted school, the group decides that some food is in order. A bus ride later they find themselves at a not-far off pizza, not an unpopular spot for students during school days, but emtpy on this weekend.
[15:30] <Neph-GM> After taking their orders they find the quality is good but not as good as the one they visited on their first day. Still, it's both cheaper and much better than what most of them are used to.
[15:31] * Abraham only takes like, one and a half slices.
[15:31] <Lianna_Cien> "Not too bad...maybe we should actually coordinate our plans after this though."
[15:32] * DJ_Hammond has a slice of pepperoni. He's hungry after the race and nonsense on school grounds.
[15:32] * Katie_OShae tears though most of a pizza and starts on a different one.
[15:33] <Abraham> "I think i'm done house hunting for the day...found three perspective places.:
[15:33] <Abraham> "
[15:33] <Abraham> "But you guys need to decide who's staying and who's going."
[15:35] <Katie_OShae> "I'll go."
[15:37] * Katie_OShae swallows the chunk of pizza after saying so.
[15:39] * Abraham slides her the househunting magazine.
[15:39] <Abraham> "I found three apartments that would be suitable."
[15:39] <Abraham> "Two in this magazine, one in the newspaper."
[15:40] <Katie_OShae> "No, I mean.."
[15:40] * Katie_OShae stops herself and looks over them.
[15:41] <Neph-GM> *SCREEEEEEEECH*
[15:41] <Neph-GM> Turning around, you spot a familiar red car parked exactly in front of a fire hydrant and wheelchair ramp. Out of it steps a short, black haired woman wearing a dark-green jacket. She removes her sunglasses, revealing none other than Captain Reiko Shishigami.

[15:41] <Abraham> "Damnit."
[15:41] <Neph-GM> "Found you!" She says, gleefully.
[15:42] <Reiko_Shishigami> "Oh, you're having a meal? I guess I can wait for you guys to finish."
[15:43] <DJ_Hammond> "I'm done."
[15:43] <Reiko_Shishigami> "No, no, don't feel pressured." She raises her palms in front of her.
[15:43] <DJ_Hammond> "No. I'm actually done."
[15:44] <Abraham> "We are almost finished, captain."
[15:44] <Abraham> "What business brings you here?"
[15:45] <Reiko_Shishigami> "Eto... always straight to business, Abe?" She tilts her head and smiles.
[15:45] <Abraham> "Time is a luxury few can afford."
[15:46] <Reiko_Shishigami> "True, true..." she nods.
[15:48] * Katie_OShae finishes another piece, wiping her mouth on her sleeve. She looks at Reiko, waiting.
[15:49] <Lianna_Cien> "So? We're all listening..."
[15:49] <Reiko_Shishigami> "I should be more serious I suppose..." She straightens up, and speaks with a colder voice and serious demeanor. "Pilots Hammond and O'shea, you're ordered to report to NERV HQ as soon as possible for Evangelion Testing."
[15:50] * Katie_OShae shrinks back some.
[15:50] * DJ_Hammond is happy. He was a bit disappointed that he couldn't pilot yesterday.
[15:51] <Reiko_Shishigami> "...How was that?" She asks, more timidly.
[15:51] <DJ_Hammond> "The pizza?"
[15:51] <DJ_Hammond> "It was good."
[15:52] * Reiko_Shishigami looks down and shakes her head, groaning.
[15:53] <Lianna_Cien> "Thank you for getting to the subject at hand, though...you really can be serious more often if you like.
[15:53] <Katie_OShae> "I don't, um, I don't want go back."
[15:54] * Reiko_Shishigami perks up.
[15:54] <Reiko_Shishigami> "Sorry, but you have to, Katie."
[15:54] * Katie_OShae looks down.
[15:54] <Reiko_Shishigami> "C'mon, it's just some more testing, I promise it won't hurt this time."
[15:56] <Katie_OShae> "When people keep telling you over and over, you know, that it won't hurt, it sounds like they're really saying, that uh, it will."
[15:59] <Reiko_Shishigami> "It's just testing Katie. It's not supposed to hurt, and if it does it just means that Technical has to fix it so it doesn't hurt anymore."
[15:59] <Reiko_Shishigami> "And you're the only one that can help us with that."
[15:59] <Katie_OShae> "No I'm not. You..said there was someone else.."
[16:02] * Reiko_Shishigami makes a troubled face.
[16:02] <Abraham> "As I said, Katie."
[16:03] <Abraham> "There are complications to using alternatives."
[16:04] * Reiko_Shishigami glances at Abraham with a surprised face, then turns back to Katie and nods.
[16:05] <Reiko_Shishigami> "You're our best and only option to pilot Unit 01 at the moment."
[16:06] * Katie_OShae starts chewing on a nail.
[16:07] <Reiko_Shishigami> "I know we haven't known each other very long, but will you do it, for me?"
[16:07] <Katie_OShae> "I guess."
[16:08] <Reiko_Shishigami> "Great!" She practically jumps up and claps her hands.
[16:08] <Reiko_Shishigami> "Then let's go!"
[16:08] * Katie_OShae squeezes out of the seat and gets up to go.
[16:09] <DJ_Hammond> "I call shotgun."
[16:09] * DJ_Hammond hasn't ridden up front since he got here.
[16:10] * Katie_OShae climbs into the back.
[16:10] * Abraham kinda just sits there at the table.
[16:10] <Lianna_Cien> "Guess that just leaves the two of us here, eh?"
[16:10] <Reiko_Shishigami> "Then, you two," she says turning to Lianna and Abe, "consider yourselves on stand-by."
[16:11] <Abraham> "Yes, captain."
[16:11] <Lianna_Cien> "Will do."
[16:12] * Reiko_Shishigami gets in the car, which one a second glance appears to have parked opposite to the flow on a one way street...
[16:13] <Lianna_Cien> "Oh gods...she's gonna get them killed..."
[16:13] <Reiko_Shishigami> "Buckle up!"
[16:13] * Katie_OShae does so.
[16:14] * DJ_Hammond did well before being asked to.
[16:14] * Reiko_Shishigami starts up the engine, which somehow manages to purr despite it being an electric car.
[16:14] * DJ_Hammond is also holding on to the bar above the door and silently praying.
[16:15] <Neph-GM> *SCREEEEEEEECH*
[16:15] <Abraham> "Now what?"
[16:15] <Neph-GM> The car accelerates away, leaving tire marks.
[16:21] <Neph-GM> Soon after, and after a treatment not unlike the one in the previous day, DJ and Katie find themselves inside their entry plugs.
[16:22] * DJ_Hammond doesn't swim up like last time.
[16:22] <DJ_Hammond> Inhaling LCL is still hard to do though.
[16:22] * Katie_OShae grips the chair tightly, to tense to do anything else.
[16:26] <Neph-GM> An holographic commscreen manifests in front of each pilot, brief static quickly resolving itself into the crystal clear image of Dr_Ionides.

[16:27] * DJ_Hammond is relieved there's no hell-eye this time
[16:28] * Katie_OShae gulps.
[16:28] <Dr_Ionides> "Alright pilots, can you hear me? Say 'aye' for yes."
[16:28] <DJ_Hammond> "aye"
[16:29] <Katie_OShae> "I."
[16:32] <Dr_Ionides> "Voice filter needs work, but obedient little monsters aren't they?" The last she seems to have asked to someone besides her, just offscreen.

[16:39] <Dr_Ionides> "Alright, listen up. I've got good news and great news. Good news first: I convinced him to run these tests on the auxiliary containment chambers. This means if you go wild I can put you down, manually. Great news is that nothing will go wrong..." She leans closer to the camera. "Right?"
[16:40] * Katie_OShae just looks unsure.
[16:40] * DJ_Hammond looks ready.
[16:46] <Katie_OShae> "Can I get out? I, um, I don't want to.. I don't want to do this."
[16:47] <Dr_Ionides> "Get, 01? Too late for that."
[16:47] <Dr_Ionides> "Switch Hypnos to level 4. Ready the Synaptics Control Cluster. Bakelite Sprayers on
[16:47] <Dr_Ionides> stand-by."
[16:48] * DJ_Hammond watches.
[16:48] <Neph-GM> "Aye, ma'am." A female voice responds.
[16:48] * Katie_OShae tries to get up out of the seat but can't even manage that at this point.
[16:49] <Dr_Ionides> "We're starting with 01. Status on the Containment Seals... good, increase the power feed and commence activation."
[16:51] <Neph-GM> "A10 connection established."
[16:51] * Katie_OShae shifts awkwardly in her seat, a small groan escaping her lips.
[16:51] <Neph-GM> "All motive systems active and within parameters.
[16:51] <Neph-GM> Synchronization Ratio..."
[16:52] <Neph-GM> "...locked at 20%. No abnormalities."
[16:53] * Katie_OShae untenses after a long moment, but doesn't move otherwise.
[16:53] <DJ_Hammond> "See? You're fine."
[16:53] <Dr_Ionides> "Aha!" The doctor exclaims with a self-satisfied smile.
[16:55] <Neph-GM> "How are you feeling?" A familiar voice asks. It's Reiko. The doctor glances to her side and the camera pans, showing her clad in the NERV uniform.
[16:55] <Katie_OShae> "Itchy.."
[16:55] <Neph-GM> "Bear with it."
[16:56] * Katie_OShae sighs, finally letting go of the seat and starting to scratch herself.
[16:57] <Dr_Ionides> "Mackenzie?"
[16:58] <Neph-GM> "Still no abnormalities. Everything within parameters." Responds the unseen female voice.
[16:59] <Dr_Ionides> "Leave it active and locked. We're moving onto the main event now."
[16:59] * DJ_Hammond assumes she's referring to him.
[16:59] <DJ_Hammond> "Why am I the main event?"
[17:01] <Dr_Ionides> The doctor grins. "Commence activation procedure."
[17:01] <Neph-GM> "Acknowledged. Increasing power feed."
[17:02] <Dr_Ionides> "Synaptics?"
[17:02] <Neph-GM> "Stable."
[17:02] <Dr_Ionides> "Motive systems."
[17:02] <Neph-GM> "Powered and within parameters."
[17:02] * Katie_OShae watches DJ on her screen.
[17:03] <Dr_Ionides> "Establish A10 connection."
[17:05] <Neph-GM> "Done. Aeacus monitoring the datastream."
[17:06] <Neph-GM> A man in the NERV uniform rushes to the doctor. He tries to show her a slate computer but she just glances at it and shoos him away.
[17:08] <Neph-GM> "Hypnos fluctuation!"
[17:08] * DJ_Hammond shudders and looks around the cockpit.
[17:08] <Dr_Ionides> "Sever neural links B2 and B3. Clamp it down."
[17:09] <Neph-GM> "Acknowledged. Hypnos... stable."
[17:09] <DJ_Hammond> "The heck was that?"
[17:10] <Dr_Ionides> "A glitch. Switch containment to orange."

[17:11] * DJ_Hammond still feels a vague throbbing pain.
[17:11] <Dr_Ionides> "00, who are you?" She asks.
[17:12] <Katie_OShae> "Why, um why wouldn't he know that?"
[17:12] <DJ_Hammond> "DJ Hammond. Why?"
[17:13] <Dr_Ionides> "Because I need you to focus on that. Unlock all neural connections..."
[17:13] <Dr_Ionides> "...switch Hypnos to level 5."
[17:15] <Neph-GM> A flood of new sensations course through DJ. He's no longer just a boy, he's now a giant. His eyes open, and he can see the inside of the white box he has been put into.
[17:16] * DJ_Hammond turns his head slightly, if he can.
[17:17] <Neph-GM> The body of the giant responds to the boy's will, and its head moves.
[17:17] * DJ_Hammond raises an arm.
[17:18] <Neph-GM> The giant responds in kind. It's not his arm, yet this armored black-and-blue limb is his.
[17:18] <Dr_Ionides> "00, how are you feeling?"
[17:18] <DJ_Hammond> "Fine, but this is kinda weird."
[17:19] <Neph-GM> "Synch ratio, stable at 57%. Ego barrier - undamaged," you hear a woman say. The doctor takes out a lighter from her pocket and finally lits up her cigarrete. Reiko smiles.
[17:20] <Dr_Ionides> "Enable all sensors and start calibrations."
[17:21] <DJ_Hammond> 57 sounds like a good number to DJ. That means he's half in his head and half in the giant robot.
[17:21] <Neph-GM> Captain Shishigami steps forward, and camera focuses on her. "DJ, Katie, you did good today."
[17:22] * DJ_Hammond has the robot give her a thumbs up.
[17:22] <Neph-GM> The Captain smiles. "Katie, it didn't hurt did it?"
[17:23] <Katie_OShae> "No."
[17:23] * DJ_Hammond then notices the claws his eva is packing.

[17:24] <Reiko_Shishigami> "See? I ke-"
[17:24] <Neph-GM> An alarm sounds.
[17:24] <Neph-GM> In front of the pilots, a large red-lettered sign appears. It reads:
[17:25] <Neph-GM> "CODE 666"
[17:25] <DJ_Hammond> "Reiko? What's a Code 666?"
[17:26] <Neph-GM> The video feed zooms out, revealing the NERV command center. Alarms are blaring on the background, red lights flashing.
[17:26] <Katie_OShae> "Um..."
[17:26] <Neph-GM> The sign transforms into "TYPE-BLUE: CONFIRMED"
[17:27] <Reiko_Shishigami> "Report! She yells out.
[17:28] <Neph-GM> Over the dim the pilots faintly hear something regarding monitoring stations.
[17:30] <Katie_OShae> "What's happening? Can, um, can I go home now?"
[17:31] <Reiko_Shishigami> "On screen!"
[17:31] <DJ_Hammond> "Reiko?"
[17:32] <Neph-GM> The buzz of activity the pilots are seeing ceases for an instant, as everyone gazes upon an image just above the camera the pilots are seeing things through. A couple people take a step back.
[17:33] <Reiko_Shishigami> "They're here."
[17:34] <DJ_Hammond> "The angels?"
[17:34] <Neph-GM> To the side of the pilots a new video window opens up. It reads "Sender: UNKNOWN" and displays only static for a few seconds, before it resolves into...

[17:38] <Neph-GM> A black humanoid shape against the orange sky, headless, with overly long, wiry arms and fingers. Points of light rain down upon him, from the sky and the horizon, but it moves forth untroubled. Suddenly, red "eyes" flash on its chest, and the image dissolves into static once more before the window disappears.
