- Reading questions you both got wrong:
- 8 - paraphrase - C (This is the only answer choice that also includes a cause and an effect.)
- 16 - negative fact - D (They have internal clocks, which means they don’t depend mostly on external cues.)
- 17 - vocabulary - C (Something that persists continues for a long time.)
- 18 - vocabulary - A (As in length of time.)
- 19 - paraphrase - B (Again, this is the only answer choice that expresses a contrast between two ideas.)
- 24 - reference - A (“it” refers specifically to the subject of the sentence, “such an external cue”, and we know they’re talking about cues “such as sunrise” from the previous sentence.)
- 25 - vocabulary - B (To “sustain” something means to keep it, so if you keep it dark, then there is uninterrupted darkness.)
- 26 - sentence insertion - B (The new sentence explains the sentence before it -- why does it “seem to keep…”? -- and sets us up for the contrast in the next sentence.)
