  1. Concept words: [Slime Maid] [Inverted Eyes] [Combination of creepy and ominous, and chaste attributes] [Madness]
  2.
  3. This time, it's the Cthulhu Mythos Slime Maid, Shoggoth-san...
  4. In the original mythos, Shoggoths were amorphous creatures with bodies akin to tar, with a signature cry of "Tekeli-li!", and their bodies could freely spawn cells and body parts.
  5. They were originally created by a higher power known as the "Old Ones", as servants, but before long Shoggoths who gained intelligence revolted against their ancient masters.
  6.
  7. The Encyclopedia version seems to have escaped from their former master, due to their envy from watching their masters engaging with their husbands, and set out to find ideal husbands of their own.
  8.
  9. As they were originally amorphous servant organisms, and a number of other creators have personified them as amorphous maids, the MGE version of course had to belong to the Slime family! So while I hadn't quite settled on things like her expression yet, her design, and her ability to create various utensils and furniture from her body had been determined from the start.
  10.
  11. In the second rough design, while her eyes were originally wide open to show madness, here I went with something more sensual for her expression and gaze, with the shine in her eyes still reflecting the madness lurking within...
  12.
  13. And well, though I decided to make her a slime girl, this was still a "Shoggoth" through and through, and she had to look the part! To get that kind of image for her, for the coloring I decided on a gradient of mysterious purple, to deep blue close to black, and gave her black sclerae. The variety of tools she's created from her body were made to fit that color scheme as well.
  14.
  15. Similarly to the Kikimora and such, she mimics the appearance of a Victorian era maid (tentatively), but those aren't clothes at all. It's all a part of her body.
  16.
  17. Her design follows the Cthulhu girls' theme of body parts made of tentacles (in this case, her clothes and ponytail), and from gaps in them drips forth mucus and an eerie light shining from something akin to pupils.
  18.
  19. Even though she's a girl of the Cthulhu mythos, she's still a maid, and the image of chastity is vital to that, and the most difficult part was easily to preserve that "neatness" to her.

  23. As for her white breasts that are proudly displayed amid her tentacle-clothing, at first glance you may believe them to simply be covered by a white dress, but from the jiggly, slimy texture, you can tell it's actually her bare chest rather than clothing. Since she's a slime, they're somewhat transparent, and you can see the tentacle-clothing behind them through them.
  24.
  25. For the hairstyle, the ponytail has a feel of neatness to it (though it just kinda hangs and drips all over the place). I find her hair spreading out to her sides to be kind of a charm point.
  26.
  27. It should be noted that while she seems to have eyes all over her body (though they're really just light-producing organs of sorts), one of them, in the position of where a normal girl's uterus would be, has a heart mark on it. Apparently when she feels strong love and devotion for her master, the mark shines more brightly, but it also lights up when she's particularly lustful...
  28.
  29. And that's all on her.
