I said that Blast, just a couple of days ago. The rest of us have said basically the same thing at one time or another, too. 15[01:59] * +Kirengo shakes his head slightly, his eyes never leaving the wood of the table. He either doesn't hear Blastwave or isn't acknowledging him. "Anyway, I get woken up and I get a face full of the strangest ghoul I've ever seen. Was Blast, except most of his skin still hadn't fallen off yet. Clipped fixes me up. Blast passes out. We get attacked by raiders. I kill them all, get a nice set of broken ribs while Clipped gets a broken jaw. She fixes us both back up and then we head to stable... stable whatever it was."

07[02:01] * +Clipped_Cantle snorts. "I didn't fix my jaw, I fucked that up pretty good. That's how I ended up with this metal one."
15[02:02] * +Kirengo shrugs. "My ribs were fine, though."
07[02:02] * +Blastwave sort of zebra stealths to a corner and listens
07[02:03] * +Alias looks to Mercury, awaiting an answer

07[02:07] * +Mercury glances over to Alias and droops her wing. "You need to understand something first. The Enclave has a very effective propaganda machine. What we knew was that a surface terrorist had declared war on us by detonating a balefire weapon during a mission of peace.”
07[02:08] * +Alias notes; "With an omnicidal psychopathic demi-god. I can see why they might have wanted that left off the dossier."
07[02:11] * +Mercury gives Alias a little glower for a short second. “I got reassigned to the Pyrocumulus and sent on a mission to capture a traitor and terrorist leader. We were told they were hiding in a stronghold that you call Friendship City.”
07[02:12] * +Alias raises an eyebrow; "I'm gonna guess that was ld Man Radar

07[02:12] * +Blastwave "What? Dashite Radar? Why would the Enclave go after him now."
15[02:13] * +Kirengo blinks and looks up when he hears Blastwave speak.
07[02:13] * +Blastwave was supposed to be quiet, that part just surprised him
07[02:14] * +Alias clarifies; "He was pretty well known in Friendship City, and I ran into him one time when I was working there. Didn't talk with him much; had a thick accent."
07[02:14] * +Mercury “When we saw the AA guns, it only reaffirmed what we had been told.” She looks over to Blastwave. “I don’t know. We were told he was giving tactical data on the Enclave forces and cities that the surface would use against us.”
15[02:15] * +Kirengo looks at Blastwave for several seconds before returning to his counting.
07[02:15] * +Blastwave "By the council, he had to be... eighty? Or older. You'd think they'd focus on Deadshot Calamity, any information Radar would have would be old."
07[02:18] * +Mercury shrugs. “We are rather stagnant. Knowing how to hurt a Raptor or soft spots of our armor is just as valid now as it was two hundred years ago. As for why him, I have no idea, that was above my grade.”
07[02:20] * +Blastwave shakes his head, "Just seems pointless. I mean Deadshot they could paint as a rebel leader trying to undermind the Grand Pegasus Enclave, but killing an old stallion? Hard sell, but I understand."
07[02:20] * +Alias shrugs; "If memory serves, he was still a decent shot, but like Blastwave said, he's old as fuck."
07[02:20] * +Mercury “Anyway, we sent in some troops to look into it and demand he be turned over… That didn’t go very well.”
15[02:22] * +Kirengo scuffs his hoof lightly on the table as he counts. Only his ears are really giving away that he's listening intently.
07[02:24] * +Mercury “I spoke out, as did quite a few others on the coms.” She scratches at the air above her wing stump with a hoof. “Not my smartest move on a bridge full of zelots, I must admit.”
07[02:24] * +Blastwave "... you don't know they were zelots, maybe they were just smarter than you."
07[02:29] * +Mercury shakes her head. “They were the captain’s ponies. Even if any of them weren’t, they still opened fire on the city. I don’t know about any of them, but I didn’t sign up to vaporize children.”
15[02:30] * +Kirengo pauses his counting and raises an eyebrow at Blastwave.
07[02:31] * +Blastwave "Neither did I, but maybe they were scared. Afraid of speaking up. It's not right, but it's understandable. They tried to kill you, and might have killed them."
07[02:33] * +Mercury waves her hoof. "They just tried to throw me in the brig."
07[02:34] * +Blastwave "And tried to shoot down the raptor that rebelled. Well, succeded. I'm saying from their perspective they might have been too frightened to disobey, and rightfully so. It's not fair to paint them all with the same brush."
15[02:39] * +Kirengo goes back to counting.
07[02:48] * +Blastwave wonders if Mercury died, that'd be sad
07[02:50] * +Mercury sighs. “Yes, they were following orders. I know. Be it out of an overabundance of loyalty or fear, they did.” She shakes her head. “But, yeah, I know what you mean. I managed to talk one of my guards into joining me in defecting to the Alto.”
07[02:51] * +Blastwave nods, "Exactly, who knows who else could have been turned. It's not black and white. It's like a mess of grey stuff."
07[02:52] * +Mercury nods. “We are very fiercely agreeing with each other.”
04[02:53] * +Blastwave snickers, "Just saying..." with a sigh he walks over to Kirengo... then pokes in to see if he's broken.

15[02:55] * +Kirengo halts his counting and looks up at Blastwave. "Hi."

07[03:00] * +Blastwave sighs, "Listen I didn't mean to insuintate you're a racist. It's just... confusing. Whenever the Enclave is brought up part of me still leaps to defend them, and then another part wants to see them burn, and a third part is trying to reconcile the differences to something that makes sense. And I get worried and confused, and I'm sorry."
15[03:04] * +Kirengo "Okay..." He bites his lip. "But can you try to have a little bit of faith in me? Please?"

07[03:06] * +Mercury bites her lip and scoots back a little to give them space.

07[03:13] * +Mercury thinks. 'All the ones who look at you and assume that you are utterly evil because you have wings and you don't have a branded haunch.'
07[03:13] * +Blastwave blushes and sighs, "Sorry."
15[03:14] * +Kirengo "Is that a yes...?"
07[03:14] * +Alias looks to Mercury; "So how did you meet up with the rest of this group after that?"
07[03:15] * +Blastwave "It's a yes, sorry for being an ass. I've just been... deflective since i got down here. Coping method, you know."
15[03:17] * +Kirengo nods. "Yes, I know. And I understand you using it... with everyone else..." He just has it in his mind that he might be different from 'everyone else', though.
07[03:19] * +Mercury glances over to Alias. "The Rangers patched me up after the crash. I met that winged zebra trying to haggle... badly. I gave him a hoof with the clerk and we got to talking. I said I worked in an SPP tower for a few years and he told me about a little mission. I figured it would be a chance to start making up for what my government was doing."

15[03:30] * +Kirengo glances at the... five mares in the room then looks back at Blastwave, slightly raising his eyebrows as well as slightly raising his wing on Blastwave's side.

15[03:32] * +Kirengo puts his wing over the ghoul and gives him a nuzzle. "It's okay."
