Earlier after yet another devolved argument in which someone who usually respects my opinions and analysis resorted to accusing me of an all too familiar 'conspiratorial thinking' for suggesting american totalizing power ravaging the earth, where I take 'american' to mean the marriage of political & economic relations and its capacity to colonize humanity today. It is indeed a scary realization to fully appreciate the totalizing power of empire, in fact one can't wrap ones mind around what several trillion dollars in intelligence funding can provide a state hellbent on world conquest if we are able to find so many things out with resources incomparable to theirs,

yet the dominant instinct on the left is this, that they would rather imagine empire is bumbling, careless, reckless, 'daring', irresponsible, short-sighted, and that this is why their "plans are foiled" from time to time, than they would imagine that in fact it is a very *real* opposition to such plans by equally *real* agents foiling them; that, for example, it is not the Israeli states bumbling plans to colonize that has failed to wipe Palestinians off the map but Palestinians who refuse to die, and as such, unravel them. that Palestinians refuse defeat is something they are now made to pay for by western marxists claiming they still exist, and thus, Israel must not be genocidal, or that, since the murders and expulsions are incremental, they must not really be aimed towards some more vicious, calculating plot, are just moments in this short-sighted and belligerent irrational war machine that we are asked to make no long-term sense of, despite millions of our tax dollars funding its capacities to plan or, as the western marxists will say, 'blunder' and squander them needlessly (all this, of course, coming from people who indeed agree the zionisit entity is an illegitimate settler colony structurally designed for the appropriation of land and resources...)

4) contempt for historical re-theorizations any marxist would find and demand necessary in commonly established intervals

5) the insistence on the idea that power corrupts, power and not money or commodity fetishism (the money cell), but power as any attempt towards intentional handling of the fetishism
