  1. Recap:
  2.
  3. With fuel now accounted for, the Specter now needed to address its dwindling food and material resources as it now has to provide for its severely over-capacity crew. To that end, salvage teams were organized to recover materiel from the sites of battle between the fleets - a bitter reminder of already fragile tensions - as well as resources from what appeared to be an HA military research facility on the moon the battle took place next to. Even as you left, you saw signs of the survivors of the space station rescue being quarantined for possible infection.
  4.
  5. The facility showed little outward sign of hydra infection, though it would become apparent that the facility's thick, shielded outer walls were a possible source of interference with detecting them from the Specter. Your team found evidence that the facility was run by sympathizers to the New Humanity Front and had been performing illegal experiments of unclear purpose, under the codename of 'M3'. What connection this had to the incident on the planet itself remains unclear. Whatever the case, the experiment seemed to be distantly related to the concept of homunculi - digital, nonsapient copies of human consciousness used for different (usually educational) purposes. The word 'decorp' also came up often, you found. Decorporealization is the idea of implanting a consciousness into a different space, unit or form without breaking its subjective continuity, something that's generally considered to be impossible. Homunculi are a form of 'false' decorp.
  6.
  7. You would further find that there were Hydra within the building - deep in the basements, maintenance halls, and ventilation running from the facility's oxygen production hub. They proceeded to assimilate various equipment around the repair bay, including a nearly intact Everest, a printer, and the body of an unknown, likely Harrison Armory affiliated pilot (callsign 'Dethsplosion") who possessed a concierge unit in an ontological port on his person. Though you managed to defeat the group handily, the infected Everest's power was somewhat above previously seen Hydra parameters. Following the fight, you extracted whatever materials and printers remained, heading back to the Specter. You could only hope the other operations went well, but with dangers both external and internal possibly building, what was the FFT's next step?
