- 0. Intro - why it's a good offlaner and why its better on offlane that anywhere else. (space creator, benefits from solo XP and doesnt need gold as such, and creates a world of problems for the enemy carry) (fairly reliable escape mechanism).
- 01. Pub stats - pho winrate, pick rate etc. skill level.
- 001. Pro scene - is it being picked, how's it doing?
- 0a. Quick overview of the 4 skills and what they do (with example vids).
- 1. Skill build (1,2,2,1,2,4,2,1,1,1) -mention why fire spirits are best and why to leave beam til later.
- 2. Starting items/skill
- - dive, always (except for maybe aggro trilane). Dive out of the fountain to start your fiery journey!
- - ideal starting items (tango, salve, 2x clarity, ring of protection, 1 branch). Mention that its possible to get wards instead of some of these but risky, depending on their lane.
- 3. Block camp - with vid clip and explanation.
- 4. Block creeps (letting range creep go first, where to start block, where you want the creeps to meet) + give reasons
- 5. Laning stage
- - point about no action at all before level 3. (edit: you can use fire spirits at level 2 to stop a support from harrasing you, the overall damage + autoattacks will keep them away).
- Give tips on what to do at levels 1+2 as this is the hardest phase usually.
- - make it very clear that you should only use the dive for escaping/kills.
- Wasting it will get you kill as phoenix is very squishy! mention about large CD on dive
- - point about using fire spirits to stop carry farming and to out-harrass the support, explain how to land these effectively
- - staying in xp range and last hit/deny if safe
- - what to do if their supports pull the creeps to small/large camps.
- - point about going aggressive at level 5
- - point about going for a kill at level 6, with the magic 310 mana - give example situations backed up by vids.
- -give loads of example lane scenarios and why they are good and bad.
- - dual offlanes can work but usually not as effective (except undying!)
- -aggro trilane can be good for phoenix too, although he misses out on the much-needed XP.
- 6. Item build
- - suggest best item build overall (tranquils, urn, magic stick, veil, shivas)
- - alternative items (mek, pipe, dagon)
- - luxury/situational (midas if good start, orb of venom, dominator, halberd, Eblade, sheepstick, necro 3, linkens, heart, refresher, radiance for trolling)
- - note about getting support items e.g. wards, smoke as phoenix isn't item dependent.
- - mention EULS vs silences
- - advise to use the same item slots every game, e.g. x for veil, c for urn etc. (especially careful with refresher!)
- - early gem for dewarding can be great on pho as you cant easily be killed.
- - mention why bottle isnt necessary (unless you're on mid perhaps)
- - mention why blink and forcestaff are not necessary as you have 2 mobility skills.
- 7. Heroes that phoenix is very good against (crap early game heroes e.g. spectre, void, PA, illuson heros [except TB, meepo], strength carries, shitty supports e.g. CM). Also TA for refraction burn, clock for trapping himself in cogs with egg, sand king, axe.
- 8. Heroes to watch out for (phoenix is good vs everything else!)
- ATK SPEED
- -huskar (mention that this is the only hero that beats phoenix 1v1, hands down. mention beam as the best counter as it's pure dmg).
- -meepo
- -terrorblade (illusions can hit egg)
- -troll warlord (whole team atk speed)
- -ursa (overpower)
- -clinkz (strafe)
- -lifestealer (rage)
- -weaver's double hit from geminate attack
- +others
- SILENCES
- -silencer (bastard!)
- -riki smoke screen (just run out of it)
- -skywrath
- -earth spirit
- -puck
- OTHERS
- KOTL mana leak
- Bloodseeker Rupture
- Nukes from lina/lion
- abaddon/legion/omniknight purge spirits
- +add more possibly
- 9. Heroes that combine very well with flappy bird
- -axe
- -void
- -lifestealer
- -treant protector
- -earthshaker
- -sandking
- -tidehunter
- -disruptor
- 10. Mid-game/late game how to play phoenix and not feedix.
- - describe usual team fight combo (prepare spirits, shivas, dive, veil, spirits, ult). Explain the different outcomes depending on what the enemy does (atk or run)
- - a note on egg placement (either aggressive behind the enemy team, closer to your team, or to the side where it will be out of range or split the enemy team). All based on your judgement and communication with team.
- - note about generally not tp'ing to a lane just for xp/farm - you need the TP ready to help your team, as flappy can turn a teamfight around completely (early-mid game). Early game however, if you die you will want to TP back if there is XP to be had.
- - Roshan procedure, explain why pho is incredibly strong for rosh fights (damage, vision, egg on cliff).
- - using E to heal the whole team in push.
- - building loads of HP to scale beam (the only ability that scales with items). give example of damage/heal with 6slot beam build.
- - right click phoenix, dubious but possible!
- 11. Tricks
- - using E as escape across terrain and to give vision
- - drive by techiniques e.g. dagon, hex, warding
- - TP whilst E/Q can be next level escape
- - HOTD centaur stomp
- - E/Q cuts down trees so can prevent jukes and save blocked teammates
- - Rune steal dive - launch at 0:00! #nextlevelplays
- - beam + dive cancels blink? - check this
